  1. Same here!! I'm looking forward to this the most of al the new coasters. Should be hitting it end of may, so lets hope it's as good as it looks in the video.
  2. Really? Far better because of theming? I can understand the objection to the OTSRs, though they were actually pretty comfy and, because of the particular forces (lotsa Gs, little air) on the ride, they seemed less onerous than they often do. But the theming on TTD - aside from the Christmas tree - is a buncha flags and a long nose on the lead car, no? Yes, the bleachers are pretty cool, but KK is the center of a whole jungle-themed area, and the boarding station in particular is much nicer, IMO, than TTD's big concrete nothing. Or did you mean that TTD's relative lack of theming made it better? I didn't care much for Kingda Kas theming. nothing special to me. Seen it 100 times. I found TTD's theming to add a lot to the ride. The station was awesome IMO, everything else worked well.
  3. Reasons to go to CP: Millenium Force is good Maverick is well, look at my sig Raptor, see maverick(or sig) Top Thrill, far better than KK due to lack of OTSR and theming Magnum, Mantis and Wicked Twister are all nice but not breath taking Reasons to go to SFGRAD: Nitro is good Batman, see sig i feel its a lot better than Raptor. El Toro, its an airtime machine if thats your thing. Its not mine but it has by far the best airtime on any wooden coaster Medusa, Kingda Ka fall into the same category as Maggie etc Base it off what you are looking for most. I'd take maverick over everything else. Someone called Iron Dragon a "fine" coaster. LOL
  4. YES, that would have been awesome. Not like they are hard to make or expensive for that matter
  5. Ok, to the person who said raging bull is better than Diamond back: I havent rode DB yet but plan to at the end of may. But still, I hope you rode RB before they put the trims on cause its just awful with them on. Its like driving down the highway in a minivan.
  6. You criticize KI for poor operations on OPENING DAY with new crews on everyride. Tha park was jammed.... Then you say Six Flags St louis is far superior when it had a total of maybe 100 guests that day. Obviously employees will be friendlier if they dont have 200 people in line just to buy a slice of pizza. I know on slow days at my job I'm in much better of a mood than when it's busy. Visit both parks with the same kind of crowds before you compare them to each other.
  7. Starting my big trip off with Holiwood Nights. Then headed to Six Flags St. Louis, Worlds of Fun and Kings Island. Later in the year I'll hit Hershey Park and Knobels or La Ronde. Haven't decided.
  8. in my sig. Took to page 4 for someone to put the Voyage. I think to really appreciate the Voyage, you have to ride it just before riding other "top tier" coasters. I rode Beast which I put at #3 on my list on day 1. Then rode The Voyage on day 2 28 times. Then went back to KI and rode Beast again. It seemed less than half of itself after riding The Voyage a day earlier. It then fell out of my top 5. The Voyage truly is the measuring stick of wooden coasters.
  9. Just wondering if someone knows the history of Rampage at Alabama Adventure. Has it ever been modified or have they ever put any trims on it. Have seen POVs of it and just wondering if this coaster has been changed at any point. Thanks
  10. Just wondering if anyone knows how long this will run. I plan on buying one to Six Flags America for my trip in June. Im from Canada, so will there be any problems with me buying it online instead of at the park itself? thanks
  11. I celebrated it with like 1000000 people at the Waldameer event. Seriously it was packed with enthusiasts, but it was awesome. (274 were registered)
  12. 1.Batman 2.El Toro 3.Nitro After that it doesnt matter but, 4. Medusa 5.Superman
  13. Just look at my sig for my thoughts.
  14. Whats funny is everyone is complaining because there is nothing new with this coaster. You could say the splash down is new(at least on hypers) element, but you complain that they should just put a bunny hill instead. So you don't want a cookie cutter hyper, yet when they toss in something new, you say, thats gay they should have just went with...(cookie cutter elements) I love the fact it goes over the midway.
  15. Hopefully in 10 years Gravity Group has about 15 coasters under their belt. All of which are in small parks and are running the way they were meant to(trimless).
  16. I can say I've done this at least 5 times. Pteranadon Flyers at Islands of Adventure would have to be my first time borrowing a kid to ride. There should be a "coaster whore" card that lets you on any kiddie coaster without a kid.
  17. Mavericks first drop is SICK. Sit in the back row and you will get some SWEET air. IMO WAY better than TTD or MF first drop. Or any hyper for that matter. Maverick is probably the best first drop on any coaster. Although I only rode El Toro after they slowed down the lift. That seemed like it would have been ridiculous.
  18. I'm going to ask what coaster their getting next, cause I KNOW they'll LOVE that one.(obviously I'm not going to ask that question) But seriously, I have no idea. Hope I can come up with something. Going to be sick none the less.
  19. Would anyone happen to know why the pictures do not work for me?
  20. Hey Rob How many people you thinking are going to be attending? How many people have registered so far?
  21. Seriously, Just make a list of the top ten coasters you want to ride. Make a 7 day trip hitting either your #1 and the other parks close to it or try to hit as many in a general area that are on your list. Three weeks is too long IMO Also you dont have enough time for some of the parks in your trip.
  22. Cedar Point or Great Adventure are your best bets. But what about Mt olympus. You get Hades and Cyclops as well as Avalanche down the road. My pick for easily the best place for wooden coasters anywhere, as those 3 are all in my top ten wood. No corporate cuffing of the coasters like at other parks either. But yeah go to Great Adventure.
  23. Im pretty pumped for this event. Better not get cancelled like Wild! @ Wonderland did. Hopefully someone will be standing outside Taxi Jam with their kid all day helping us fellow enthusiasts out. Did i mention I was looking forward to this? Especially the walk back!
