  1. Yeah I think it is, lets just hope its not the main drop .
  2. I have a question about custom supports: When I make them they never seem to "fit together", is there a way round this? Pics: Please help! See what I mean?
  3. Track is now in place! All Pictures Courtesy Of Thorpe Park Mania Also I would like to credit this to jason10 as he posted this on a different site, I just thought I would pass on the good news.
  4. Yeah they will, I just forgot to state that in the post. Sorry. ^^^ Yeah the track type must be "Hyper Coaster" but your coaster must be a launched coaster, if that makes sense? The deadline will be the 11th of October, do you think that is ok? It can always be changed. Jordan.
  5. This is my first ever TR guys, be nice. We drove up to chertsey on the Saturday which took about 3 hours, the weather was beautiful! We pitched the tent in a mere 10 minutes, then relaxed the rest of the afternoon. I went to bed at about 10 as I was really excited and didn't want to be tired. The weather seemed to good to be true, it was! Day 1: We were awoken at about 5 in the morning by a thunder storm and heavy rain, it did not show any signs of stopping. Never the less we got ready and set off, we arrived at Thorpe Park at about 9.30 we could see Colossus testing which was a good sign, sadly not a sign of Stealth. We got in the park and went over to Flying Fish with my mum and 4 year old sister, she really enjoyed it; I mainly wanted the credit. Then we headed over to Nemesis Inferno where it delivered a great ride as usual! Got in a re-ride as well. The we got a hot dog from Canada Creek Hot dogs which was lovely! We then went and met up with one of TPR other members, jason10 and his dad, we headed over to Rush which I thought was a good ride. Next up, Colossus the worlds fist 10 looping roller coaster. Technically it features 1 loop but it means 10 inversions. After Colossus we rode X WTF which was okay, I don't know whats going on with the theming and quite frankly, I don't think Thorpe Park do either! After this we went on Vortex, Rumba Rapids and Time Voyagers and then ended the day on Vortex! Sadly Stealth was down all day, but there was always tomorrow! Day 2: Day 2 we kind of took it easy, we went on less rides and just chilled really. Until... At about 3 o'clock Stealth opened me and my friend looked at each other and were just like, OH MY GOD! We headed over there and it broke down about 3 times before we even got to the point of queuing! It got to about 5 o'clock and it re-opened and just as we got there, a rollback! They closed to queues which the ride was being re-set, but as soon as the where open, we were there! The queue time was approximately 120 minutes and the park was only open for another 40, so they let us stay behind after hours to ride! It was the best Ride I have ever been on, the launch was so amazing and the height was dazzling! I am so glad I waited for it! What a trip! Ride Ratings Stealth- Words cannot describe my ride on Stealth, it was absolutely amazing, the launch is just breathtaking! 10/10 Nemesis Inferno- Love this ride, its great fun but not to intense overall. 9/10 Colossus- Was fairly smooth in train 1, overall it was fun I really enjoyed it. 9/10 Flying Fish- Kiddie coaster, nothing great. 4/10 Vortex- My favourite flat ride in the park, shame it doesn't go on longer! 9/10 Quantum- A quite fun less intense flat ride. 7/10 Rush- Mixed opinions on this ride, first ride was great, second was not so! 7/10 X:/ No Way Out- Also known as X WTF it is such a weird ride, nothing special. 6/10 Rumba Rapids- Was fairly short for a rapids ride, good fun. 6/10 Loggers Leap- Fairly fun, I wouldn't wait for it tho. 6/10 Mr Monkeys Banana Boat- Just you average swing boat, didn't really enjoy it to much. 5/10 Time Voyagers- Good fun 4D cinema, was very well done. 7/10 Overall Ride Count: Nemesis Inferno X7 Vortex X3 Colossus X2 Rush X2 Quantum X2 Flying Fish X2 Stealth X1 X:/ No Way Out X1 Rumba Rapids X1 Mr Monkeys Banana Boat X1 Loggers Leap X1 Time Voyagers X1 Now, on with the pictures and 2 videos! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoiwlQ9f9oU and... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRpgjzgdwvw Me on the left again! 6. Nice TR man, USA has some insane coasters. I'm debating putting my Thorpe Park PTR on TPR but its only my second and is probably not very good. What do you think? Once again great TR, Steel Hawg looks unreal!
