  1. Ive posted a few coasters on here now, and now its your turn to pitch any idea you can think of (no matter how retarded)! Please give your ideas as follows: 1. Wood or steel? 2. Type (launched, lift hill, etc)? 3. Inversions? 4. Key elements (trick track, ejector hills etc)? 5. Manufacturer? Thanks in advance!
  2. I dunno whats next! i need some ideas! and perhaps a new topic.....
  3. I just figured out the average speed: 41.6mph.... WOAH i had no idea it would turn out this fast, it just sorta did Does it ride like a gravity group coaster (like Voyage) would?
  4. Its a good idea to read the other Red Flash topic below first..... But anyway Here is the re-incarnated Red Flash! Based on an idea by some ACE dood, its basically a family-ish/small woodie for any small park i imagine. NOTE: 5 cars per train is an option, but personally i think it runs better with 7 cars. Red Flash.nltrack Download, comment, etc!
  5. Shame you had to abandon it, do you mind if i have a crack at it?
  6. You ideally need to have seen the movie (Blair Witch Project) to get the idea of this coaster..... but either way, its still an OK ride. Download, comment, rate, etc! NOTE: use the Canyonrunner environment, or you will get a face full of trees! Escape From The Blair Witch.nltrack Yaaaaaaaay! Enjoy! Escape From The Blair Witch-080610114803003.bmp There is track in there, honest! 7. No i dont have proof, but judging from the radius of the tower on HyperSonic (which is about the same as mine, maybe a little smaller) and how fast the train goes over it, thats how i figured it out. Sure, it probably isnt exact, but IMO anything more than -1g is a bit pointless anyway, in the same way that anything over 6g is a little pointless too.... well maybe not in the same way but you get the idea
  8. On the View tool bar (just next to save/load etc) the views go Birds-Eye View, Front View, Back View, Left View, Right View, and 3d. Any help?
  9. I didnt aim that high because Thrust Air coasters only reach -0.8 or -1g at the most. It feels more extreme than it really is. But there is still some kick ass airtime on it, more than alot of intamin coasters!
  10. The trains go slowly at the top of the tower partly because thats the way S&S design their Thrust Air coasters, and partly to eliminate dangerously high negative Gs in the back seat, going down the other side of the tower. I did use the smoother on the curves, but made it so the train jiggles a little going round them, to emulate the bouncing of the rubber tires that this type of coaster uses. This is also why coasters like HyperSonic XLC are rough, because of the flex in the tires. Anyway, thanks for commenting!
  11. Acceleration: 0-70mph in 1.7 seconds Capacity: 1200 riders per hour (based on 8 seater S&S trains) Height: 174ft 6ins Speed: 70mph Length: 2066ft 2ins S&S just opened a can of whoop-ass! Woooooooo! My latest coaster, took me goddamn forever to build those towers lol enjoy! The 3Ds was made by someone, dont remember who though. S&S Thrust Air 2000-080524112857000.bmp Everything! S&S Thrust Air 2000-080524112959001.bmp Towers! S&S Thrust Air 2000-080524113107002.bmp Airtime! S&S Thrust Air 2000.nltrack Slight pump in last turn (after brakes) fixed! AND PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU FEEL LIKE IT!!!
  12. Thats an old Arrow trick i threw in there: to completely miscalculate the forces of one part, then put in a horrible block brake to slow it almost to a stop, making the rest of the ride still brutally uncomfortable but achingly slow too Thanks for your comment!
  13. Well, after 4 years in the drink, arrow has sprung back to life! And what better way to celebrate than by building a big ass coaster? Crap transitions to the max! Dont be too critical of the terraforming, i only spent about 15 mins on it lol enjoy! STATS: Capacity: 2200 riders per hour Height: 108ft Length: 4450ft Speed: 51mph Inversions: 10 Elements: 4 Loops, Batwing, Triple Corkscrew, Cutback Trains; 3, with 7 cars each. Arrow Comeback_Landslide.nltrack Download, Comment, Etc!
  14. Im gay, and most likely in the same bloodline as Big Foot lol hence my name... i love being a big ba$tard
  15. Im so in! And just so everyone is clear, chain lifts CAN go round corners. For example, BMRX. Just so i dont get torn to pieces for my design lol
  16. My track should be up within the next week or so, ive been away so i havent had chance to finish supports yet. But i think you may like it
  17. Sorry for the delay, im away at the moment and i cant access any of my tracks. Ill post one on sunday night if you havent started without me
  18. OK im going to post a track soon, but dont expect much support-wise, i work best at design and smoothing
  19. OMFG im finished with mine, just supports to do. heres some stats to tide you over: Duration: 1:22 Height: 147ft Speed: 57mph Length: 2127.78ft Capacity: 1400 riders per hour Inversions: 70ft Immelmann, followed by a 76ft loop (all will become clear when its finished and posted) Features: 1 main launch of 43 mph, then an additional 2 boosts of 50mph and 57mph, plus one small LIM section to keep the reverse trip as pacy as the forwards trip. Trains: 2 with 6 cars (uses a sliding station track like Mr Freeze), totaling 24 riders per train. Overview of the layout
  20. And do tracks have to be shuttles?? That kinda makes it so alot of designs will be similar
  21. Im so in on this And can we have a rule that no extra NL tools (like AHG, Elementary) can be used? Im making all my coaster by hand, and i think its only fair to people who cant use those things (such as me)
  22. actually, could this change to an 'any BM non-inverted track' contest? making a track thats BM-smooth is hard enough as it is, without the awkward HUGE heartline of a standup train to work around.
