Disneyland on Friday since I'm in town for WCB!

Even though I already knew this, your post still made me very happy!

There are 2 Sports Bars nearby. At bottom of the hill make a right and then make left at 1st light and next to El Torito is a new place called Beef O Bradys it opened 2 months ago and hasn't caught on yet so it wont be crowded at all there. Another locals favorite is Big Wangs Make a right at bottom of the hill then go right on the old road to the 2nd light on left side is shopping center and Big Wangs is located in shopping center. It will be busy and loud. And next door to it is a cookie place called Lady Di's so save room for a cookie. Or just go to Bev Mo next door and get hammered. We only live 3 miles from SFMM and Sat is our wedding anniversary so I wont be at SFMM on that day. I was offering our extra room at our house for a TPR-er to crash at on Friday to someone from out of town but so many issue from other party just were not working out so i tabled that idea. We just live off McBean behind the Alamo (Robb would know where that is) who knows maybe tomorrow I will change my mind again. Have a great Saturday and travel safe all. Thanks! I've actually watched games at Beef O Brady's while vacationing in Florida, so I might go there.

It kind of bums me out to see someone post this. It's not like we can control what happens with rides at parks and I really think we do as much as possible to still show people a great time even when it happens. Please don't blame TPR when a park has an issue with a coaster. Sorry, that wasn't the intent at all. I know it's not anyone's fault. I was just trying to make a joke about the bad luck that we've had, but it definitely didn't diminish the fun I had on the Texas/Midwest tour.

Except that the Windseekers have a 52" height restriction so it's not really a "Family Ride." I had no idea that they were 52". That's insane!

This X2 talk is making me sad. Hopefully it's open since it was closed when I was last there in 2001. Thad + TPR + 2013 = Closed rides No worries, though. It will still be an awesome weekend.

This thing looks incredible. So now I'm 6 hours from Outlaw Run and 5 1/2 hours from Goliath. I can't wait for next year.

I wonder how many people were injured at the City Museum. Off the top of my head: Me: Banged my knee into the metal going above the 10 story slide. Got progressively worse each day after that. Hi everyone. Thought I'd join in on the college football talk this season. I'm a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan, but since they're going to be terrible again this season it might be interesting to discuss football with other fans around the country. I rode it for the first time 2 weeks ago and loved it. The two people I was with ranked it above El Toro (I'm not willing to do that). It almost seems like it depends on the day you're there. I hate rough rides, and didn't consider it rough at all.

I think I'm lucky when it comes to SLC's. My torso is long, so my head sits higher than the harness. I rarely have any headbanging. I didn't even have a problem with the one at Magic Springs. Of course, I'd trade the headbanging on an SLC if it meant that my shins didn't get destroyed on Outlaw Run! Another great report! I'm glad we were able to stop by Magic Springs, it was a nice little park. X Coaster was pretty crazy as well!

Agreed. Stupid dragon. He soaked our entire boat. Although, there were a couple people in the front row that got a little bit more wet than the rest of us. Can't remember who they were...

Nope. I was bringing up the rear of our group. The log jam was basically THE ENTIRE FREAKING RIDE! Slowest moving ride I've ever been on.

I've only been on X-Flight and Gatekeeper, but I preferred X-Flight by quite a bit. I tried Gatekeeper 2 times, but it was really rough to the point where I couldn't enjoy it.

Same! That's why as soon as I saw him I wanted my picture! Hopefully they'll make walk around characters of them someday! If they make walk around characters I'll definitely be going soon! "Hey, Surly only looks out for one guy... Surly!"

That area looks amazing. Glad to see that they gave some love to the Seven Duffs with those fantastic topiaries!Surly is one of my favorite minor characters.
