  1. These comments are why I was so happy to sign up for the very first Mexico Tour. Although you guys vow to not go to these parks again, I feel that the adventure you took going to them in the first place is a more exciting memory for me than going on a perfectly tuned trip. That could definitely be just me, though.
  2. ^Apocalypse had two trains in the fall. I haven't been on Colossus backwards in a very long time, but when I rode it, I remember it being a faster and smoother ride than forward Colossus due to the heavier B&M trains. I do remember elbowing my friend in the head going into the mid-course. Lesson learned: Hey! The track curves a little bit right there!
  3. You know you're at a Six Flags park when you just paid $16 for a bottle of soda.
  4. ^Yeah, we don't need to have this debate right now. But I take many out of town visitors to the park and most people think its the bees knees, for what it's worth. Hoping that Revolution IS in fact ready by Saturday, bringing a friend from out of town (that likes X2) and it's the only credit he doesn't have!
  5. Why wait, Bill! Come down with me next month!
  6. Does anybody know what the cultural reference to 'Zimerman' is?
  7. I'm not 100% sure, but it's my understanding that Captain Jack Sparrow intentionally looks a little fake in order to fit in with the other audio-anamatronics found throughout the ride.
  8. Every time RMC or Six Flags Mexico posts more pics to Facebook, I'm like, YES! I'm going to Mexico City again soon!
  9. ^That's kinda what I'm saying... "First park with 2 hybrid coasters" or "First park with dueling hybrid coasters" or "First park with racing hybrid coasters" or ALL THREE seems more SFMM's style. You know IF THIS IS EVEN THE PLAN lol.
  10. On the 'Jurassic Park money shot,' what is that strange path going into an elevated building in the background. Weird elevated paths intrigue me lol.
  11. Am I the only one that thinks this pipe dream of connecting the tracks is .... pretty dumb? I could list reasons but, well the main one is that most say that RMC's are plenty intense enough at their current length, I don't think 8,000 feet of track would bode well with most riders. Plus, 2 separate tracks keeps them well ahead of Cedar Point in coaster count, and we all know that that's all SFMM cares about!
  12. ^Weekdays in May are generally pretty dead, or so I hear.
  13. ^Not so unbelievable that people fall for the rumor, I mean, stand in line at any looping ride at SFMM and somebody has gotten stuck at some point ---upside down--- on each one!
  14. ^I called the park and she said that SP's will be allowed for entry into the park. It just won't allow entry into whatever the music thing is, and who cares. She also said that she doesn't think I need to pre-purchase a Flash Pass, for what it's worth.
  15. The park is open to the general public as well. Music in the Parks is an outside company that hosts band/choral/orchestra groups for competitions that culminate with an awards ceremony at the park (and a picnic). This company hosts events at just about every Six Flags park. There may be a lot of middle/high school students at the park, but other than that, it's a normal operating day. Thanks, the part I'm curious about is the 'no season passes will be accepted' part. I don't mind purchasing an FP but if I can't use my pass, then no bueno. Been on hold for OVER A HALF HOUR to ask this simple question, Six Flags!!!!
  16. Hey guys, I was planning on visiting next Saturday (May 10), and I just got the SP mailer that mentions somehing about "Music in the Park." It also mentions that tickets must be purchased at their website, admission at the gate will be full price, and season passes will not be accepted. Am I missing something? Have I chosen a terrible day to visit?
  17. ^Volaris and Interjet run amazing National flight specials all the time. Sometimes, flights from Tijuana to Mexico City (Tijuana is a 2 hour drive from my home), for around $100 each way!!! I would assume that finding a flight from DF to Monterrey for cheap would not take too much work if you planned it in advance and are willing to use Mexican airlines (they're great, btw).
  18. Most likely because Six Flags doesn't care. They probably figure that it's not visible from guest areas so they don't see the point in removing it. Six Flags has a long, storied history of laziness when it comes to ride removals but here are some examples of them doing the same thing. This is very much NOT the case at Six Flags Mexico. As mentioned, the track is supposed to make 3 passes at that area so presumably track will be laid on this structure.
  19. ^Totally unrelated to this thread but I LOVE your avatar
  20. SFM posted a picture of the Medusa train on-site today. The picture below is from their facebook. Also, I have been told that the Grad Night information is no longer advertising Medusa as part of the event. This could indicate that they don't think it will be ready by June. 21. SFMM: YOLO boneless wings, 7 1" diameter circles for $11 Garlic Fries and a souvenir bottle cost me $25 after tax...$25 for fries and soda hahaha
  22. I love how the wine at YOLObar is in the fancy font. lol.
  23. ^I have heard that AAA night at SFMM is fairly uncrowded, for what it's worth.
