You're kidding right? There's nothing in Kansas. The theme park near Wichita closed down a year ago. But seriously. Are you kidding? I guess if you're willing to travel a little bit, there's Worlds Of Fun in Kansas City, and Frontier City in Oklahoma City. And Silver Dollar City is just a couple hours from Independence.

"Trim brakes on three hills and Deja' Vu seating!" Lol jk. I haven't heard major problems with these two things. Just thought I'd say that

People who say "dis" instead of "this", and "den" instead of "then" etc. I don't remember when the "d" replaced the "th". It just really annoys me. "Dis is da one and only (Insert name)!!!" What's the point? It just really irritates me.

Today in my engineering class: A group of friends (which includes me) were all talking about what we did this weekend. I told them that I biked from the mall to Joyland (which is about 18-20 miles total). This got us on the conversation of Joyland. Person 1: It's really sad Joyland closed. I liked it before the new owners. Person 2: Ya it was really great. Do you know why they closed it? Person 1: People kept dieing. They kept getting sued. One time, one of the roller coaster cars came off the tracks and killed like, 600 people! Me: *Gets angry and laughs at the same time* Yeah not that many people have died at the park in its 50+ year history. Wasn't it a maintenance guy who was cutting grass by the roller coaster, and was too close or something? Person 1: No no, that was the log ride. The roller coaster is so dangerous. I heard it collapsed. And it never passed inspection last year because they would let people on illegally and then they would die. This was one of the strangest conversations I've had in a while. EDIT: This is a comment on the YouTube video in my post above. (Where Primeval Whirl got stuck on the lift hill) "haha this is nothing compared to Kingda Ka at great adventure. one of the magnets was messed up, and they closed the ride for two hours before we went on, and then the ride after us, the sent up a test run and it came down backwards. and then they shut it down for a year. kinda frightening, yes?"

I'm very impressed with Intamin. This design and Kawasemi cover a decent footprint and look like fun, family rides. This would be a great ride for smaller parks looking for a huge thrill.

^IMO, no. Even though they don't have floors, they are not "on the track". The seats are on the outside. So what I believe to be a floorless coaster, is one where the train is on top of the track, with no floor.

Grr!!! We have this HUGE project we are working on in our engineering class. It's for the school projects fair towards the end of the semester. Well, the teacher told us (on wednesday of last week) that he would let us know what to do for our projects on Monday. Well, his mom died, so he hasn't been here the past couple of days to tell us what to do. So this substitute is getting mad at all the kids for not doing anything. Um, we've told him countless times we don't have any instructions! We don't know what to do!

I looked at that locked thread in the Theme Parks, and donkeys thread, the one about Tatsu stuck in the air. I went to that videos page and looked at the comments, and there were so many that said something like, "Poor people! All the blood rushing to their heads!" It annoys me

It appears to ride a LOT faster in the video...and it looks as if it flies over those hills. We'll just have to see how they handle this ride when it opens, and hopefully those trims don't kill the ride.

It's Earth Day. So I'm going to treat everyone like dirt.

And they take out working rides to make Steel Lasso? Why can't we put this coaster in the Nightmare Mines building? Or just demolish that whole thing? Well, hopefully we'll find out sometime. I think that this is a great idea. It's a nice family coaster, and everyone can enjoy it.

It amazes me what people leave as comments on YouTube. "dude just shut the fuck up you fag go suck a dick" What's with all the hate? It's everywhere! Why are people so mean? I'm not mad because this comment was directed at me, I'm mad because of the disrespect people have for one another. Can't we all just get along?

Living in the heart of Tornado Alley, you would think I've been through tornadoes. Eh, I haven't. I've been through some warnings though, and they are scary enough. I haven't been in a warning for years, but I hope I don't have to anytime soon. And yes, tornadoes interest me a lot. Just not the destruction! I've always had the mental vision of my family going into the basement for a tornado, and when we finally go up, nothing is there
