  1. Ok… This is the first part in my long Midwest Coaster Trek Trip Report… At first I was going to post it all at once….. But as for now its 35 pages long in MSWord…. And im still not done… So I'm just going to post it day by day…… Ok so…. I got up in Boston on June 4th and flew down to Memphis… Hung around the start up point... Watched a movie ate some food… and then went to the first park of the trip. Day 1(the 4th) - Libertyland - Memphis Tennessee Got to the park around 5.30pm on the 4th. The park looked nice but small and it didn't look like that many people were at it… So lines shouldn't be too long. The first thing I went to was Zippin Pippin. They did not let you wait for a row so I ended up getting the front row of the back car. Zippin Pippin... Type - Wood. Year - 1923. Kind - Out-n-Back The ride starts out with a turn from the station then to the lift hill. After the lift hill it makes a turn and goes down the first drop. The drop is ok but not that great. Then it comes up and makes a turn and starts to head out along side the parking lot. Then after a few more hills turns around and heads back to the station. The ride has a lot of air time and was a very fun ride. After that I went down passing a few flat rides and headed to the Revolution. A steel looping coaster in the back of the park. This ride also didn't let you wait for a row. So I let people pass me till the train was full. So I could get a front row seat. Revolution Type - Steel Year - 1979 Kind - Corkscrew with loop. This is just and Arrow corkscrew that has a vertical loop in it. Just like Steamin' Demon at The Great Escape. The ride didn't bang your head that much. So I guess it was ok. But it's just a little corkscrew so whatever. After that I walked around the park and took some photos. I found the parks last coaster..... The Dragon Wagon.... They wouldn't let you on this coaster unless you had a kid... So after I bugged the ride op... Saying how I came from Boston and that I was in ace and stuff like that..... She still wouldn't let me on.... So then I did a very dirty thing.... I said "I'll give you $1.00!" and she was still all "I aint want ya money"...So then me being a loser I said... I'll give you $20!" and she was all "OK!! ! " So I got on... or tried to.... Dragon Wagon Type - Steel Year - ?? Kind - Kiddie. Yeah... So I get to the train and find out I didn't fit in....So... I sat on my knees sideways on the floor... still not on the seat... Or with the seatbelt on... but I was "in"... The ride started... and went around 3 or 4 times. I was holding my cam in one hand and myself in with the other... YAY!!!! I GOT THE DRAGON WAGON! ! ! ! ! ! .........yup... So after doing that I went over to the Paratrooper ride. It was loading so I got in line... Then it went down and they took everyone off... So I went down to the looping ship ride. I got on and took my ride. The kid in back of me on the ride kept screaming "SHUT YO ASS UP SHUT YO ASS UP!" and "MY ASS OUT THE SEAT! MY ASS OUT THE SEAT!" the full ride. I guess he was yelling at the girls in back of him. After that I went over and got one more ride on Pippin. This time I was also in the back seat. It was still a fun ride. After that I went to the end of the park where the little freefall tower was. Rebellion is the parks 90 foot tall Fabbri tower. I took 3 laps on the ride. It might be short but the drop on it is better then some S&S towers I have been on.... Yeah so after that it was almost time to go. So I went back down to pippin and this time they were letting people wait for a row. So I took the front seat on it. After that I went back to the tower and got in line. But the ride closed as I was in line. And for some reason this park doesn't do the "If you're in line you ride" rule most parks have... So when the park closed... They just told everyone to get out of line...... Yeah so that was my day at Libertyland. Overall the park is nice and has a few good rides. Zippin Pippin is the best ride in the park and I think it's very under rated for being the 2nd oldest coaster in the US. The park seems to be doing ok but also seems to be somewhat poor. If you were in the area I would say go to the park. But I don't think I would go out of my way for it. The turn around on Pippen The first drop on Rev Dragon Wagon POV! One of the many odd trashcans in the park.. The cool drop tower...
  2. High Speed Thrill COaster my 259th coaster... 2 days ago
  3. OK....LOOPER IS THE RIDES NAME!!! NOT A ROLLERCOASTER! /slap The ride also goes by "Rock N Roll" and the one the park has now is the one I use to ride every summer at Whalom! (the not so ghetto park TPE thinks was ghetto)
  4. Knoebels last night... ""Canobie "I left at 11pm and drove home that night getting back at 7am today" Fan""
  5. The parks I have been to the way I went to them.... Just in 2005...(Not EVERY park I have been to..). SFNE Canobie Lake Park Martin's Fantasy Island SFDL Sylvan Beach Rye Playland Jeepers WN (NY) Sports Plus Boomers Family Fun Center Adventureland Long Island Libertyland SFKK Holiday World PKI IN Beach MIAdvanture SFGam Mt Olympus Riverview and Water World TimberFalls SFStl Silver Dollar City Celebration City Storyland Six Gun CIty Santas Village Canobie Lake Park Canobie Lake Park And Im going to Knoebels in a few hours... and then next week im going to HP DP and SFGAdv.... woooo
  6. New for 2005 rides I have been on this year are...Powder Keg... Italian job Stunt Track.... Hades...Gold Rush Express...Orient Express(riverview).... And Mr Six. (im going on Hydra next week.. And ill see a closed KK too) Of the ones I have been on I would say Hades was the best but even that could have been better . Powderkeg would have been better if it didnt stop so hard for the lifthill.. and if it did more after the lifthill.. IJST SUCKED... I hated it. Goldrush is just a little kiddie as with Orient Express.... And then MrSix was just the biggest "POS" ever....
