The return of CHASER LIGHTS? One can only hope that is what this means --- other updates are more subtle but meaningful: The park has restored details on classic attractions, including ongoing work on the carousel and plans to enhance the Screamin’ Eagle this year with new lighting and anniversary touches that will let riders experience the coaster after dark, much like when it first opened. https://www.stlmag.com/family/final-summer-six-flags-st-louis/2 points

this honestly has not much to do with the merger. he's taking personal time, and it's his choice to step away. he told me it's an amicable split, and referred to this as a "pause in his career" and that he'll be back in the industry in some form after a break. (and yes, I believe him because he did tell me more details that aren't for public consumption).2 points

Well ACE events are big enough changing plans even a year out is something they don't want to do. Yes all three parks are still taking part in the ACE event - ours will just do it under its new name.1 point

I understand if you aren't normally much of a waterpark person BUT if there was ever a waterpark you would be willing to visit this is one of the best ones outside of Disney and Universal, the 3 water coasters are outstanding.1 point

Handcuffing the (arguably) most sought after roller coaster in the park to the only required paid lockers is certainly a choice. On one hand, I'm for Iron Gwazi requiring lockers, because of my four rides on it last week, I still witnessed someone losing a cherished bracelet on it. On the other hand, if everyone in your party wants to ride the ride, it turns into an up-charge attraction in my eyes. Really wish they sought a free small items locker system like other parks have been doing. Apart from that, it was an excellent week for the park last week. I had a 5 hour window to enjoy the park before flying home the same day on Thursday. This was the lightest crowd I've ever experienced in all my years of visiting. I had in-station waits for the vast majority of rides. One train ops for Sheikra with about three cycles of waiting before I rode, two train ops for Cheetah Hunt with similar amount of cycles per train. Iron Gwazi was a walk-on as I left the park around 2:30-3pm to head to the airport. Serengeti Flyer was new for me, and I had not before gotten to try any of the more modern Screamin' Swings yet. Compared to trying Kennywood's last summer, this was very pleasantly quiet and waaaaay bigger than I was expecting. Excellent swing, beautiful breeze, and very very fun out of your seat airtime. Tiny seats are still awkward, but it's okay. Phoenix Rising was way more fun than I expected. I was assigned last row for my first lap, then I did another lap and they let anyone choose since the line was short so I rode front. Great family coaster either way, extremely rerideable while still being fun which is a huge bonus for me. And very appreciative of the lack of comfort collars on Tigris. Wasn't a huge issue for me with them, but it's significantly improved without them. Both Cobra's Curse and Montu were down for the day, or at least while I was at the park, and Falcon's Fury is undergoing maintenance, I guess? The website never mentioned, or I missed that info.1 point

Keeping WB was always a pipe dream. The only thing I could see is a targeted Loony Tunes-only license. And only because Cedar Flags might decide they want to use Peanuts as the sole kids IPs. Alternatively they make a deal to sell the Peanuts license to Enchanted. It truly doesn’t make sense for Cedar Flags to have both. That’s the part of the merger that’s always been a question mark IMO. It doesn’t make sense to have both.1 point

It's really going to be funny if Mid-America, Worlds of Fun and Valleyfair end up growing faster than the lower tier parks remaining in the Six Flags chain.1 point

I've had the best experiences going straight back to Voyage and Thunderbird then working my way up. Raven and Legend are almost always walk on in the early afternoon. I'd usually go Voyage, Gobbler Getaway, Thunderbird, Crows Nest, Voyage again, Thanksgiving meal at Plymouth Rock Cafe. Then from there I'd head up front and do Halloween and 4th of July1 point

Typically at opening the front half of the park can be busy as people stop and ride rides killing time until the WP opens, and when it does the lines disappear and typically are decent until the WP closes and then they can get long until closing. One year me and my sons skipped the waterpark and just did the dry side and we rode the whitewater rapids ride and I rode the rollercoasters probably 10+ times. Everything was almost a walk on once the crowd migrated to the waterpark.1 point

So disappointed to see the news of restructuring (again) and the return of park presidents to some of the big parks (SFOG & SFOT included) but absolutely crushed to hear that Six Flags and Jeffrey Siebert have parted ways. A huge loss to Six Flags regardless on which side the separation initiated from He did SO much to improve not only SFFT in his years there as park president - but so much to improve the regional properties in the past year he will be truly missed and I wish him the best in future endeavors0 points
