  1. So does this mean they are changing the layout slightly or just changing some pieces of bad track?
  2. Robb- Yes it is! One of my all time favorite movies.
  3. Thanks for the link and the info everyone! I'm kind of bummed that it's never been open when I've been there - it looks sort of cool. Ok, mystery solved!
  4. Ok, so I've been to SF Great Adventure a number of times and every time I've gone Houdini's Great Escape has been closed. The description on the Six Flags website is sort of vague. What exactly is this ride/attraction? Is it worth making time for?
  5. Hahaha, their boobs totally got airtime!!
  6. Thanks! Anyone else have any info as well? Also, does anyone know if there is a way to create a scenario with an unlimited amount of land to use? I like playing in "Sandbox" mode because I like doing parks from scratch, but I always run out of room.
  7. I've been reading a lot of RCT3 posts on here and a lot of you seem to have scenery and stuff that I've never seen available in my game (like the circus/clown themeing, and the netting you can put on the coasters). Can you get this extra stuff by downloading it off a website? A lot of the videos I've watched of people's custom parks and rides bum me out because I'm like "Hey! I don't have that on mine!!" Are there different versions of the game? I have RCT3 and Soaked! - is there anything else?
  8. I wouldn't call it a "cat problem" - if anything that makes the park better!! Just a little extra cute scenery. Of course, I'm a girl so seeing a bunch of random cats would make me excited.
  9. Honestly, the "slap" is so awkward that to me it looked like an accident. It looked like Tigger was turning to get the kid to pose with him but totally didn't realize the kid was jumping towards him at the same time. Just looks like they bumped into each other. The family making this claim are ridiculous and it makes me sick that they are this needy for attention. And, if the kid was being a jerk he deserved it
  10. I didn't think Son of Beast was rough at all, but then again, I rode it right after it opened and haven't been on it since. For me, Gwazi (both sides) was awful - although Lion was slightly better than Tiger if I remember. So rough I didn't even have any fun on the stupid thing. They should just scrap it. Revolution & Viper at SFMM were some of the most brutal steel coasters I've ever been on.
  11. Ok, I think what is confusing people is the actual term "pumping" - even if that is the official term. Most people here probably have felt this on a coaster before. I'm pretty sure I know what pumping is, and (to me) it's more like a chugging sensation. It's hard to describe, but when you're on a coaster that does it, it's pretty obvious. I would more closely relate it to chugging becuase it feels almost like a push-pull effect as the train goes through the awkward piece of track. Am I wrong here?
  12. Oh man, I wanted to rollback on TTD so bad (cause you pretty much get 1 and a 1/2 rides out of it)!! The train right before us did, but of course, we went right over without a hitch...
  13. This may sound silly, but when Big Bad Wolf at BGE first opened my fam and I made the trek down to VA to go ride it, and after the 2nd drop when the cars are flying side to side at high speeds before you hit the station (I was a young kid at the time), I remember thinking "We are going way to fast and swinging way too far out, something is wrong." I got really scared and sort of freaked. Granted, I had never been on a suspended coaster like that so I didn't know that's what it's supposed to do to you. I got over it and went on it a bunch more times... I love that ride. I have heard of this happening to friends of mine on other coasters (like the Hulk) where their restraint has come undone after the train leaves the station. This really freaks me out. Don't the ride ops know that all the harnesses aren't locked? How is this able to happen?
  14. These pictures are awesome!! It's been years since I've been to Busch Gardens Europe... the last time I went Drachen Fire was still open. I want to ride those coasters so bad!! Alpengeist looks so awesome!
  15. I didn't think Insanity was the scariest ride up there, it was really cool and I love heights so I liked swinging around enjoying the view, but I actually found it sort of relaxing and not really over-the-top thrilling. X-Scream is a blast... always makes you feel like you're going over. I have perma-grin every time on that thing. You can't not sit there and giggle the whole time. For me, Big Shot is the scariest thing up there. I have NO problem free-falling, but going up fast feels wrong to me (ex. I love the free-fall sides of Power Tower at CP, but the sides that blast you up make me scream like a little kid). So being that high up and being shot up even higher at what seems like lightning speed, yeah.. that really freaks me out, but I love every second of it!
  16. Mine was either Dragon Mountain at Marineland or the white corkscrew coaster at Rocky Point Park in Rhode Island (park is now closed).
  17. West coast = tie between Psyclone and Revolution at Magic Mountain. My home park is SFNE (SUCKS), and all those coasters (with the exception of Superman) are pretty god awful. I won't even go there. I make the drive to Great Adventure.
  18. Oh man, I second you on Titan!! Things started to get blurry for me at the point on the helix. Titan was the only coaster that ever pushed me to almost black-out. I've been on Goliath at SFMM too but it didn't have the same effect.
  19. I've ridden Kinda Kucky, and those restraints for me (I have a long back), were not comfortable at all. but they are much better than the old restraints on Corkscrew and Draggin Itron!! I guess those restraints have always seemed ridiculous to me... that's the only part of Maverick I'm not looking forward to.
  20. I think that they are just plastic strips, with the lap section probably being made out of whatever Intamin lapbar restraints are. BOOOOOOOO. That's no fun.
  21. Those shoulder restraints don't look so comfy. I haven't been on Kingda Ka or any Intamin's with those restraints (and it seems most of you dislike them as well), but I'm just wondering, are they only hard plastic or is there padding on them?
