  1. That is a slick looking panel right there. VERY Clean. Love it. -=CoasterBP
  2. This sounds like a good idea! Keep us informed! -=CoasterBP
  3. Brian, theses are completely cool. Thanks for sharing them. Did you guys get my email? I see "Maintenance Bypass" on all Consign panels... trying to figure out what that does?... -=CoasterBP
  4. Brian -- feel free to post as many as you can! I love checking these out. When you worked at Consign, did another company fabricate your panels for you, or were those done in house? How about now at IOE? -=CoasterBP
  5. I don't think that they are unreliable... in fact, there's no moving parts at all, unlike a cable and catch car system.... LSM's in THIS case are probably more reliable than a cable system, IMHO... -=CoasterBP
  6. I've been several times... While it's not the "best. park. eva.", I still have a good time. Speaking of, I might be heading that way next weekend, on Sun the 19th... how have the crowds been on the weekends in Jan? I know that Monday is a holiday, so we won't be going then, but curious as to how Sunday might be. Thanks! -=CoasterBP
  7. According to Tony Clark via Screamscape, Skyhawk is waiting on a part from S&S. They hope to have it up and running.... "soon". -=CoasterBP
  8. I believe that they do all stop because *I BELIEVE* that they are not typical lift chains, but operate like the lift hills on Intamin Zac-Spins where there is NOT a dog/pawl on the train that engages the lift. But rather there is a mechanism on the chain that pushes the train up the lift from behind. If you watch the videos of the chains on the lifts, you see that they slowly jog until it detects that the mechanism is actually engaging the train, then it speeds up. I *BELIEVE* this is the case with Gertslauer lifts. I'm almost POSITIVE that the Zac-Spin lifts work this way. I'd bet a certain amount of money on it. -=CoasterBP
  9. Dragster isn't open for Early Entry. So I would head to Gatekeeper of MF first. Dragster opens at 10am. -=CoasterBP
  10. I grey out on MF's first overbank sometimes as well. Since a few years ago, Gemini doesn't race both tracks unless it's busy. So right now, before the summer crowds hit, it only races on weekends. -=CoasterBP
  11. I think the reason that some people "hate" on Wingriders, is that they are going into the experience with the wrong idea. Like most people said above me, from what I can gather, the experience of a Wingrider isn't about tons of forces and mind numbing amount of inversions. It's a about the visuals, smoothness and the feeling that you are flying. I've only ridden Gatekeeper, so I can't comment on other Wingriders. But I will say, that after my first ride on Gatekeeper, I was just SLIGHTLY underwhelmed by the experience. But I still enjoyed it. I did ride it three more times, all in different seats and after each ride, it grew on me. I put aside my assumptions that it was going to be a white knuckle, hold onto your ass, thrill ride and accepted it for an incredibly engineered "flying machine" (for lack of a better description....) It's a fun ride, but I doubt that they will be topping the lists of many enthusiasts for their favorite ride. But to each their own. Not every ride has to be a white knuckle thrill ride, which make this a great addition both for Cedar Point and for B&Ms' portfolio. It offers a sensation that can't be found anywhere else in the park. And as for the vests, during the ride, I found them to be incredibly comfortable, which adds to the whole experience, but sitting on the brake runs, you do notice how much they have tightened up during the ride and for that reason, I wouldn't be able to marathon this ride more than say, 4 or 5 times in a row... -=CoasterBP
  12. Done! Pledged at the $50 level. This is looking to be a fantastic game.... very much looking forward to it coming out!!!
  13. ^ Really? I've always thought Raptor to be OVER rated, but that's probably because for quite a long time, I had Montu a short 45 minute ride from home... I don't DISLIKE Raptor, but I never understood all the love for it. I think that there are better inverts around. But again, we all know what opinions are like... -=CoasterBP
  14. To be completely honest, as much as I like to use Fastpass at the parks, Indy's queue is just a disaster with them trying to shoehorn FP into it. The temple entrance is the biggest problem, with it only being wide enough for one line. Even sending FP down the exit queue wouldn't work because it gets too narrow at times and I doubt that WDI would allow them to do it that way since you wouldn't be entering through the temple. If they don't want to spend the money to do it right and redo the first 75% of the queue, the should just get ride of FP at Indy altogether. It's one queue I wouldn't mind waiting in a regular line for as it's one of the most detailed, in my opinion. -=CoasterBP
  15. I'm going to say mine was Batman at SFGAdv. 1992? 93? Somewhere in there. -=CoasterBP
  16. They won't relocate any rides into where Wildcat was. The MAIN reason that Wildcat was removed is to make more room for Luminosity viewing. Don't be surprised if in the off season you see the control booth and such pushed back into that area....
  17. Just because it's one lift doesn't mean that it can't be more than one block. When I worked WDW's Space Mountain, (before the latest ride system upgrade), the main lift was actually 4 zones. (although you would never have more than 2 trains on it.) So it is possible to have more than one block located on one lift. -=CoasterBP
  18. Probably not using any sort of generator in the wheels to power the LEDs. Typically, there are batteries (or a capacitor bank) located in the zero car that get charged at the load/unload area. The Hulk Coaster at IOA used to have small strobes throughout the train. They looked awesome at night. And HRRR has an incredible LED display as well on its trains. Here's a link to the company that was responsible for the onboard audio/lighting. Show Systems Intergrators -=CoasterBP
  19. My wife and I will be arriving on Sunday, the 13th, staying for a week at Breakers. We will be staying through the ACE Spring Conference till the 21st. We might be swinging a quick trip out to Kennywood during the week as well. Hoping the rain stays away this year! -=CoasterBP
  20. As someone that lives in Las Vegas and works about 3 minutes from this location, I'm VERY curious to see how this pans out. If the plans call for it to be open by the end of Sept, they had better get to building QUICK. Many seasonal haunts that open by the end of Sept are ALREADY in build mode by now.... I'm more curious as the WHERE exactly this thing is going.... The only thing that's around that area is the Miracle Mile shops, I believe.... I'll keep my eyes posted and will take pictures as I see stuff popping up. -=CoasterBP
  21. I, much like most others, am sad to see Wildcat go. It was a fun little ride, that normally didn't have a huge line. Good starter coaster for the kids. It IS interesting though, how this came about so suddenly. I bet there is more to this story than we will ever know. Hopefully, next year, we will get an attraction that will bring some thrill back into the park. I know every year can't be a coaster or a record breaker, but at least for ME, the last couple of additions have been a little underwhelming and not up my alley... (Still don't know why this park doesn't have ONE dark ride.... and no Disaster Transport doesn't count.) -=CoasterBP
  22. Do we know the manufacturer of this coaster? I can't find info on it anywhere. Is it Vekoma? (I would assume so....) -=CoasterBP
  23. What, you can't have a floorless and a stand-up coaster in the same park?
