    Your House

Yup, houses in California are ridiculous. For half the price of a small house in Cali, you could by a mansion in Houston. Of course, Location, Location, Location. Speaking of Houston, one of the bad things about living here (besides no amusement parks anymore) is precisely that the cost of living is so cheap. It forms a trap, because moving anywhere else and maintaining the same living standards can be prohibitively expensive. I also want to add that asking about the house of someone on the internet you've likely never met before leans a bit too close to 'invasion of privacy' for my own tastes. Maybe it's because I live in a van down by the river, though. Matt
  2. Facebook, because most myspace pages make my eyes bleed. Matt
  3. Wikipedia has some basic info regarding this game including an interview with the developer and links to preview sites. I don't own any of the consoles it is being released on so I haven't followed it very closely. edit: though it appears it may be released for the PC eventually, so I may have to keep an eye on it. I'll just sit and hope that someday the source code for No Limits and RCT2 get mixed and produce a wonderful game. Matt
  4. A little something for the Zidane fans: Matt
  5. I was thinking the same thing. You couldn't post any of your TR pics on TPR either. lol Sure you could. Photoshop has a blur utility. Matt
  6. Behold, the wonders of two minutes in MS Paint: Smut?
  7. ^ I say that we'll come back the day after provided they sterilize all ride seats. Matt
  8. ^Thanks. Shame I don't have any real reason to head to Utah or Wyoming any time soon... Matt
  9. That looks incredibly fun. Where is the location of the mountain coaster residing west of the Mississippi? Matt
  10. I could only imagine that the sudden stop was actually a relief to those on-board. I don't think they'll need morphine so much as they'll need a good benzo for if and when PKI gives the guests free exit passes to ride again. Matt
  11. Does this mean they can finally tear it down and replace it with something fun like a go-kart track? Matt
  12. Did you even watch the same game? France dominated most of it, and had far more scoring opportunities than Italy did. Frankly, Italy should be extremely thankful that France (or at least, Zidane...) screwed up near the end to give them the edge. Matt
  13. Italy wins in penalties 5-3. Somehow I doubt the result would've been the same if Zidane were there. Matt
  14. Well there's gotta be more to it than we saw as it was largely off-camera, but still when you're the captain of your team and one of the best penalty-takers on the planet (not even considering your last game ever), what the hell possessed you to do that? Matt
  15. Zidane just ended his career with a red card for a stupid head-butt minutes before the end of extratime. I have absolutely no idea what he was thinking and it's such a shame to see the greatest player in the last 30 years end this way. Let's hope France hangs on until penalties... Matt
  16. The malteses are even uglier if you let their hair grow all the way out as seen in shows. We keep her hair roughly the length seen in the photos, so she always looks like a puppy. Matt
  17. Mostly maltese, but we think there's some poodle in her. And although that photo is older, she's going on 3 years old now and looks much the same. Matt
  18. Nope. I've found the zipper to be far more economical and practical than buttons or velcro. Matt
  19. I agree with you: carnival rides and Six Flags restrooms are perhaps two of the scariest, most life-endangering experiences one can self-inflict. Matt
  20. Our dog, Angel: Which are stuffed and which is real? This bow lasted a total of 5 seconds, at best.
  21. I hit a point somewhere around 19 or 20 where I realized all current music of any genre currently being released was horrid, and I maintain that belief with little exception to this day. There seems to be a point somewhere around 2000 where music headed downhill exponentially, in my opinion. That said, most of what I listen to isn't on the radio but on mixed mp3 CDs. I keep a decent mix of The Who, Queen, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Eric Clapton (in various incarnations: The Yardbirds, Cream, etc.), older U2, Counting Crows, Joe Satriani, Kevin Cadogan, and finally Third Eye Blind's earlier stuff. Listening to the radio in Houston is a bad idea: nearly every station is owned by ClearChannel these days. This means our top 40 stations, mix station, and "rock" stations all play the same crap. Every other channel being Tejano or Country doesn't help, either. Matt
  22. My wife has this crazy, crazy, idea that there exists such a thing as a good vacation without rollercoasters. Matt
  23. Thanks for the reply. I'm still going to try to squeeze this trip in but my wife decided we should use the ski trip money on a trip to Disneyland/Socal instead. We've never been, so I don't mind this, but it's hard to turn down an opportunity to ride so many different fun B&M's. Matt
  24. You're about my age so I can sympathize: I used to hate those things, too. However, about five years ago they changed from using mostly dark meat (in my experience) to using all white meat and now they actually taste decent, or at the very least, tolerable. Matt
  25. I think McDonald's is hinting at cutting back on your portions without being mean about it. Matt
