  1. What iconic performance does Ledger have to live up to? Nicholson's Joker was more of Nicholson acting like himself, certainly nothing iconic or even noteworthy. How he measures to Hamill will be the question. Matt
  2. Where did you read that? Beech Bend and Indiana Beach are both listed as possible parks and they're small. She said that you can't expect ERT anywhere, not that you can't expect to go to x park. Matt
  3. I hear we can get up to 4 hours of bus ERT each day! Matt
  4. That's just bizarre. Judging by the name, I can't imagine the levels of nausea that will result. Good times. Matt
  5. I'm still amazed that people interested in such details haven't looked at the UK trip to approximate their answers. I mean, pretty much every question has already been spelled out at least once, and the answers this time aren't likely to be all that different. C'est la vie, I suppose. Matt
  6. My wife, brother-in-law, and I will be doing a Southern US tour in early July next year (same time as Spain trip) and you can meet us @ Dollywood if you want, darklingscribe. Matt
  7. ^ All the more reason to send an eCheck. Matt
  8. Sounds decent. Spending an extra $5 or so to send an eCheck is cheaper for me than sending a letter certified via USPS (Call me paranoid, but I don't like sending huge sums of money through a third party with such a high chance for incompetence along the way). Matt
  9. So you have paypal worked out, eh? Sounds good, although they're liable to steal a good 5% of those deposits from you. Matt
  10. I have no issues with locals going, just locals soaking up spots when they aren't even sure they can go! As for midwest beer, I believe "bland" is an adequate descriptor. Matt
  11. With the UK trip there was an initial refundable deposit but after that it was non-refundable. Personally, I think it'd be a bit unfair to hold a spot when you're not even sure you can go while there are those who wish to go but can't due to lack of space. Especially when it's your home area and you can hit all those parks on your own any time you want. Just my opinion, however. Matt
  12. Perfect dates for the midwest trip. I'm afraid there will be way more applicants than the 50 spots available, however. Nonetheless, I will shoot for this trip. I'm on a family vacation during the Spain trip and am working during the Japan trip, unfortunately. Matt
  13. I hate to bump this extremely dated thread but I was looking at the design of the TPR shirt as I am probably ordering one soon and noticed something funny: You have "Donkey's" instead of "Donkeys". Is the apostrophe there for a reason or is it a typo? It doesn't appear to be possessive of anything nor do you use the apostrophe in this forum title. Thanks, Matt
  14. UPDATE: Alton Towers has cancelled its Muslim day due to poor ticket sales. http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2006350410,00.html Matt
  15. Isn't Texas airfare wonderful? You can fly roundtrip from NY-LA cheaper than from Texas-LA or even Texas-NY! At least I can fly Southwest! /Wright amendment for the win Matt
  16. The boards @ mouseplanet.com or disboards.com might be more beneficial as I'm sure there are billions more with the same question. Matt (Heading to WDW in Dec 2007, those boards have been a fountain of information!)
  17. I don't know about that....I'm not exactly wishing to drive through Compton again (I did that drive several years ago). We're not really beach people. I enjoy the views but not so much spending time on one (unless it comes with white sand and clear water). We'll have our beach fill when we visit Santa Monica. On the other hand, any beach must be nicer than Galveston's. Matt
  18. The one at Magic Springs doesn't use any brakes until the pre-station brake run. I haven't rode enough mouses to compare its intensity, however. Matt
  19. The second Saturday in March 2007 is the 10th, so it looks like we're okay. I'd be very upset if my wife or myself was squashed by a fat ACEr sitting on us. Matt
  20. ^ If you'll recall my recent TR from Magic Springs and the perceived intelligence of the native fauna, I think we can safely chalk this one up to 'rider irresponsibility'. Matt
  21. Isn't that usually on a Saturday? Matt
  22. ^ Good to hear. It looks like we'll be visiting Knott's on a Friday (Mar 16) now, and stay at least through lunch at Mrs. Knott's. That afternoon we plan to run by the Santa Monica Pier as well. Matt
  23. It was Twist 'n' Shout, Magic Spring's wild mouse (rode it two weeks ago!): http://rcdb.com/id723.htm Entire article at: http://www.ardemgaz.com/ShowStoryTemplate.asp?Path=ArDemocrat/2006/07/30&ID=Ar01802&Section=Arkansas
  24. Of course, judging from Robb's TR's from last year everything might be closed in mid-Marcch. Anywho, I think I've figured out a way to get a couple extra hours there. We're switching around hotels and staying in Anaheim the entire time now, I think, so we'd be able to hit Knott's in a morning at opening and stay through lunch or later. It's nice that everyone in Southern California is in school this week. Matt
  25. Well, we're officially heading to California next March for about a week. We're spending 4.5 days at Disneyland and are thinking of using that .5 remaining on the fifth day (which would be Wednesday the 14th) to visit Knott's before heading to our next Hotel near Universal City. As best as I can see, Knott's closes at 6PM in March, although their website doesn't have hours posted for next year. We'd be able to get there as early as 3 PM, however we also would like to stop and eat at that famous Chicken restaurant first (or after, if it is open after park close). As we've never been to Knott's, we'd really like to credit whore the place out in the 3 or so hours we'll have there. Is it possible or am I trying to fit too much in to one day? Thanks, Matt
