Are you really making the claim that the park knew the ride was structurally compromised yet ran it with riders anyway? We're really doing that? Please, PLEASE let us know how you are so sure about that. I'm not talking about what you THINK happened behind the scenes, I want to know how YOU KNOW that is what happened. And before anyone comes at me thinking I'm rushing to Six Flags and/or Intamins defense for anything at all related to this - I'm just allergic to bullshit and the people who spew it.3 points

Would it have been that hard to have a train run each direction so the rider could choose? Oh I forgot Texas took away the right to choose. Dang. So much for freedom.1 point

This board used to be filled with people who didn't post absolute bullshit on here as if its fact. Termites? You have google, son. Maybe just search for something. If you recall correctly? You are "pretty sure" you heard that in "several places"? You wanna cough up any kind of source to back that up? Anything? Yes, Colossus was shut down for 3 years to have its track replaced, but there is literally nothing online about the track being infested with termites. Come the fuck on.1 point

Nope. . Woodstock Express is a Junior Woodie, not a kiddie coaster. Same with the Vekoma suspended, it's a Junior. if you told him don't ride Great Pumpkin Coaster, then I'd agree. . as THAT one *is* a kiddie coaster. . it just does the oval thing, and you can't ride without a child anyways. (I skip that one at Coasterstock when adults ARE allowed to ride it). that said? skip the Vekoma headbang suspended. .it's AWFUL. .even in the front row. Woodstock Express is decent in any row, tho I prefer 1st or 2nd row. (adults easily fit in these trains, with buzz bars only). . .it's not as smooth as the ones at KD and Carowinds, but it IS a fun little coaster. - while over here in Camp Snoopy tho? I highly recommend a ride on Woodstock's Whirlybirds - elevated "helicopter" monorail. . it does have a little bit of a dip, and it's powered, so maybe call it a "coaster" ? the ride vehicles are large, and it gives a nice breeze as well as a lovely view of the area. as to Adventure Express? Love it.. but it can get rickety the further back you sit. Non-wheel seat (row 2) is probably the best, tho I'd just grit my teeth and do row 1 for the view (as Zach said)1 point

And conveniently don't mention T-Express since it doesn't fit the narrative: A roller-coaster in one of the worlds busiest parks and one of only 2 coasters there in a 12 hours open, 365 day park. Throw in the structure has to endure 35C humid summers and -20C winter. Also, it isn't Six Flags, so those 2 trains are constantly dispatching as soon as they're back to the station 10:30am-8:30pm. The rides/parks guidelines prevent it running when it's too cold so the park usually announces a months maintenance every January when the temperature won't hit the minimum for running but apart from that I can't remember ever seeing the ride down for unexpected maintenance. I know it's the newest but I wouldn't be surprised if it's total cycles is higher than the other 3 Intamin Plug N Plays so Everland must be doing something different.1 point

I love all the people that are blaming Intamin for this. Like, the ride is 16 years old, Intamin hasn't touched it in quite a while.1 point

It's sorta goes back to the notion 'Corporate Hates STL'. I think Hate is a strong word and don't agree with that sentiment, I believe 'Ignores' or an 'After Thought' is more appropriate.1 point

I'm going to buy an old lap bar for $6,000 so I can keep a piece of trash in my room.1 point

I’m going to count this as a success The afternoon had its moments of sadness (especially on the carousel when I realized that right at that moment I would have been texting Nick the picture of me on the white rabbit. But thank goodness for Sean who distracted me by talking about how awesome cedar downs was during his trip to cedar point) Big thanks to Sean for driving, Amy for encouraging me to try, Juan for meeting up with us as well. . . and especially Park President Jeffrey Siebert - who made a special effort to meet up with us so he could give me a hug and his condolences Other than the carousel only rode Dr Diabolicals Cliffhanger (3 times). But was good to get out of the house. my take on Dr. D? it's a really good dive coaster for the park, and not as extreme as it looks. It falls somewhere in the middle of the park's coaster lineup - not as good as Poltergeist, Wonder Woman, or Iron Rattler - about the same level as Superman & Goliath - better than Roadrunner Express, Batman, Pandemonium, and Boomerang. what elevates it higher than the "same level" coasters tho, is the theming in the queue - an excellent indoor preshow with two air-conditioned rooms, animatroncs, hidden doors, and some great special effects. The free locker system is great too, although zippered pockets seemed to work just fine without needing to use the lockers on my 2nd and 3rd rides. unlike most dive coasters? back row is THE place to ride this coaster. The back row gives an amazing pop of air on the 1st and midcourse drop (that you just don't get on the front or middle row), and makes the pops of air in the helixes that much stronger. so yeah. . ride back row. . right hand side of the train. . you're welcome. and again, thanks to Jeffrey for stopping by for a hug. . it really made my afternoon, and I really can't express how much it meant to me.1 point
