^Well said. Hearing about all the parks getting a new coaster for next year, I was getting really frustrated. But then again, it's not like GA's getting nothing for 2008. Besides, the new ride is probably going to be a huge hit with the public. At least Survivor was. Perhaps if they come up with a good theme for it, that would make the crowds (and me) happy. Besides, Top Spins are usually great crowd-pleasers anyway.

^Dang it! I agree. The general public are so naive. I haven't been on many roller coasters (my count is less than 30) but I have enough common sense to know that Vortex is a painful roller coaster! Same thing goes for Grizzly, I only ride that when I'm ultra bored and the other rides have long lines. With Vortex, I can' t even ride that anymore because it hurts my ears so much.

The thing I like about 5 is this: the Cobalt flavor is like a stronger version of Winterfresh, which was my favorite mint gum. Now my favorite is Cobalt 5 because the flavor lasts longer. I'm chewing a piece of it right now as I type this. My favorite "fruit" gum would have to be the original Hubba Bubba Max, which is green on the outside and red on the inside. When you chew it the color becomes brown but it still tastes great. Wow, I'm so used to English class that I'm in depthly discussing why I like a certain flavor of gum. I'm such a nerd. (Insert nerd Emoticon here)

I just tried the new 5. It's great!

RIP, Masked_Maverick, Daniel T.Miller

Yes, this is still a sad occasion. Dan will be missed. Every time I read through old threads and I see his posts, I'm reminded that he won't post again. Still, I hope he is looking down on us from the big Maverick in the sky, where he gets eternal ERT. -
^NO! Don't take out Demon, that's one of the Marriott classics! That's like taking Matterhorn out of Disneyland. As for Grizzly: tear that crap down! What REALLY confuses me about the Paramount era is why they took down Tidal Wave (Greezed Lightnin') and Stealth, which were two excellent coasters, yet they left Grizzly here to rot (almost literally).

The "Post your favorite Simpson Quotes" Game
Sunfire replied to alpengeistdude321's topic in Random, Random, Random
Since this is a coaster site, I can't believe anyone has posted this. The episode where they go to Florida for Miss Krabbappel's teacher of the year nomination. -The sign that said "Epcot: when everything else is booked." -Skinnner: "I'm afraid the only ride for me is the ride of broken dreams." Homer: "Oh you mean the Enron ride!" -Homer (to Marge while watching Illuminations): "How about we make some fireworks of our own?" He says it suggestively, then they start filling fireworks with gunpowder. Lol! -Homer (escapes to Magic Kingdom): "One churro please!" Vender: "That'll be 14 dollars." Homer: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Here." I love that episode. It's so funny! -
^What the heck does that mean? Oh well, here's mine: tgolp;'gkuij8knm.

What's your favorite Flat ride?
Sunfire replied to FlyingScooter's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I can't decide what my favorite flat is. There are so many and I love them all. But I can say what the scariest is for me. Tonight, at the local carnival, I popped my Zipper cherry with my dad. While we were looking at the ride, we noticed that not a lot of people were flipping. So we get on, and the ride starts. Almost immediately we did four flips in a row! I was expecting to not flip that much, and I think we flipped about fifteen times! It doesn't look that intense, but when I was on it it was very scary! There was a sign at the entrance that said "This is a Super thrill ride designed for mature and experienced riders only." They were not lying. -
I think Angry Gumball is right. Great America has so much potential to become a great park. Referring to his drawing, I would be REALLY happy if the park got an Intamin Rocket Coaster. That would be the perfect spot to put it, as it would involve the removal of the Vortex roller coaster, which I hate. TAKE VORTEX OUT!
