I think we should burn it down in some form of ritualistic devil worship ceremony because its pretty obvious thats where the ride came from based on my experience. As for what will replace it I'm really not fussed right now the park are constructing one bad ass looking coaster that I think could steal the show on all other coasters opening this year.

^I wonder if a check is in the mail as I was obviously a portcullis design consultant there and should be paid.

I can't be the only one who secretly hopes that one day during one ride the whole video starts as the ride dispatches then this comes up.

Today Alton Towers have released a preview video of Galactica VR. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] Even watching this small clip my first thought was how horrible it will be if this is even slightly out of sync.

Wow thats a bigger chunk of land than I was expecting. Im sure the park will do a great job on this as the usually do and maybe this when completed may get me back out to the park.

The park have yet again done a phenomenal job on their theming. So much focus on the theming right now almost makes me forget about the giant roller coaster this is all for.

I am loving this! It looks amazing at night. Who wants to pay for me to fly out to come ride this when it opens? I actually think this is my favourite new attraction being built right now.

Today it has been announced that after being placed into administration in August of 2014 the park has been sold to the Mellors group. Source After all the hard work put in by the team at Fantasy Island since the administration was announced this is fantastic news! Hopefully we will see continued investment now to follow on from the work done on Odyssey this year as well as all the touch ups around the park. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]

Id watch that episode of Sesame Street! That music does sound like they want people to be raving in the queue line. Reminds me somewhat of the atmosphere the Helix music made in the queue line.

One of these things is not like the other! I look forward to hearing reviews of this ride when it opens. Given the smile on that gentleman's face though it seems like we may have a winner on our hands.

They look fantastic! Especially love the air display scene on the Sky Fly sign.

I can't be easy doing all this work in the snow so fair play to the construction team for freezing their balls/boobs off to get the ride done. As it stands right now I hear by name this ride "Concrete: The Ride"

It wasn't a bad little coaster. If its still in good condition it would be a great buy for a small park somewhere.

I love the stone work but I don't understand why the portcullis is so tiny and doesn't cover the whole width the opening. If that was a real castle invaders would easily be able to get past it when it was lowered.

With the lift being enclosed I wonder if they will install some cool effects inside such a smoke machines, explosions or lasers guided death sharks.

While I'm not a fan of Disko's I do like the theming on this one. Especially the covered queue line.

No its not its just all the blood, sweat and tears that Merlin have drained out of their staff over the years On another note I'm SO glad they are rusting up the ride. I hope it looks good and not just random paint chucked over the ride but we shall see. I still dont understand why they haven't repainted Air as part of Galactica. I remember when Air opened and that blue looked so good, I would love to see it look like that again.

Its like the same they did with Cheetah Hunt's tower section. Its great to see a parks willing to spend extra money just to make stuff look cool!

Im sure that has a lot to do with both the lighting at the time the photo was taken and how far along they are with that section.

To be fair Chiapas is a more complicated ride with all its turntables and super fast switches. Not to say these are not complicated but I imagine especially with the boomerang it will be a lot easier to test/commission the rides as they have done many of the same ride before.

I really don't like Nemesis looking like that. Don't get my wrong it is a very good quality paint job by the looks of it but its too much. Im sure if/when they apply the rust look my opinion may change. Personally I don't think the track was the issues, the station by far was the issue and it looks like it hasn't been touched yet. I hope we see that soon.

That is not a situation where you would want one of your legs to slip sideways!
