  1. From what I've seen it's the pathetic 5 minute dispatch times combined with the likelihood that it will be running one train for whatever reason.
  2. This is incredible. I can't wait to see the layout and the final project. Wow!!!
  3. I was planning on skipping it if the line was too long - and I'm SO glad I didn't. I knew it was a spinning mouse in a box. But it was one of the most fun rides I've had in a long time. We spun like crazy, and with the pitch black/flashing lights...it was utterly insane. I'd compare it to Space Mountain - you feel like you're going a lot faster than you actually are. But the drops caught me off gaurd and our whole group was laughing hystarically. Can't wait to visit again! Also, their Intamin frisbee can not get enough praise. I was upset to find out they took out a 2nd gen drop tower for it - but not after riding. The 3 minute long cycle was insane. Airtime was superb, and the location is perfect on the side of the hill. One of the best flats I've ever been on.
  4. I'll throw money to the first photographer who catches someone mid-puke haha.
  5. I guess so. I didn't bother to check after it had been 2-2.5 hrs wait ror most of the day. I got a couple rides on Viper, Am Eagle, Demon, Giant Drop.
  6. FYI to get your SF Pass, you get it as you go throughout the turnstiles like you're regularly entering any other park. Shockingly efficient! They scan your finger print and give you a card all in 30 seconds.
  7. Goliath running one train. Poorly. Blue side Am Eagle down.
  8. Good for them - and it's a unique coaster for what it is. But honestly, couldn't they have built the same layout as an apline coaster? I bet the ride experience would be almost the same and they'd save a lot of money. Maybe they got a sweet deal for the deisgner's first coaster.
  9. I'd join you at SFGAm. There are a good amount of members in the area.
  10. Got my season pass! Excited to check out my new home park this weekend. I'm sure it'll be crazy packed, but I'm only wanting to check out Goliath - I only got to ride once last year, in the front seat. I liked it but didn't love it, I'm thinking the back seat will change my opinion..
  11. Yeah? I think I could see a Mack coaster. We'll see!
  12. Good news. Fierce? Not sure what the theme will be. I'm sure they'll do it right and get a lot of extra guests through the gates. Can't wait for more details.
  13. Because I'm positive a majority of coaster enthusiasts care more about Voyage than Thunderbird on any given day. I am anxious to hear more reviews from those who rode Thunderbird, though.
  14. Basically losing the airtime in the triple down and the airtime moments after that probably won't be as powerful. The ride is still going to pick up a ton of speed by the time it gets all the way down to the station. The way I look at it, they have to do what have to do to make the track work last. Which is a bummer they have to alter the ride from the way it was originally operating. They have had such bad luck with trying to keep the damage to the track at a minimum..
  15. Seriously?! Not that I'm going to make it to HW this year or the near future but that's a major bummer. One of the main reasons the ride is one of my top favorites is because it doesn't let up the whole ride - especially after that MCBR. Very disappointed. My favorite airtime hill was the one coming out of the tripple down. Glad I got to ride it a bunch last year...
  16. Just ask for the row you want. I never had any problems. The front is amazing and row 4 strangely unique. No push or pull.. very fluid.
  17. I sure hope that operations improve on diamondback. Yea, she told me that she ran into you. Wish I had the chance to meet you. The operations on Diamondback was dismal every visit last season. Lethargic crew, not excited on the mic, and stacking. If they would tell people to keep their shoes/sandals on and give their bags to the ops, they would improve. The main problem is guests go over and put their bags away in the wrong bins, pull down the restraint, kick their shoes off... Then they have to upbar to get the shoes back on, etc. It's just a wreck.
  18. I can't believe a stupid comment is really bringing in so many replies and comments. I'm on board that it's for the red coaster at the Movie Park in China. I think it's funny that people are pointing to Kings Island simply because the steel factory is within 45 minutes of the park. I don't see Kings Island getting a coaster for a while - and I hope they don't. A lot of other things need to be addressed. Please, send the wingriders overseas!
  19. Excellent photos, I haven't checked in on this thread for a month...lots of great progress here! Can't wait until the reviews start coming out this summer.
  20. Of my many years of visiting Kings Island taking picture with my Nikon and phone, no one has ever told me not to take pictures in the station. I've even taken pictures of friends/had someone take pictures of me sitting in the cars before the employee comes around to lock restraints/dispatches the car. It's the same as taking pictures anywhere in the park
  21. Supporting this campaign. And agreed with Robb on not affecting other people's visit to the park. Or if I am it's in a positive way like giving a direction, suggestion, or taking a photo for someone. It's cool enough Disney lets you take pictures on the ride but this has gone way too far.
  22. Thanks for the photos. The Gold Coast is so pretty...
  23. Posted on October 11th 2014 Did anyone else notice this at the end of last year? I feel like it's a pretty big topic but no one really commented on it. Bringing it up again because I saw people talking about Banshee with a trim in the Fury 325 thread.
  24. I miss Australia. Can't believe it's been 6 years.
  25. Woah Kelly Clarkson is huge! Is that really her?
