  1. I'm considering breaking out my inner dork and starting a thread about tabletop gaming. You know, stuff like Dungeons & Dragons, Heroscape (which I am in love with right now), HeroClix, etc. Are there enough members here that are into that stuff to make a thread worth it?
  2. I need to remember this for Halloween, this is easily one of the most unnerving tracks I've ever heard.
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zC9A3Bu3FCQ Holy crap.
  4. Ah, there's nothing like a three hour nap to refresh you before studying for the geometry/algebra II standardized test I have tomorrow.
  5. I think Exodus in Halo: Reach might just qualify for being one of the greatest levels in a video game I've ever played. It was beautiful, challenging, expertly paced... and simply fun. Hell, that goes for the entirety of Halo: Reach, at least from what I've played so far. I'm absolutely loving it.
  6. Kill Everybody -- Skrillex Yup, I'm still on my dubstep/punk binge.
  7. Well, that ruined my day. I just found out that my long-distance girlfriend, which I still have yet to tell my parents about (shut up, I'll get to it once I find a chance), is not going to Hume Lake this year. Hume is where we met in July/August of last year, and would be the easiest/only chance for me to see her this year at all. Damn. But hey, she'll be 18 soon, so she'll be able to come up here independently.
  8. What the heck, I might as well try out the Crysis 1 demo, just to see if this computer is up to it. Update: Just... wow. That was amazing. If I can buy that game in the future, I will, by all means. Maybe I played it differently than a lot of other people (I was more stealthy than anything else), but I seriously enjoyed it.
  9. I know there are a lot of Nintendo fans on this forum, so I know you guys will appreciate this. Review of never-before-seen Super Mario Bros. film! EDIT: Since I don't feel like double-posting, I'll just add more onto this post. I'm considering buying The Potato Sack on Steam, which is a collection of 13 highly rated indie games such as Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Killing Floor, Super Meat Boy, and more. It's just under $40, which is more than I've ever spent at once on Steam, but it's just a deal that I can't refuse.
  10. I got a 92 on a trigonometry test that I expected to bomb!
  11. Well, I'm sixteen years old today. Too bad this week is gonna be one of the busiest theatre weeks I've ever experienced, EVER. As in I have to greet every day for the children's show third period, meaning I'm gonna try to get out of trig five minutes early so I can change into my costume and be ready when the kids come, as well as having to perform the children's show every single day, along with the spring musical Hairspray opening next Friday, us being nowhere ready with a TON of props that are still being tracked down because I'm on props crew, and Saturday is going to be Tech Saturday, so I have to spend nine hours at school working. GAH.
  12. ^ Spring Break doesn't even start until April 16th for me.
  13. Okay, guys, I need some advice. I need to tell my parents about my girlfriend, who I have mentioned several times on this thread. She's about two years older than me, lives about 250-300 miles away, and I haven't seen her since July and won't see her again until next July, but our relationship as held strong for that length of time. The thing is, my parents are against long-distance relationships, and if I want to stay with her, they need to know within the next two months. Do you guys have any advice, pointers, or anything that will help make this easier?
  14. ^ Oh heck yeah, SuperJail! is easily my favorite show on Adult Swim.
  15. Just you wait, it'll get on your nerves soon enough. But enjoy Spec Ops as much as you want, that was brilliant.
  16. Would You Be Impressed? - Streetlight Manifesto I just discovered these guys approximately five minutes ago, and I'm already in love.
  17. I'm not usually a fan of web comics, but this one spoke to me.
  18. Man, looks like Sucker Punch is getting torn apart by critics... Oh well, that doesn't change the fact that I think it looks awesome, and I will not miss it. Especially after watching Movie Bob's review.
  19. Who would have thought it's so difficult to find a website where I can order about 30 tin cups with handles? I mean, I can find plenty of promotion sites that sell them, but at a minimum quantity of about 300. Which is ten times the amount that I need. And even then, the price is about $8 each. Crap.
  20. ^ I added ya. I honestly haven't been playing much TF2 lately, I should really get back into it. Speaking of VALVe games, I've decided to sell my Xbox 360 copy of The Orange Box to my friend tomorrow, for $10. See, I already own three of the five games on PC as well (minus the HL2 episodes, which I plan on buying), so I really have no use for what I consider an inferior version of the game.
  21. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKLpJtvzlEI It's quite simply one of the greatest songs I've ever heard.
  22. dg;asdgasdgtasdhgyasdsaud, why didn't I start my homework earlier? I went on a school trip to Ashland, Oregon for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and missed three days of school (Wednesday to Friday), and stupidly decided to save all my homework for now. That means I have two or three trig assignments, a chemistry project that I just found out about, and a summary of my trip for PE. Looks like I'm gonna be up till three in the morning. UPDATE: I ended up finishing right on time, at 3:00 AM. Yay?
  23. So I finally got my Avenged Sevenfold - City of Evil LP working last night on my dad's turntable. It took a little bit of tweaking to the device itself in order to get the rotation speed right, but it turned out amazing. It's such a great album.
  24. Blueprint to a Lie - From Jupiter I would post a video with the song in it, but they're a reeeeeeeally little known band, and the only Youtube videos of them are live performances that honestly don't sound anywhere near as polished as the recorded version.
  25. So today I totally picked up City of Evil, Avenged Sevenfold's third album, on vinyl. I found it for $19 in a record store in Ashland, Oregon, and just couldn't turn it down. And the records themselves are amazing looking, they're kind of a splattered purple color with black and white paint blots. Now, if only there wasn't that image of a naked girl (basically THE image that goes with "Beast and the Harlot") on the inside of the cover, where the lyrics are...
