Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
dammie16@vt.edu replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I like the watersplash off the ride, not on. And I received no airtime anywhere on those hills. I am not saying DB sucked just the end, I still rated it 10/10 on CF! And i may be the 1/10 but this is my opinion not fact, i don't have to like what everyone else likes, and so far my opinions have caused the most problems because they are different lol EDIT: I will also add for those who think i should only be putting crappy coasters on this list. Here is where these rank in my top 25 coasters. 4. Alpengeist 8. DB And I am done defending my list and am done stating which coaster endings are bad for good lol since I am not with the crowd and take too much ridicule! -

So when I got my new car last month I decided that it would be the star of my PTR's. The license plate is DAMIN8R and they don't say mini's drive they say they motor thus the title of the topic So I have been to KI and CP with my Mini but I haven't taken photos of either. I was too angry when I left KI but that is another story and I live so close to CP that I will get around to doing it eventually lol SO to start out I captured the fun I had at Waldameer! This park reminded me a lot of Knoebels except it was closer to civilization. The atmoshpere was great and very family oriented. A group of older folks (28-35 ish) actually got thrown out because they kept shouting "You're gay, and You're a Homo" off the mega vortex to their friends. I was glad to see they took the family atmosphere rules seriously! As far as rides they were all great! The only problem I had with this park was the operators. Except for the Ravine Flyer crew the operators couldn't seem to care less about life. I understand it is a mundane job but it is also your job to lie and be friendly to your customers! It was more of a "Get on, buckle in.....Welcome back, unbuckle get off" attitude. Now about RFII.......WOW this coaster is beastly. Very smooth and very fast. I have also never seen a ride that had such a drastic personality change after dark. It was absolutely insane at night. All in all it was a fun day. Here are some photos! Broken up into two posts the second post will be the rapid fire series of RFII. And in the end the DAMIN8R gets his first TPR Photo Trip report credit and his third park credit! THIS IS THE FREAKING COOLEST TUNNEL EVER. Seriously this log flume is my favorite of the generic log flumes because of this tunnel. He is so happy because water makes for amazing rapid fire lol Here are two rapid fire Log flume shots! I like this it was a lot of fun, Knoebels is still better though! Good old fashioned fun house! This, for being short, is a lot of fun! The best part is all the people think, since they know it goes right when it gets to the top, they will know get on and look up only to see they can't see the top with the wing that sticks out! LMAO We spun a lot too because I was always a single rider lol It was fun but not great. Steel Dragon my first spinning coaster of this type. Because you have a great ride but you lose your balls LOL I have decided to rename this ride to Marriage: The Experience. We made it! I see the light at the end of the tunnel, to quote Family Guy, "OH NO! I knoooow!" Willy Wonka's Boat Ride!!! The train has a tunnel and due to bulb on my camera I turned it into... This shot makes me dizzy lol Nerd shot? I like to think so. Upskirt Lift Hill! There was some great airtime on these babies. Right before and after NINETY DEGREEEES!!! Rumor has it Ravine Flyer III is an aquatrax and here is proof. That is my last Aquatrax joke I promise! Ferris Wheel upskirt through the trees! AND AN AQUATRAX!! OMG THEY ARE GETTING A NEW GCI OR GG WOODIE!!! This had some good speed I can't imagine the famous fat TPR train load lol Double Decker! I didn't really fit lol Then I got on the train to get more "behind the scenes" photos And got a new Angus burger, and was surprised at how good it was! Then i stopped off at a TPR favorite And yes I know that had nothing to do with the last picture lol Side note I kept yelling Ninety degrees on the ride and people kept looking at me funny lol Looking back from this spot Behind the SCEEENNNEESS I trekked ALL the way down this hill for you guys! I like this photo a lot too! another view Sexy curves Up close and personal! The steel structure for a wooden coaster was kinda awesome! Upskirt, i see london! This lot lets you get some great views of the Second drop. Overflow lot! AND it is blue, no it is not sad it is inanimate sheesh... Best road ever So...many...pics...through the trees... This is my favorite picture of all the ones I took! This is the ultimate TPR cliche photo. You have the mandatory sign shot and lift hill shot THROUGH THE TREES. My browser just imploded! Thanks to these guys for their awesome parking lot that has a view of coasters! Sign, welcome!

Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"

What's wrong with Alpengeist's ending? The ending helix is kinda slow and boring, if you count the first helix too then it is half good. -
Just got back from Orphan, was really excited because it was supposed to have a great twist and since I am fairly good at predicting movies I love when they have twists I can't see coming! Needless to say I guessed it about 15 minutes in, or basically after the first scene they meet Esther. The movie was good until they reveal the secret and then it turned into cliche horror crap, knives and dark houses, and flashlights etc. 7/10

No they don't Disaster Transport is an indoor Coaster, not a dark ride. If there is another one please inform me and I will humbly apologize. -
I searched around and found out no one had started one of these, how crazy! Just discuss wines here, what do you like? With what food? Where do you do tastings? Last wine you drank? When did you start? How did you get into it? etc! I got into wine in jan. by taking a class called Geog. of Wine at Va. Tech and in town we had a wine shop that did free tastings on Sat.! I personally love a good dry red wine with earthy flavors. The best wine I ever had was a Chianti Reserve from italy. My favorite White was a bottle of Sauternes I got my hands on which was like sex in a glass as far as dessert wines go it will NEVER be beaten lol. I recently just hit up the local vineyard of Paper Moon here in N. Ohio and they had some excellent wines i bought a bottle of Sangiovese that pretty much tasted like dirt and it was awesome! I also bought a bottle of their dry Chardonney because that pretty much goes with anything! Other good wines I have had that rank hi on my list. Garnacha de Fuego - GREAT with tacos Burgundy Red - Don't remember the maker though German Reserve Riesling - Again no Maker sorry! Chateau O'Brien Reserve Vine Merlot from VA. - I was so sad i couldn't buy a bottle! EDIT: ***DO NOT POST ABOUT ILLEGAL UNDERAGE DRINKING*** I should've had that to begin with lol

