  1. FYI to the Alphabet Mafia... this year's Out On the Mountain is Friday Sept 9th. A little earlier than in past years. The flyer is definitely giving some *Graphic design is my passion* vibes...

  2. Labor Day weekend, even if lines are only 20-30 min you made a good investment!

  3. Something to also consider is how many skilled carpenters, maintenance workers, etc. have retired or were let go from their respective industries because of the pandemic, and as a result have also taken decades worth of institutional knowledge with them. Knowledge that will take the less-experienced workers who are now in these roles years or even decades to gain and build back up. That's also in addition to however many smaller companies who are now out of business that previously manufactured highly-specialized replacement parts for these rides. While those are no excuses to operate rides anyway if they are deemed unsafe, I'd speculate that keeping these rides running in the shape they once were is probably the most difficult it's been in a long time.

  4. Clearly you've never done any wood working. This is a one-of-a-kind middle finger, and it takes time. I have a friend who doesn't even like theme parks, but she asked me about it and said she was going to come see it. They have one of the knuckles on display, and concept art of the finished product. It's behind the shitters next to the Chinese joint.

  5. Jack & Sally is a rare sighting but a long wait. Theyre only at the Halloween and Christmas parties as far as I know. We learned the hard way our first time and waited 3 hours during the party. This experience helped the next trip though when we wanted to see him as Sandy Claws. My wife waited as soon as they started letting people line up (before the party even started) and was 3rd in line, while I took the kids on a few rides and met up with her closer to the start of the greets.

  6. The vibe at Knoebel's is truly unique. One of the stranger things (that I love) is that they let dogs on certain rides (boats, cars, train might be it). Two years ago with our pup...

  7. Well, one way to reduce the amount of people in the park. . . Send them to the hospital.