  7. Last Coaster I went on was a Dragon Wagon at some random fair... (didnt count it) Next Coaster I ride... High Speed Thrill Coaster (5 days from now)... never been on it
  8. The old "bag" style cars were only at CP KBF and SFMM. All the newer ones use the "togo"ish system. (cp and kbf took the rides down after what happened at CP.. and sfmm changed the car)
  9. I have been on Many skycoasters 3 Sling shots 3 different types of boosters... im going to ride my first S&S Swing and S&S SkySLing this summer (DP and GAdv) I saw SCAD go once when in WI and really wanted to try it.. But not for $50.00....... I really like Sling Shots... The best one I have been on is Pratters 310+ footer... So much fun..... #2 would have to be the FunTime rides booster.... WAY better then the sky scraper.
  10. Yeah who could hate SFNE ( ) ""Canobie (also goes by sfne stinks) Fan ""
  11. Last coaster I went on - July 3rd Canobie Corkscrew Last coaster added to count - June 26th Gold Rush Express (2) #256
  12. First off.. I hated HyperSonic as its a "POS" but as parks alone I have a better time at PKD then I do at IOA. All I liked a IOA was dragons... Hulk just didnt seem to great.. Oh Boy! 5 to 40 (35MPH LAUNCH!!!11!!!) in 5 secs... YAY!!!!! Doom is right up with HWs S&S tower for tamest tower ever.... As for spiderman.. As I never watched superhero stuff I didnt get it.. to me it was "oh.. thats a blue guy... oh no.. water... oh a yellow girl oh no.. .fire" IOA does have nice water rides.... I guess But for its price I dont think its worth it.
  13. I dont like SFDL. I went in 99 and then in 05.... I hate the park because it could be such a great place with just a few more rides and if SF put some money into it.... In my 05 vist 3 coasters were closed... and 10 flats were......
  14. CP - Overrated park with not much to do but coasters.... And even most of them are not that good.. IOA - Small park with al lof 15 rides... Who the hell wants to pay $50 for 15 rides! I have been to both parks many many times and just dont see whats so great about them.... SFGam, PKD, SDC all better parks then both IOA and CP.....
  15. AA in GA... has a tilt Lake Winnie has a Tilt and Round Up SFA Has a tilt and round up Canobie Lake has a tilt and round up Whalom had both but its closed... Palace Playland has a tilt Magic Forest NY has a tilt Holiday world has a tilt and round up Riverview WI has a tilt I think CelCity in branson had a Tilt Most of the fairs in New England have tilts and round ups.
  16. I went on the Star Flyer at Prater Park in spring 2004. Its a really fun ride.. But that one you guys went to looks like it has 2 people seats.. The Prater one is only solo seats.
  17. DejaVu was a WALK ON! It had no line at all.. I walked right up into the station and sat down in the front row.
  18. I was at SFGAm June 9th.... DejaVu was open... So I went to that first. Iron Wolf I went to next its in the back so it was a walk on... 2 trains Spacly I hit next as its next to Wolf it was 1 train wait I went to V2 next waited 9 loads for a front row... BTR I did next... It had 2 trains but was one of the longer lines.... After that I did the POS Mouse... It was running 4 cars but didnt have to long of a line. SUF had 2 trains going... And the line moved fast even if it was a bit long... Whizzer was only useing 2 ttrains. But the line was only in the station Viper had 2 trains and the line was just in the station. Bull had the most people in line.. But the line moved very fast as it ran all 3 trains Demon had 2 trains and the line was just in the station... AE Backwards just had 1 trains... so the line was longer then it should be... AE Forward had 2 trains going.. but it wasnt always raceing with backwards. I also had time to reride IronWolf and dejavu.. And then also ride both tower rides and the frisbee
  19. I have been on.... SUF - SFOG and SFGam Borg X-Flight Batwing SuperFlight and... Volare..... Batwing and Borg are by far the best.... the B&M and Zamp flyers suck ass...
  20. What loser would pay $20.00 for a Dragon Wagon....... As for LibLands little drop tower.. Its short but It was fun.
  21. Ozark Wildcat at Celebration City became my 255th coaster on sunday. :o
  22. I had a lot of fun on Avalanche and Hades... The 18+ rule isnt used... as my 17 year old friend went on it with me 2 times in the back back row with the seatbelt 100% slacked.... yay for getting a kid to ride Lil-T with me
  23. The photo of the slide that was posted comes from some thrill ride book thing. On ThrillNetwork they have had a topic about this slide going on for the last............ 5 years.... lol
