When hurler first open, shockwave was there, meaning it was 5 inversions in the park. You just can't go around running with these #AlternativeFacts. -

Any chance I'd get to ride joker today? -
Lol, I personally feel the reason each haven't built one are totally different. I think we can see an impulse coaster way before another stand up. It's just other alternatives that can fit in the same space as an impulse coaster that does more now a day. Stand ups have proven over time that they can go to the dark side real quick and even with proper maintenance it will still lead to a not so pleasant ride.

I was skeptical, but when you look into it they're flat out telling us that CGA is getting an Intamin Impulse coaster. They've listed the specs and there are construction markers in the exact spot where the rendering shows it going. It also fits into what they said on the conference call perfectly. I went into detail here. I get it, I definetly get it. But i am wondering how much of that is written in stone and not just a proposal. Remember, the transcript that came about when fury was being pitched to get money from charlotte. It was labeled as a 300 ft winged coaster. If it is intamin, great. But I don't know if I am personally ready to place all my chips on them. Hell, it could turn out to be a skyrocket II, afterall they used a picture of talon to describe a transformed vortex lol. One can argue SFDK has one BUT they also have an intamin impulse as well . . .

Mack was the first manufacturer to come to mind that would deepen the pool, but the quote also mentions that it would be someone they've worked with recently. Those notions seem to contradict each other. Actually, not at all. They have recently worked with both be it flat ride or coaster. But the quote also didn't put a specific time frame on when they last worked with the undisclosed company.

Honestly, if you arrive at opening (on a sunday) and hit volcano first you wont even really need the fast lane. -

Not too familiar with the park but do they do softs? -
I swear i'm gonna catch up before the next trip . . . Well I finally went to knoebels. After always reading about the park and hearing about it from friends I decided to finally experience Knoebels for myself. Did a half day at Dorney so I can take what I THOUGHT was a short ride to Knoebels lol. After google maps taking me on a dead end placed in a very scary spot, I finally made it. Of course I took advantage of the cheaper tickets! Once I pulled up I was like oooookkkkk . . . Then I was like, "where in the hell am I" lol. Then alas! Now i'm getting excited! My first impression of the park, I felt as I have been time warped back to the 70's. All of the retro rides and atmosphere was really nice. First order of business! I liked it. It's not the stand out attraction in the park but a good coaster none the least. After that ride, I had to seek out the reason I was here . . . perogies! I didn't know what the hell a perogie was until reading about them on here. All I know is that I had to have them and I had to get them from here. Man oh man! They were simply delicious. i was tempted to drink the butter but I had to hold my composure lol. My next mission the flyers . . . Every one raves about these flyers. My first flyer experience were the flyers taken from Kings Islands and sent to Carowinds so I guess lucky for me I had some experience with real flyers. HOWEVER, I couldn't seem to get my grove on these. I think it was me though. Moving on to my next mission . . . The infamous flying turns! I have been watching this coaster and awaiting its completion for the last 20 years like the rest of you guys . The day was finally here to experience a one of a kind ride that has been long gone for some time. My first and only ride was in the front (guess cause I was a fat boy) and it seemed more out of control compared to avalanche at Kings Dominion. I would have ridden again but the line, while short, can definitely take some time. Gotta love those classic rides. It seems this park as a lot of my bucket list attractions. Like this one . . . I remember seeing the story on one of those travel channel coaster specials while I was in high school and I really thought nothing of the coaster. As I got older and saw more and more of it, I realized what a gem this coaster was. After waiting a very short time I was on and ready to ride. Man, looks are intimidating! That coaster was flying and never seem to let up. For my first ride, I sat in the "sweet" seat and I was very impressed. I got off and got right back on! I decided to check out the two dark rides the park had to offer. They were both long and had some nice sets, especially the haunted house. Now back to these classic rides . . . As was walking by I noticed the bumper cars, then I noticed them! At first I was like, "is this legal??" lol. What a way to relieve some stress lol. Man, why can't most parks have nice things like this. Oops, almost forgot about twister! Honestly, I never really knew much about Twister but I was soon gonna find out. That was one wild ride. I mean I was being thrown all over the train! It seems as if I were the novice as everyone was ok with throwing their hands up as I held on for deal life. Once getting off and looking at the on-ride photo, There was no way I could not get it lol. After a ride on the drop tower, it was time to go. What I thought was gonna be just a couple hours ended up being an entire evening. Between the food, the rides and atmosphere I must say this now one of my top 5 parks to visit!

Wow how time flys lol. Here we are two years later and by a twist of fate I was able to secure a non-stop round trip flight from ATL to San Antonio for 131.4 so I guess I will be doing the texas trip after all. What im thinking is, since my flight gets in at 9ish 05/18 morning, get the rental and drive the 4 hours to SFoT for half a day at the park. I figure since it's a thursday it shouldn't be that busy so I should be able to get most of not all the coasters. Stay over night in dallas then hit the park again for like 2 hours and head to sea world for the rest of the day (as it seems like a half day park. Looks like I will be spending the day at SFFT that saturday as I would want to do the water park some (im hoping the new water coaster will be open since its the opening day of the water park). I was thinking about veering off for switch back but im not sure of the operating schedule as I type so I would check that later. Any comments, suggestions?
