  1. I need to get out more: 1-Grand National 2-The Ultimate 3-Kumali 4-Velocity 5-Pepsi Max Big One 6-Big Dipper 7-Rollercoaster I won't finish it, after that it gets a bit desperate.
  2. For me, it has to be Velocity at Flamingoland. Especially if the ride-ops 'make sure your nice and safe'.
  3. /\ Don't worry, I will. lol Thanks for the comments everybody.
  4. That turn at the top of the lift hill looks far too over-banked.
  5. I rode this over at Coastersims and I must say it was superbly smooth. However, I thought the ride didn't feature anything I hadn't seen before and to be honest, it wasn't as fun as it could have been. Great work on the 3ds though.
  6. Here's my advice: Reducing pumps (jerks) - Increase the size of the vertex points but not to the point where its too big (it makes matters worse). Ride the ride and see wether they need to be bigger or smaller. Also, keep each section to a similar length (20ft is a good one) so you can use the smoother (ctrl+g) effectively.
  7. Well, that isn't creativity, thats testing out skills. I think I'll pass.
  8. Why do you want us to show creativity by making a re-creation?
  9. Here's a few photos since I've got nothing better to do.
  10. Films I've watched recently: The Dark Knight - A fantastically intelligent movie made better by superb acting. 9/10 Hancock - Starts well but goes of in the wrong direction. 6/10 Lara Croft 2 - Stupid, un-original and tedious. 4/10 Hellboy - While it isn't perfect, its fun to watch. 6/10
  11. ^ Sure, I'm making one as we speak. EDIT: Finished it!
  12. ^ I've already packaged the ride but I'll fiddle around with it and see if it looks any better. EDIT: Done it!
  13. Nearly done now, all I have to do is finish whats left of the supports, add a few 3ds and a custom station.
  14. I knew someone would mention that sooner or later. I had no intention of making the lift face upwards mainly because it removed the feeling of flight. Just imagine that it can fold up both ways if it bothers you.
  15. Looks good so far, however I'm going to be away when you release it for a week so I'll probably miss it. Best of luck though.
  16. ^ Wow, I didn't know I was so highly regarded. I hope I meet expectations with this. Well, heres a photo of the half-loop (unsupported)
  17. I'm not going to bash you but I will give you some advice: 1-Reducing pumps (jerks) - Increase the size of the vertex points but not to the point where its too big thus making it worse. Ride the ride and see wether it needs to be bigger or smaller. Too add to that, use Ctrl+G (the smoother) on equally sized sections, it can help but it can also ruin a ride so use it well. 2-Usage of launches and brakes - You should never use launches to avoid valleying and you should never use brakes to keep the forces down. You should only use launches as a means of getting the train to a certain speed a the beggining of a track and you shouldn't use trims full-stop (unless you really want them) 3-Straight lifts or brakes - To straighten a section of track, simple select that section and press 'I'. For a lift, split the lift into three sections, increase the size of the middle one and straighten it. 4-Tunnel test - To avoid peoples limbs being sliced of, you need to select the whole track and put a tunnel over it. Then you ride the track and if you see anything that enters the tunnel other than the track, you need to change it 5-Supports - You can't really tell if your track isn't under-supported, you just have to use you instinct. Look at photos of rides similar to your to see how their supported and simple mimic it. Try to make your own supports rather than pre-fabs, people like it better when you do. Finally, I suggest you look at other peoples coasters and see how their made. It helped me and I can't see why it won't help you. Now, I need to get a drink.
  18. ^ Export the object as a .3ds into the objects folder. Then place it in the editor as usual. And yes, I can help a bit. But only with the Object creator (I'm still learning Anim8tor and the others don't work for me).
  19. We watch too much Futurama.
  20. I'm sure he won't mind. Xenon_Reconfigured_[M]_(Crazy_Coaster_Guy).nlpack
  21. I agree with you, its generic at best.
  22. Copied from Coasterfuel.com First of all, let me say this is fantastic ride. While it isn't heavenly smooth, it certainly feels like a Vekoma ride, and a fun one at that. *The good* -Superbly replicates Vekoma aggression. -Great speed throughout -Great elements -Originally styled *The not so good* -The elements didn't *flow* as well as they should of -While original, I thought the whole violet enviroment was camp. *My verdict* While it isn't perfect, its certainly well designed. 8/10
  23. Prepare to embark on a journey ... a journey you'll never forget ... glide through the meadows, soar over trees and reach beyond the clouds .... let you imagination run wild in the 'Flyer'. This is my first official ride since Christmas and I believe my NL skills have improved vastly over the months. The ride itslef isn't perfect but I'm still proud of it and I hope you enjoy it. Special thanks go to: -Tanks4me - Testing it out and telling me where I could improve -KPWoCkAxX - Making the logo in the waterfall. -TPR users - For giving me advice and telling me 'it looks good' a lot. All 3ds were made by myself using pre-made textures. Enjoy! -------------------------------------- (I know that this thing has evacuation problems but such things were un-avoidable due to what I had in mind and NL limitations) -------------------------------------- _Flyer_ (DR-CZ) .nlpack Flyer AD.wmv
