Walygator Parc Discussion Thread

I kind of figured it wouldn't take long for this one to find a new home. -
It's not a B&M. I hear Vekoma won the bid.

When I'm in a zone, I can't be touched. But I do have off days. Larry never has off days. I would like to see Larry in a fight against Chuck Norris. -

Warning for all: take great caution when boarding a spinning ride with Larry Larry is a madman on the Looper at Knoebels. Just a glimpse of the fire in his eyes struck so much fear into my heart that I nearly died on the spot. -
^ Never thought I would be happy about PSU winning the NIT, but it was pretty sweet. Too bad they had such a garbage schedule, including teams like GT (not offense) or else they would have made it to the tourney. Back on topic: Derrick Rose for President I want to see Obama drinking a beer at a Bulls game in Chicago, not in DC God I hope the Lakers lose

^ Not as bad as Tech. Oops. Did I just type that?

^^ The Bruins will rip your heart out and you know it. ^ That is very true. However, I'm finding the Deng is sometimes very inconsistent, and sometimes Vinny D. doesn't use him correctly, much like many other players on the team. Deng is a big part of the Bulls success, but sometimes he can be the downfall, the same kind of characteristic that I feel Gordon and Hinrich have.

Shhhhh...... Don't say that too loudly.

Now Powe is out for the playoffs? Man, if the Bulls can't capitalize on that, they pretty much should just liquidate all assets and call it.

I think the whole thing boils down to marketing your product. What kind of brand marketing did Hard Rock Park do? I would love to hear from the locals about this. Did they establish any kind of name for themselves within the community, or towards visitors? Right now I think they will have to be very creative with their advertising, since I don't think they have a successful product, but they have to try to convey it. The world isn't a "Build it and they will come" place anymore. And I don't really agree with the waterpark thing in this kind of situation. Hershey - yes. But in this situation, the beach is the main water attraction and it is hard to get people away from that.

It is definitely more strictly enforced closer to the stadium. On any given day there is some kind of sporting event in Phillies, and driving the on and off ramps of I-95 and I-76, you will always see at least one person with tickets in their hands, or with a sign stating they have tickets for sale. I have seen cops drive by these people, and they wave to each other.

We had season passes and very rarely went during the day, but the times we did it was a ghost town. The park is going to need a major makeover to make it a viable daytime attraction. I'm not even sure a makeover would do it. I think the whole thing is that it just simply can't survive as a daytime attraction.

This thread makes me want to stab my eyes out with a plastic, caramel dipped spork.

"They are done. Ray Allen can't hold it down anymore." 5 minutes later that comment came back to kick me in the ass.

And will season pass people be wearing the wristbands? Because there could also be confusion with the regular price guests wondering why some people don't have wristbands, and then complaining that they got kicked out of the area, while some people that got there the same time are still allowed access. -

I agree with all that was said, and all of the questions asked. I kind of feel like the timed thing could just create a bit of a disaster. I think the only way that timed would be feasible is with RFID, but then that would drive down your profits for sure. I think the ideas are there, but it will be a tough time implimenting and operating them. -
Not even just that, but I honestly think Ovechkin is more skilled overall too.
-
Oh believe me, I hope they fall to the Bulls, but I do think that with the way things are set up, they might have a fighting chance. I can understand you not wanting to get your heart broken or something, especially since you are also a Mets fan, and we both know what that is all about.

Or the people that will fight and/or complain that they got in at one time or another, even with the color coded system. Just could be a little bit of a headache. -
Am I dumb for thinking they still have a shot at the Finals without Garnett?
-
Oh yeah, that is it. They take time out of their schedule to fabricate steel into coaster track just to distract the few thousand nerds out there.
