I Wanna F*** a Dog in the A** -- Blink-182 I think they just improved this song as they were recording it, you can totally hear them laughing throughout.

You know, I think I would like Civilization IV more if there were actual missions. I know that kind of breaks the open-ended feel of the game, but the tutorial just doesn't teach a newbie enough to truly know how to play the game decently. As it is, gamers just have to use trial and miserable error just to pick up the basics.

If you have 10 minutes to spare, aren't at work and don't mind a bit of blood and cussin', this one's a winner.

^ I'M GONNA TIE YOU TO THE RADIATOR AND GRAPE YOU IN THE MOUTH! Anyway: I just had a 3-hour-long conversation with a really awesome person in Canada. In the end we exchanged Steam and Xbox Live accounts, hopefully we'll stay in contact. We talked about everything, from gaming to school, from politics (alright, A LOT was about politics) to vegetables, from old men on TV talking about sexual pleasure to relationships... That was a great conversation. -
Escapistmagazine.com, a gaming website, says: "Even if images of a Blizzard-themed Amusement park are fake, they're still pretty cool. Instead of blasting through Space Mountain with Mickey Mouse at Disney World, imagine if you could sit next to Kerrigan while zooming around Starcraft: The Ride, or hang out with Thrall on the tea cups of Orgrimmar. This is evidently the basic idea behind some of the areas in China's upcoming Joyland Theme Park. French gaming site GameBlog is reporting that Joyland, supposedly opening in March 2011, will feature areas such as the "Terrain of Warcraft" and the "Universe of Starcraft." Concept images show structures that look like Silvermoon City from World of Warcraft and those built by the Protoss. Joyland isn't entirely Blizzard-themed, with other areas that include "Moles World" and the "World of Legend." It'll also have a videogame museum and an area where park-goers can battle against each other in e-sports, presumably meaning Starcraft. The appearances of Blizzard's properties in Joyland is a big surprise, raising questions if they're legal, were approved, or are even real. The Joyland website seems genuine enough, but a Starcraft and Warcraft theme park seems too awesome to be in this plane of reality. Perhaps more information, and pictures, will come out after Joyland's grand opening. Source: GameBlog, via G4TV" I'd think that if this were true, people would have at least known about it, you know, prior to a month before it's set to open. What do you guys think about this?

Souls of Black (Re-Recording) - Testament I'm kinda obsessed with this song right now. Such excellent black metal.

So I'm about to try out League of Legends. Are there any players on this site, and if so, is there anything I should know ahead of time?

Man, I'm getting into Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. It's been around two years since I played the original, but I remember how amazingly charming and fun that game was, and the sequel builds on that legacy. Sure, a couple of the puzzles have some left-field solutions that you need to use all your hint coins just to figure out in a massive "D'OH!" moment, but the story and style more than make up for it. The animated cutscenes are like nothing else on the DS, and the charming environments, entertaining characters and peculiar situations all work wonders to suck you in. I'm loving it.

Aquarium. There's something fascinatingly beautiful and mysterious about undersea life that I just adore. Would you rather be stuck in a hollow, empty vending machine until someone inputs a specific code that nobody knows, or have Kidz Bop streamed directly into your brain for a week straight, no breaks?

So I caught Davis Musical Theatre Company's performance of Chess: The Musical this last weekend. Man, was that an interesting show. The music was top-notch, seeing as it was written by Tim Rice and two members of ABBA, although the music was a little loud for the non-amplified singers. The show was very interesting to look at, as well, with a constant black/white contrast in the set (designed to look like a big chessboard), costumes (Russians wore black, Americans wore white, neutrals wore gray), and lighting (Sometimes the white parts of the chessboard would turn deep red, creating a beautifully sinister mood). Although the second act was much slower than the first, and as such was a bit more difficult to understand, it was a very enjoyable show. I would definitely consider seeing it again, if only it weren't $18 and hadn't finished its run yesterday.

Six months. As of yesterday, it has been six months since my long-distance girlfriend and I had our first date. I still hold that night as one of the most awe-inspiring of my life, everything about it was perfect. Too bad my parents still don't know about her. I know they're gonna find out eventually, and I understand that it'll be a lot easier for me to tell them, but I just don't know how. They're against long-distance relationships, they think they never work, but this one is working.

Slam - Pendulum That's it. I'm going to buy their Hold Your Colour album. Every single song on it is brilliant.

Mass Effect 2's final mission... Woah. I'm not even done with it yet. Too bad I know I'm gonna have to repeat it to get the results I want (who, if anyone, on my crew is sacrificed). Stupid game, not telling me that specific characters have to be picked for each part of the mission, or else whoever you picked will die...

So my school is doing Hairspray this Spring, with the first cast readthrough on Monday. I'm pretty pumped for it, since I'm on props crew, and the casting is absolutely perfect for every character. Except Tracy's dad. Ugh, I hate Kyle.

You get a copy of Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, signed by the director and Uwe Boll. *inserts dusty old copy of Starcraft that I never play anymore*

I caught The Green Hornet in 3D this evening, and it's safe to say that it's exactly what the trailers make it out to be. It's a dumb, immature, explosion-packed action movie with a sorta weak story, but man, oh man, was it a fun ride. Don't listen to the critics that are saying "it could have been the next Iron Man", no, it couldn't have been. It was supposed to be a dumb movie from the start, and it succeeded. Yeah, it had its flaws, like Cameron Diaz being a completely unnecessary addition and the main character being an unlikeable douchebag, but the action scenes and general bada$$ery made up for it. Don't bother with the 3D, though. Not worth the extra money. Overall, it was worth seeing, for sure. I was smiling through the entire film, and had a blast watching it. Just don't set your expectations too high, especially with all these stellar comic book movies coming out.

Alright, uh, I decided that I'm gonna get Halo: Reach. That'll only be about $10 plus my $35 gift card to GameStop, if I can find it used. Also, I feel like I should have worded my question a little better. I don't mind thinking about strategy and stuff when playing online, I can enjoy something like Team Fortress 2 or Left 4 Dead with no problems. It's just sometimes I get a bit sick of playing Mass Effect 2 and DJ Hero 2 for so many hours, I just want an online shooter that's a load of fun. Yeah, my wording was crap. Sorry for the confusion.

TV Tropes Say goodbye to the rest of your free time for the rest of your life. That is the single most addictive site I have ever visited. So... many... objects of interest... must click... ALSO, my goodness, my posting style has changed in the past 4-5 years. Just look at the post on page one from an 11 year old version of me.

So I need to make a decision for my next gaming purchase, and would like some input from the community here: I understand that they're completely different games, and really shouldn't be compared, but which should I buy: Halo Reach, or Gears of War Trilogy (containing Gears 1+2 with 2's expansion, the package will be out in a couple months, I believe)? I'm just looking for a shooter that I really don't need to think about to enjoy. I don't care about story, I don't care about graphics, I don't care about deep meaning, all I want is some dumb fun online and off. So can anybody help me decide?
