  1. I'm sorry that not continuing to broadcast and support racist things doesn't fit your twisted world view. Its Disney; I can guarantee it won't be "a half baked overlay." Might I suggest you stick to the Darien Lake thread where every post is a joke.

  2. I thought Tiana cooked & went on to open a great restaurant? Apparently that doesn't keep her busy enough so she's leading bayou adventures now! LOL No one goes "OMG that Song of the South" gasp! It was from the 1940's, and I don't think I know one person that would say oh yea I know that movie. Let's do a half baked overlay to appease the woke. A proper, brand new Tiana experience would have shown more commitment; whether that was a restaurant or ride than an overlay in FRONTIER TOWN (at wdw) in my opinion. Oh and everyone will continue to call it Splash Mountain. So there's that too.

  3. Not the target market or the money maker, bro. Holiday World focuses heavily on families. Glad you had fun.

  4. That video is her way of saying “we need our kickbacks to approve the zoning change.” There’s zero chance the park lasts the full 11 years. 50 years would be 2026, so I suspect it’s already being arranged to have that be the last season… Stadium mixed use developments are all the rage, I bet prologis already has a deal with the niners. Best case is they save the amphitheater and the carousel/fountain entrance as part of the inevitable development.

  5. Excalibur - Funtown Splashtown, Saco ME Decent coaster. Smooth enough. Couple airtime moments. Good laterals. The ops are a killer though. Only one train and god are they slow getting it loaded and checked. Will try for some rerides but tough to do on a holiday weekend.

  6. In today's bizzarro news, it appears that their "the market can support insane prices" theory has collapsed, by virtue of them offering a season pass for slightly less than double the cost of a one-day ticket. Daily ticket on a Saturday: $79 Season Pass through 9/30/22: $139 https://americandream.com/nickelodeon_season_pass/tickets

  7. As a local that basically grew up in this park every season throughout the years this is incredibly disheartening to hear. I still remember when Flight Deck was Top Gun and we had Invertigo, doing the Goldstriker promoshoot, etc /sigh). Especially after the massive expansion plans were announced and them dumping a bunch of money on the waterpark. Although I suppose the writing has been on the wall for years and dumping haunt was another huge red flag. That being said there's a video floating around the internet of the Santa Clara mayor saying the city had NO idea this sale was happening and the city council is extremely upset about it for multiple reasons (youth summer jobs, culture for the area, etc). She even mentioned that as of right now the land is staying zoned for theme park use, so it'll be interesting to see if anything comes out of the city's talks with both CF and Prologis. At the end of the day money talks and if Prologis can prove their new development will provide more jobs, greater economic impact for the city, etc they'll probably give in and re-zone the land. It's all still pretty up in the air at the moment though. (Not sure if I'm allowed to be linking videos or not but it's here:)

  8. Just as an FYI, while 11 years is the max for for the lease, it is said as "up to" in most reports because Prologis can cancel the lease at any time (which then makes it two more years).

  10. Sad news, but I can't say I'm too surprised. I think their lack of following their ambitious expansion plan from a few years ago (which includes nixing the B&M hyper and giving it to Kings Island instead, which Cedar Fair confirmed themselves) was a sign. Given their debt from the pandemic and the extremely, extremely valuable land CGA sits on, I suppose it all makes sense. Railblazer will almost certainly be relocated since it's new and easily constructible. Everything else is sort of a wild card in my opinion. The two B&Ms are both quite old and could be approaching their service lives, and they both use the terrain slightly. Gold Striker is probably in decent shape but relocating woodies is pretty rare. I think it's safe to say Demon and Grizzly are getting scrapped. Who knows about anything else. Also, yeah, I doubt it's running for 11 more years. I'm guessing until 2024 or 2025.

  11. Not so Scary, just because I like Halloween better than Christmas and seeing the Magic Kingdom in "spooky Halloween" mode is way cooler than "festive fun" Christmas mode.

  12. I actually can't believe they're finally building a new big coaster, since they haven't done so since opening, 20 years ago. Should be a great addition for a park that is more heavy on looping and non launched rides. Still wishing for a coaster express RMC conversion but I guess that won't happen anytime soon with these retracks.
