  1. Every time we get the cliche "kidz jus don wanna wurk anymorr" argument, I'll always link the post I made a while back outlining all of the statistics about WHY kids aren't working anymore. From the article in the post: If anything, in the years since that post was made, it's only become MORE difficult for kids as the cost of college continues to skyrocket. There were lazy kids back then (I worked along side plenty of them), and there are lazy kids now. But you gotta look at the macro level and step away from the personal anecdotes when trying to assess contributing factors to large-scale issues.

  2. They sent a few test cycles on Xcel today right after the park opened.

  3. Have you considered that perhaps the problem isn't that "theme park ppl" are paid too much, but rather that entry level "corporate jobs" (along with everyone) aren't paid enough and CEOs and other executives are paid too much?

  4. Hmmmmm, interesting and good to know. CoasterStock certainly was his personal baby. I remember the first one we went to he was hanging around the entrance to the Beast toward the end of the night, around midnight, and casually asking us all how we liked it, what could be better, any suggestions, etc., etc. Too bad because it really was an awesome event.

  5. ^ I asked that question when I was at the park in August. I was told he left by his own choice. I also got the comment that Coasterstock is very doubtful. in the future. He was a big part of that. He's recently been posting on Twitter. Nothing so far about the merger. I don't think he knew about this it that far in advance. He wasn't that "high up" to be privy to that.. Although, I'm sure it was in the works then. This has got to be one of the biggest well kept secrets...

  6. I look at it as losing a flavor. You had Coca-Cola and Pepsi. Now, you just poured both drinks into one glass. So what does that do for the people who love Coca-Cola, but didn't really like Pepsi? Now, you can't have Coca-Cola without tasting Pepsi.

  7. Visited the yearly book fair in Gothenburg last weekend (when I also took the latest photos of Liseberg) and I found this book at one of the exhibitors: They have it available in both Swedish and English if someone is interested. It's almost 2kg of the history of Liseberg /// Marcus