  7. Loving the new restraints, I cant wait to see how they perform! Jordan.
  8. Ok thanks, would you be interested? I am updating the rules now.
  9. Hey guys do you mind if I use your elements in my next project? I will credit them both to you. Jordan.
  10. I haven't seen a contest on here for a while, so here goes. The contest will be judged by me and other TPR members, I will not be entering the competition. The deadline will be the 11th of October 2008 The contest will be: The best Intamin launched coaster. Rules: Max speed- 80 MPH Max height- 200ft No red G's Your coaster has to be supported Your coaster type must be "Hyper Coaster" It must contain at least 1 launch Your coaster will be judge on: Originality Concept Realism Support work Intensity Smoothness Contestants: monkeyoverlord71- Track file posted coasterguy99- Track file posted Exceller- Track file posted weetopia- Track file posted DBru- Track file posted jamjar- Track file posted
  11. ^ Agreed Also your banking was wrong in quite a few place, it was getting a lot rougher nearer then end. Try using the smooth tool (ctrl and g) effectively. I would just like to add this is only your second coaster so don't get disheartened by this I am just trying to help, I actually thought it was quite good for your second coaster. Maybe try and improve it and post the track again? Jordan.
  12. Nice TR! I need to get to America to do some serious coaster riding. Cedar Point is my most anticipated park, it looks so unreal!
  13. ^ Yeah, it will take about 4 weeks to get everything in check, then we will see what the outcome will be. Today is the day that scientist will boot up ye' old killing machine . I really hope it all works, just imagine being able to make anything weightless, although it will only be available to a minority of top scientists.
  14. When I was 13 I flew to Australia by myself, I had to have a assistant who checked up on me every hour or so and who looked after me in Singapore. It was great adventure . I am also doing the same again in 39 days! Cant wait.
  15. Sorry to hear about the accident man! Good to hear your surgery went well. Get well soon.
  16. Apparently the scientists are trying to find out something about protons, if they are successful they will be able to take the matter out of anything (making it weightless). Sounds fun but I dunno if it will actually work.
  17. ^ Yeah, they reckon that if it does form a black hole it would take at least 2 weeks to start causing major effect. Jordan.
  18. Wow, I wasn't expecting such a rapid response! Just to let you know I dont actually think this will end the world lol there is just a minute possibility. My mistake they are not "turning on" the black hole lol they are trying to reenact the big bang. If I am correct. Also it will take place tomorrow (Wednesday the 10Th) not the 17Th. Jordan.
  19. As I am guessing, most of you know that on Wednesday the 10th of September scientist in Switzerland are attempting to "re-create" the big bang, which has sparked up a lot of controversial issues whether it will end the world! I will let the pros do the talking: Here is the link: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,214541,00.html
  20. I am 15 and I have a job, believe it or not I put things on a website. I get £5 an hour which is about $9.50 an hour. I got offered a job because I did my work experience with them (the company), you will probably get the chance to do work experience soon, so you may be in luck. Good luck with finding a job.
  21. Nice layout, you can change the cars so they don't spin on the lift hill. Simply double click the lift hill segment and select "lock spinning" or something like that. Also I would recommend using just one car per train, it makes the ride a bit more personal and enjoyable. That's just my opinion.
  22. I have to do a controversial issue for my World Issue's course work, so being a coaster fanatic I chose this topic. My teacher said that I am not aloud to do this as its not controversial enough. I may just have to show her this thread . Back on topic. I get nervous on some coasters, not because I think there unsafe; just because, well I don't know really. LOL. After all you more likely to get injured driving to a theme park than when your actually there.
  23. Stealth at Thorpe Park, 1 and a half hours. The line seemed to go slower because I was so nervous (first launched coaster ).
  24. Firstly, I would like to say, it looks amazing so far! I would never have come up with the idea. Secondly I just thought I would post you this image I slightly modified (terribly). I hope this can help you: The black lines are hydrolics and (or) fold down peices of steel to reduce stress on other parts of the ride.
