The Brochure/Map Trade Topic
Reality15 replied to Reality15's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Just got back from a trip to Kings Island, so I grabbed a bunch of Cedar Point brochures, Kings Island maps and brochures, and even some Wildwater Kingdom brochures. I updated my list in the very first post of the thread with what I have to trade. -
The code for an inverted coaster is IC. Look at the tags that were on Patriot at Worlds of Fun. DM is for a dive machine and MC is for a mega/hyper coaster. SC could be either sitting coaster or stand-up coaster (the latter of which is less likely as one hasn't been build since Georgia Scorcher somewhere around 10 years ago), and FC could be either flying coaster or floorless coaster. I couldn't find tags for any of the more recent of those designs, maybe someone else can.

The adventure of Lil' Robby Robb
Reality15 replied to FLIPDUDE's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Tomi, even if it isn't released here in the U.S., this is cool enough most of us (including myself) would probably even pay extra to have it shipped international to us. This is really amazing, keep up the awesome work and good luck! -

If anyone is interested in trading for a Kings Island 2009 map or two, let me know by Friday. I'm headed to the park and can pick up a bunch for trades. My list has been updated, you can find it in the first post of this topic. -
The Brochure/Map Trade Topic

I, too, have been doing a lot of trades the past week. It's really cool to see so many people getting involved in this topic! Here's an updated list of what I have (everything is first-come, first-serve): LIST MOVED TO FIRST POST PM me if you'd like to do a trade. I also just found another two boxes of brochures/maps, mostly from the 90's that I'm going to go through in the next couple of weeks and possibly put some of those up for trade. In addition, I plan on making a trip to Kings Island next weekend so if you're interested in a map, let me know. -Jon "reality15" Roost -

I still have a TON of Cedar Point 2007 (new: Maverick) maps if anyone's interested in them. -
TPR PENS! (Yes, pens!)
Reality15 replied to Crazy4Coasters!'s topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Fun fact: A bunch of the rides at Michigan's Adventure have TPR pens in the clipboards we use to do paperwork. I think I started out with 10 of them at the beginning of the season, and now I have none because they usually got left in whatever ride I was working that day. -
Big Mike, Lovin' the "Today in Big Mike History" updates! Very "retro". Looks like I'll have to forgo meeting up with you in Michigan and instead have to find a way to hang out with you when you make the trip to Florida, I was accepted today into the college program and will be working Attractions. Hope to see you down there sometime this fall, big guy! Keep charmin' the ladies, you'll get somewhere with it eventually. -Jon

TPR TV or CoasterTube
Reality15 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The new upload that I did about 30 minutes ago and got stuck. It doesn't work when I go to my profile, but when you go to that page it works. So I guess problem somewhat solved? -
TPR TV or CoasterTube
Reality15 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Alright, I just uploaded the file again and it's once again stopped in the same place. I'm stuck on the "Upload a new video" page, and it's making everything else on the site except the forums so they don't load. There's only this video on my account, so it's easy to find. -

Reality15 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hey Robb, still having issues uploading a video. It's in AVI format and it allows me to upload the file, but then goes nowhere when it hits 100% of the file uploaded. -
I had to staple nearly all of the Detroit Pistons into Maverick at Cedar Point in '07. A few of them wouldn't even fit after being stapled. I also saw Tim Allen in '07 at the Point while working Maverick, and then last year at Michigan's Adventure while working Timbers. There were a few at Disney World back in 2006, but I can't remember who it was. A few friends of mine pointed them out, but I didn't recognize the celebs. Oh well.

Photo TR: Off-Season Aerial Shots over Cedar Point!
Reality15 replied to bgroodog's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Hahahahaha, first of all, contracts like this don't exist. Second, Kinzel has said there will be no pre-fabs at the Point already, if I remember correctly it was at Coastermania. Great pictures, however. Looks like they're starting to get things ready to go for opening day! -
I actually watch the footage disk much more often than the expedition disk. Unfortunately I haven't had the finances to spend some money on getting anything since the UK trip DVD, otherwise RAW would be a great addition to my collection. The reason being is that I use the TPR DVDs as a way to advertise trips to my fiance before we go. Her not being big on the whole coaster scene, it makes it nice that she can see some of the rides before we get to the park. But don't let my opinion deter you from doing the DVDs the way they've been for a long time. There's nothing like curling up in the middle of winter and watching the old Expedition disks for a good laugh. I think the combination of expedition and footage disks is great (and for those that have it, the video competition disks too!). My two cents... which is worth 1.96 yen if you're Japanese.

I had the pleasure of going there back in 2006. I actually really liked the park, it was quirky in its own way and a lot of fun. I'm sad to see it going, I was hoping to get around to visiting again to take a spin on some of the rides. I'll upload the video I took to CoasterTube sometime soon, it has POVs of both of the big coasters as well as videos of some of the other rides.

The Brochure/Map Trade Topic
Reality15 replied to Reality15's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Sexual favors? If so I know a twin from Alabama who might be interested... Haha, not quite that far. I meant trade for other brochure/maps. -
Hello all, I did a search for brochures and maps on the forums, and found a topic from a few years ago where users could exchange 2006 Six Flags giant maps for each other. I figured, since I have a collection of over 2,000 brochures and maps, why not find a way to share them with those who might be interested? That's what this trade topic is for. If you have park maps or brochures that you're willing to part with, maybe you could find someone here that's interested in it. Instead of trying to sell it on eBay and hope that an enthusiast finds it, here's the biggest and greatest fanbase right here. So yeah. Hope people find this topic helpful! Go ahead and trade away! ========================= ========================= Available from Jon "reality15" Roost's Collection: I'm finally getting around to getting my brochure/map collection out and organized again after moving several times over the past year, and so far I've uncovered my Cedar Fair collection. Michigan's Adventure has the highest growing attendance in the entire chain. Not too many years ago they were doing around 400,000 people per year, and now they're reported to be around 750,000. Considering the small amount of capital that has been put into the park compared to other Cedar Fair parks in that time frame, I think that's a pretty good reason to keep it around.

Disneyland: The Long Version
Reality15 replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Great video, Erik. For those of us that may never have the chance to travel that far to visit Disneyland it gives us a great tour of the park. Again, great job.
