Lagoon Discussion Thread
Twister II replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
But Zierer has had no history of building a launch coaster, wouldn't you expect to see at least a little info on a new coaster prototype on their website? Plus, Zierer has only had one coaster over 100ft. I just hope its not Zierer. -
That. Looks. So. Good. mode>

Guy's "It came from" Video
Twister II replied to Stitch's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I really think its fine. I personally like longer descriptions. I just think that you should put a link to the 2005 videos on the 2006 contest page. -
Whoh! The new coaster is open! The name given is Anaconda. The splash boats and slide ride are still undergoing construction. Here are some pic's from media day. CrAzY aIrTiMe! Taken from the MCBR Here is the second. One of the two turn around bowls. The drop is HUGE! The lift is HUGE! The first aid station is to help the riders deal with the amazement of the ride! The queue goes threw this double level restaurant. Offering pizza, cocktails, and hamburgers! Station/Queue/Restaurant area Station threw the trees

Hey everybody! This thread is simple! Rather than having a million little threads about everything that goes on at Lagoon, this thread is designed to consolidate it all into one user-friendly thread. Feel free to use it to post updates, trip reports, questions, comments, and of course, general discussion. For pictures and videos of the park as well as past updates, see TPR's Park Index Page. Official Park Website Below are some links to past updates from the park, you may be interested in. And finally it seems to be true! http://rcdb.com/id3534.htm I've heard about an X-Car type coaster, or a Half pipe. To me, a Half pipe seems very unlikely since there is one only 7 hours away. I'll be traveling to Lagoon the weekend of June 9th, and I'll definitely be on the looking for anything! Lagoon seems to be getting a lot better! New paint job for Jet Star II, new fountains, 4 new kiddie rides in 2 years, Spider, Lagoona Beech, etc.

El Toro Media Day...?
Twister II replied to gmoney422's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Probably be pushed back because of rain and mud. If I remember right, before a ride can open, it has to run 200 cycles with out any errors/breakdowns before open to the public. Chances are this would be more since it's a brand new ride. -
I think I know what to get Denis (DenDen) for Christmas.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
Twister II replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Im really surprised no one has thought of a Spinning Wild Mouse! For me, I said, "Hey! Cedar Point doesn't have a wild mouse, or anything like it!" The closest thing to it would be Wildcat. I wouldn't be surprised if that went bye-bye in a few years. Im thinking of something like Winja's from Phantasialand. -

Six Flags 2006 Poster Map Exchange
Twister II replied to GAcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd love a SFMW one! In fact I'd like if anyone has anything other than: SFEG SFMM SFGAdv those are the ones I already have! Remember, SFEG posters are, I guess, my specialty. Since I am, I think, the only one from Colorado doing this! -

Here is another update! Construction is slow, but slow and steady wins the race! Also, new slide parts are on site. The new coaster/area from Legend of the Phoenix. Oh yea, to keep the public's attention, Legend of the Phoenix was build in a hurry! It includes a complete queue theming and temple. Towards the lift area. New construction pic. These purple slide sections are on site. WTF?

A few RCT3 questions.
Twister II replied to Stitch's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
1. When RCT3 and expansions are all installed, it doesn't have to run off of a CD at all! But I suggest after installing a package, do a "Check for Updates". 2. You have to use a video editing program. If you're using a windows computer, you have Windows Movie Maker for free.
