  1. Well, I appreciate all updates as I do not like scouring the net in a million places. However, is the building themed on the side that inside the park?
  2. Tell them I miss them. It's boring working from home now. . .
  3. Weren't they digging a hole or something? Did they stop construction?
  4. Man what??!? Nostalgia for old people?!? Most of their rides are terrible among today's coasters?!? Some of today's coasters cannot hold a candle to some schwarzkopf coasters. How many "todays" coasters have been torn down while parks opt to keep their coasters for "old people" lol? It's not our fault we appreciate and cherish good engineering and well thought out layouts.
  5. This is my final comment. . . Where did I say EVERY RMC is poorly engineered?!? We are discussing one coaster, Lightning Rod. I don't know if you are aware but you are giving more and more reasons why this whole project was a clusterphuck from the beginning. Not sure if you know, but none of what YOU said is normal for a coaster. If something about THIS one coaster causes it to have far more downtime and have to run on a schedule, then it seems to be some engineering issues. Not sure if you are an overly dedicated fanboy or what but when you have to take off trains so the ride can work properly then it's an issue. When you have to retrack virtually the entire ride, and it still isn't working, there's an issue. when you hae to only run it during particular times of the day then there is an issue. And honestly, WTF does a military jet has to do with a roller coaster?!?! Stick to the subject. I am not going to dollywood for a ride on airforce 1 and the only jet I am interested in riding is Jetstream and Top gun - the jet coaster . . .
  6. Let me preface, I love RMC coasters. Now, What was the new territory? All of their coasters have forces, negative and positive so what is so new about this one? They had already did wood on wood, steel on wood, steel on steel so what was the new territory they faced with Lightning Rod? If something is not reliable, it has faults. If it has faults, it's faulty. fault·y /ˈfôltē/ Learn to pronounce adjective working badly or unreliably because of imperfections. "a car with faulty brakes" So, as I was saying. . . Poorly engineered coaster with a faulty launch system.
  7. Exactly! One can argue that SeaWorld is the pet of the busch parks as well, lately, with all of it's upgrades and improvements.
  8. So a poorly engineered coaster with a faulty launch system. . .
  9. I mean, it could be for the kiddies lol lol lol. I am definitely not a fan of them lol.
  10. Weight drop. . . and lap bars only.
  11. At first I was like, someone finally built a real coaster in their backyard lol. Then I saw rampage. . .
  12. Wait, you got harassed. . . do tell. . .
  13. Honestly, yes. I am not saying it is impossible but I know red herrings do exist. So we are considering social media comments confirmation now? I am just asking. . . either way I am ok.
  14. I am confused as to why everyone is dead set this is an RMC knowing that GCI has created their own version of steel track and could very well be overhauling their very first coaster, in every aspect of very first, as they stated the titan track could do inversions and all.
  15. But it fits in what disney is usually inclined to do. Snow white's scary adventure, Mr. toads wild ride, Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye. . .
  16. Don't buy into that. There is always room to expand. but does it make sense to expand when you get a particular demographic is ok with the current offerings?
  17. It can actually be sooner than that, as it states up to 11 years. Guess i need to plan for next year.
  18. If you could do only one, which would it be? Not-So-Scary or Very Merry?
  19. I would def start from back to front. Hit the back two coasters, do some water park activities as soon as they open, then the rest of the park. If it makes it easier, the water coasters have single riders lines.
  20. Where are you getting this stuff from??? The last thing vegas wants to be is the orlando of the west when you have Anaheim AND LA right there. Vegas is doing just fine being Vegas.
  21. The article mentions nothing about ICON park being shut down forever, just the drop tower is closed indefinitely.
  22. Based on what?!?!?!?! All the other successful parks still running there??
  23. Ohhhh. Ok I get it. SO it's not like the typical vote for your fave park type deal. Fair enough. Now Dollywood needs to start moving some ground and make this new coaster happen!
