  1. 120 mph! Thats crazy! They definately dont look that fast, but thanks for some new random knowledge. I've always wanted to go up and stand close to one just to check it out.
  2. I'd pay $80 for that if I had a big office and earned lots of money.. However seeing as I dont ever really want to sit in an office all day and that means I'll probably never have a lot of money.. then yeah.. Ebay or something. Anyways, It's a cool idea. I've always liked models of things like that.. there is a company that makes mini baseball stadiums. Pretty cool to look at. Eric
  3. Haha.. are there even Roy Rogers that still operate outside of the PA turnpike?? I like Somerset.. no obligatory windmill pictures? Great TR though. You arent kidding when you say the Wildcat gives an insane ride at night. It's definately one of the most tempermental coasters out there.. I went a week or two ago and we rode it during the day and it was really smooth. We then went back at night and it felt like it was going 100mph and completely out of control!! It was a little rough (we also sat in the back) but it was Lat G and airtime insanity. Moved up to my number 2 on the wooden coaster side.. the Phoenix cant be dethroned too easily. I'm surprised it was that crowded on a Sun night. Usually thats when I'll go for the twilight plan and its usually pretty empty. Eric
  4. Yeah.. I wasted like an hour of my life this weekend trying to figure out meaningless clues! Weak! I was at Lakeside back in May. Neat place. Definately has some scary rides. Like the ride that was shut down because there was a electric line pole sitting in the middle of it. I think it was gangs get in for free night when we were there too.. :? But the Cyclone... WOW.. I wasnt sure what to think looking at it.. sort of like staring at the coaster at Williams Grove.. but it was great. Eric
  5. Im not finding any Bret guy though.. Maybe Robb and Elissa were invite to open a new restaurant Eric
  6. Shawshank?! Are you in Zihuatanejo, Mexico? Shawshank Prison is in Maine... maybe all you Maine people are right after all
  7. I'm sticking with Reno.. until I doubt myself again in a few minutes. Eric
  8. The Hoover Dam!?! or the Grand whatever dam thing? haha. That has a lot of electricity and water?! They've couldve gone tubing somewhere too. It was also in a National Lampoon Vacation movie. Eric
  9. LOL Wes.. I like the magnifying cone technique.. I was sure it was Reno.. but I guess thats not right. Man.. I'm not up on my waterparks. I'd have to agree with Schlitterbahn, just because I remember them liking it so much. Maybe they are going tubing or something?! I'll look at the pictures in more detail.. That Statue looks like the Genie from Aladdin.. which makes no sense. Eric
  10. Can anyone make out what it says under Idlewild? It has to be be a big clue or else they wouldnt have cut it out of there. My new guess is Reno, Nevada.. Its near Lake Tahoe, and has an Idlewild Park.. Its going to take some more clues for me.. Eric
  11. It could be my area code too! 17327! I'll keep some sort of weapon very close to my bed tonite... Anyways, Baltimore has water.. the Inner Harbor.. which has the USS Constellation which is an old war ship.. But why they would fly in somewhere around Idlewild and drive there is beyond me. Unless they are hitting parks really quickly going to wherever they are going. I dont think the clues could be THAT hidden though.. unless Robb and Elissa have a lot of time to be coming up with some very useless knowlegde like where saltines are made or where TWA's old hubs were.. This is really fun, but I'm dying to know what we're missing..
  12. Niagra Falls??? What does Tea.. maybe means something about China and Boston have in common.. and why would you be in PA for anything? and why is that IDLEWILD sign picture smaller and looks like whatever thats on the bottom is cut out for a reason? Eric
  13. Hersheypark is sweetened with sugar.. maybe? Have no idea where crackers and all the other stuff comes into that though. Except ducks.. haha.. You guys have been spending so much time in other parts of the world lately that you havent been to many NE parks this year... so who knows! I dont think you've been on Hydra or KK yet. It looks like all those updates were taken at the same place.. the floor of the arcade is the same as the toilets.. Im trying to figure out what is in this region that Robb and Elissa would care about enough to go there!?! Thats not a park.. Eric
  14. Could be anywhere! If Kennywood isnt right it could be anywhere along the turnpike in PA.. Hersheypark, Dorney? Maybe going out to Six Flags Great Adv to hit up Kingda Ka?