I have always said the three things CP is missing before I can call it a complete park. 1. Good Wood 2. A FREAKING DARK RIDE HELLOOO!!!! 3. Log Flume (OK so I didn't always say always for this but they still need one) The wooden coaster wood (hehe) be called arachnaphobia (SP?) -

The problem is there is a lift already in the beginning, if there was NO lift then I wouldn't put it on there. But I do agree the ride is awesome otherwise my fav. thing about VMT's is getting thrown around in direction changes -

Here is my 1 month old Mini Cooper. It is a six speed automatic, got a sports button to tighten steering and allow for shifting on the paddles on the wheel. I-4 Cylinder engine, heated seats and Windshield wipers, all season tires and other stuff! MPG 35/42 License Plate - DAMIN8R (My last name is Damm) Here is some pics! Odometer and Radio display. The speed reads out digitally behind the steering wheel. here is the key the actual key is just a backup it is a push button start when teh round end is put into the car. The key meanwhile hides secret agent style inside the remote/starter "key" If you want a size reference for this car I am 6'3" and have about a 6' wingspan -

No because the 80 foot drop is not that intense. If I was still into the ride that drop would be fun but I am so bored after the first inversion that it has no effect. Had they made it an 80 foot drop into a helix then I would say the end was good. -
Band geek galore here. In HS I did Concert, Jazz and pit Orchestra all on Trumpet I also played Concert and Jazz band in middle and Elementary school too. Play Drums in a Bagpipe band since I was 5 and havent played in a year or so since I moved around a lot. Played in a concert band Freshemen year of College but not the Marching Band because they were so awful. Now about marching band! 3 years in HS here are the shows we did. Chuck Mangione - Simple Jazzy show with some added flair. We didn't do too much special in this show but the End was pretty raw power! Newsies - Fun show with a great story, really good for our color guard. I also had a small solo in a trio setting which was a lot of fun cus it was just rocking out by ourselves with a lot of lee way on what we played. Rise and Fall of Rome - BY FAR the best show we did, we were undefeated with it until finals. The First Trumpets were one of the 2 best sections (our snares were amazing) and we had a sick part for the four of us. by this point we all had some decent range too and played around with the octaves in the show. We changed the ending to a sick ascending chord with progressively higher notes C to E to G, first above the staff. I also made it through 9 camps for the Crossmen but got cut in the end that was in 2006 when they did the Cruisin show and before they moved to Texas. I won't get into DCI here or I'll be typing for another 3 hours but GO CADETS I hope they over take BD this year but BD's show is REALLY REALLY GOOD. Also a big welcome back to SCV who are playing my all time favorite song appalachian spring and MAN do they have power but no "Vanguard" break or V in the cymbals but oh well...

Go Yankees, That is all Ok not really I was really excited when they signed Tex this year because he was the missing piece on defense which is oftne a very underated quality of importance to fans. Look at the yankees D this year it has improved 1000 times! Also the fact that they realized their pitching sucked and went to the good old Yankees method of buying championships! I hate when they do this but I also Like when they win so I won't complain too much Other teams that impress right now are the W. Sox, man their pitching is phenominal right now, and unfortunetely the **** Sox too because they have been lighting it up lately much to my disapprovel -
I didnt know they'd released this you are amazing for posting this! Oh and i am kinda excited for that new Avenged CD as well

Good Endings Millenium Force - SPEED! Maverick - Sharp Turns into a surprise airtime hill! Mystery Mine! Apollo's Chariot - SURPRISE! Dominator - HELIX! Blazing Fury - SPLOOSH! Bad Endings Diamondback - SLOW helix into a lame airtimeless splashdown and brakes Splashdowns look cool from the outside but I want to enjoy the ride while I am on it thank you! Alpengeist - Umm what were they thinking on that one? Adventure Express - the reason has been given enough Volcano - The end starts after the first slow inversion then I sit for the rest of the ride wondering if I am having deja vu because the same thing is happening over and over and over and over and ov.... Any other ride with a lift hill at the end! -
Currently on the second Harry Potter book trying to re-read them in an effort to regain the book knowledge I realized I forgot when i saw the 6th movie. Inbtween those books I will be reading It, The sword of truth series, Game of Thrones, and other books! Recent less known book I read that I HIGHLY recommend The Strain by Guillermo Del Toro It is a vampire/zombie novle, first of 3 and it is REALLY good. I pays tribute to all the greats and never in a horror novel have I had my adrenaline pumping in suspense so much! He writes (or Chuck Hogan does) some scenes so well that I can picture it as it would be in a movie and they are CREEEEEPPPPYYY. I had an case where I was reading a very tense scene where a guy was in a house and he heard some noises from behind him and my phone rang and scared the poop outta me. And I have only ever jumped at like 3 movies. So def. recommend that. Oh and I am just gonna throw my hate at the Twilight series, I suffered my a** off just to finish them so I could talk crap about them legimtametely lol
