How can any park justify charging anything over $5 for parking?!?!? (And that should be preferred parking, with a farther free-parking option!) $8!!!! $10!!!! Holy crap, am I spoiled. Great trip report.

OK, check this out... Beastie Boys (in their greatness for the music community) are releasing accepelas of their tunes for other artists to LEGALLY remix and distribute (for free) songs from their last CD. Well, of course, I jumped on this for 2 reasons, one, I love working with music, and two, to give "props" to one of the most innovative bands in the music biz today. I was thinking "Swingers' Park" also. A better word for that would have been "Playground". But then, I'm sure we perverted Americans would have thought of something about that too.

Just me. I've been online since 1992, and I've seen this same thread time after time on a hundred different genres of forum over the years, it's almost to the point of irritation. (No, not that kind that itches with pustule discharge... LOL) It's just old hat for me I guess. You always get the "I'm curious to see who's gay" thread, but it always turns out to be "I'm curious to see who makes the moronic statements". I'm just glad nobody's misquoted the Bible yet, but that's a whole other monster that I'm sure R&E wouldn't allow, it always gets very heated. LOL (Yes, I actually have the Bible on my PC and do church on Sundays! You can pick up your jaws off the floor now. LOL)

The best ending is a tie for me, Thunderbolt and Jack Rabbit at Kennywood, since they're the only two coasters I know of that have their largest drop being the last on the ride. Worst ending (as mentioned by others) is Adventure Express at PKI.

I'm hearing a LOT about this game. I'm not a gamer, but thinking of trying it. I used to play Everyquest a couple years ago.

I was lucky to ride one of these at a carnival back in the 80's. (The Herschell model.) They are much more fun than the Chance model just for the fact that you control the flipping action.

I've done work for corporate legal consulting, It's not an assumption, it's a fact. You always see those big companies make big to-do's with that oversized check "We'd like to give you millions that we raised with this big check, don't forget to take our picture with our corporate logo embossed on the check...". They do it all the time, it's PR stunting. If they really cared, they'd have a direct link to red cross, and make no mentions of how much they raised, now wouldn't they? Heck, the Apple donation site just forwards me to download their crappy software! WTF? It's not about being dishonest, the money does go to the red cross. It's about being tacky, taking a tragedy, and making use of it to get out it's corporate identity. Heck, Amazon's donation site is just a brag-site! No matter what you think, ALL corporations (including Apple) answer to the shareholders, and nothing is done that doesn't effect the bottom line. It's sad, yes, but it's something that American culture accepts. The only reason ALL large companies do charity work for, is the PR. If it's in Apple's blood, let their employees (including Mr. Jobs) give their own money in a big check, and point the rest of us to the official donation site where is can be expidited almost instantly to get the help out that is needed NOW, not tomorrow. http://redcross.org Sure, Apple may have helped you in a time of need, and sure, they may care, but it's still PR. They made sure you knew it was them.

1-Parks have been known to inflate their stats. The most famous one from the past that I can think of right now was Buffalo Bill's. 2-GBOWW is weird when it comes to the rules it makes about coasters, and they change the categories all the time. Quite misleading in itself. Not to mention, it's not "the bible", so to speak. 3-If we were counting structure, Slushie is right, High Roller is the king of that category. I dunno, too many rules ruin the fun for me, I try not to pay attention... :?

My partner and I both donated without the other knowing. I'm sure it will be put to good use.

There are tons of places that will take the donations, like Amazon, itunes, etc... but to make sure your money goes DIRECTLY to the red cross, go to http://www.redcross.org. It makes the funds available IMMEDIATELY, because they need it NOW. These companies are collectiong money for PR purposes, and I think it's REALLY tacky. "OH look, we're such a good company, we raised millions...", and yet, they hold the money until they look impressive.

Fort Lauderdale: Last night, (around 12AM) a couple convenience stores "ran out" of gas, and others spiked the price over the $3 mark, but the cheap-o places were still at $2.89. A customer at work told me that Port Everglades (Our shipping port here) is OUT of gas to ship in the south west. We're screwed!

During the storm, the side panel flapped in the breeze, and let tons of rain water in the electrical compartment. It will take a couple days to dry out.