  15. I dont think it'd be FL related because arent they going there in Oct? Im gonna go out on a limb here and say Williamsburg, VA... it has Busch Gardens, and the Boston Tea Party took place in that era leading to the American Revolution which is what the place is all about. And they have bunnies! Eric
  16. Has anyone seen the map in the book in the middle of the page? I dont remember seeing it this afternoon but I didnt look too hard at the page. It looks like its only IOA.. themed VERY COOL.. Terra Throne = Port of Entry Dragon Forge --- LC Terror Mines = Poseidon Burning Oak = Enchanted Oak Blood Ruins = Looks like thats Dragons?! Or Maybe Sinbad.. I'm losT! Corewood Forest --- JP Cemetary Mines= Trike? South Hollow -- Marvel Bill and Ted = Matt Hoffman like last year North Hollow -- Suess Where Evil Hides and Cold Blind Terror look like they'll be in soundstages. Thats most of what I can make out. Not sure if you have seen it yet. My friends at Dragons told me it's only IOA, and it doesnt look like they have set up any passages between the parks so if they decide to open the Studios it'll be non themed. Personally, although it gets crazy at IOA on busy nights, I liked it better there than in both parks. You arent safe ANYWHERE, unlike the dead spots last year.. maybe because I was working 10AM-2AM in somedays I didnt like it as much last year I dunno.. looks AWESOME though and I miss working there Eric
  17. In Maryland today, there were rumors that the govenor was going to shut down all gas stations and caused a huge panic. "Marylanders can ignore the rumor that the State is closing down gas stations today, or any other day. The rumor is absolutely and entirely untrue. Marylanders should continue to lead their every day lives, while being mindful to conserve energy when appropriate. We are already taking the precautionary steps to help ensure every Marylander has access to adequate supplies of gasoline. Again, continue leading your everyday lives, conserve energy when appropriate, and enjoy the holiday weekend." A Baltimore radio station apparently gave out false information saying gas stations would be forced to close at 4 p.m." off of- www.wjz.com Sorta funny.. I think Im going to go ride my bike in preparation. Eric
  18. I had a hamster named Hammie once, I thought that was a clever name.. guess not .. anyways... Sorry to hear about RatTums. Try to remember all the good times and happiness that he brought into your lives and you guys gave him the best life possible... he was probably the most popular hamster ever! Eric
  19. $4-$5 a gallon down there in Georgia!?! They have pictures from different areas on AOL.. Here are some of the Premium Prices: Jonesboro, GA - $5.19 Long Island, NY - $3.59 Michigan - $3.71 Lauren, SC - $4.99 Long Beach, CA - $3.99 (thats odd...) I drive a '02 Celica which gets really good gas mileage and got gas the other night for $2.69. Last night it was $2.96 here in PA. We're 8 miles from the MD line and 45 from Baltimore so hopefully the DC area insanity won't reach up this far. Luckily I'm helping do construction work this summer/fall and ride my bike there.. and then am too tired to have much of a life. I agree though. Maybe people will stop driving the short distances and ride a bike or walk. As much as this sucks for commuters and vacationers, it can really only help some of the health problems this country has... aka being LAZY, and people not knowing how to relax and actually take some time to enjoy things. Eric
  20. I didnt notice this yesterday, but does that top hat go straight up, and straight over, without a twist? Sort of like Hypersonic? That'd be amazing.. Oh yeah.. and so will the crazy airtime hills, overbanks, helix, and random fly back into the station/Earthquake?! area.. even the brake run will probably kick ass somehow! The only bad thing about this coaster is.. I'm on the OTHER side of the WORLD. Oh well, Im happy for you Australians! Eric
  21. Thats exactly what I was thinking. It has the Hammerhead like on Nitro, the same type of helix as Apollo. There's no doubt in my mind this is going to be a great coaster. A couple of things I noticed in the video.. TREES!! Is Six Flags actually not going to clear cut the entire area? Add trees to the nice ponds, this is far from a parking lot/SFA SROS, coaster. Good job Georgia. Is this by the Badnitrus guy? He has the best job ever and probably knows all these layouts months before most everyone else to make these.. Eric "I hate excessive fake screaming" Geiple
  22. Thats true, you're right. As far as property damage goes this def. looks like the Tsunami. Did anyone see any of that amatuer video that one guy shot from a parking garage? Talk about CRAZY. Anyways, a little off topic but not worth starting a new topic about. My dad said someone told him today that here in PA, Sheetz (gas station) is paying over $3 a gallon just to get gas. So expect prices to jump well above $3 everywhere. Here they were $2.68 last night and $2.92 this morning. Not that I'm complaining. It was only a matter of time until we got a kick in the @$$. I just hope that the people driving that Hummer and paying $300,000 for a new house that is built in a week arent complaining.. Eric
  23. I knew I was going to miss one! Is there anyway you can edit Mt. Olympus in there somehow Robb/Elissa? Eric
  24. The question is... Which park has the best combination of 3 wooden coasters? I know a lot of people would like to say Holiday World for this one, but seeing as the Voyage is just a pile of steel and wood at the moment.. that doesnt count yet! Here are the choices: Paramount Kings Island: The Beast, Son of Beast, Racer. Hersheypark: Lightning Racer, Wildcat, Comet. Kennywood: Racer, Thunderbolt, Jack Rabbit. Geauga Lake: Big Dipper, Villian, Raging Wolf Bobs. Indiana Beach: Cornball Express, Hoosier Hurricane, LoCoSuMo. Paramount Kings Dominion: Hurler, Grizzly, Rebel Yell Paramount Canada's Wonderland: Minebuster, Scooby's, Wild Beast. Paramount Carowinds: Fairly Odd Coaster, Hurler, Thunder Road. I think I hit all the big ones.. I only did North America (sorry BPB'ers) . Eric
