Erik Johnson
Well, I finally was able to make it down to Orlando to check out the special Christmas event at the Magic Kingdom: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. In years past, I have been able to attend the other two special events in the park, but up until now I was unable to make it to this one. Well I finally made it and it did not disappoint. Like the other two events, it is basically an event where you do not wait more than 10-15 minutes for any attraction in the park. For example both Space Mountain and Peter Pan's Flight only had a ten minute wait. The video that is included is a bit on the long side, but I wanted to make sure that I had enough coverage of both Holiday Wishes and the awesome parade. There are a few other surprises as well. Ok, here is the video: [coastertube]http://www.themeparkreview.com/coastertube/play.php?vid=Disneychristmaslongversion_1[/coastertube] Did you put in your Christmas gift requests Epcot fanboys? I guess this opened up. I never got to experience this. I guess they are getting the Hot Air Balloon, just like Paris. The next day we did a little exploring over at Downtown Disney. Here is an overview of all the events of the night. Everyone loves Jessica. Even the reflection is awesome. This castle really does kick butt. I marks where you can pick up the free hot chocolate (which was really good) and a cookie. This is a very important symbol during the event. I know Wes is getting excited. This is what is looks like on the inside. This year's park map. What a deal!! I was able to exchange it for a totally random $11 pin. With our parking ticket we received a free pin coupon. Its a nutcracker....be careful. I now have been to all three special events. Looks like we are in the right place. Very Pretty. Even though they sold all the tickets, we were able to do everything without any problems. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
jedimaster1227
I was definitely disappointed by the fact that the party sold out on the 19th, because that was the night I had planned to go with a group of friends, but it is good to see that the event is just as strong as it was last year. This has been a great report Erik! Thanks again for the wonderful videos and photos!
cfc
I especially liked the extra-special Christmas lighting for Space Mountain. Excellent report, Erik. I've only been to the Halloween party event, myself.
Erik Johnson
I especially liked the extra-special Christmas lighting for Space Mountain. Excellent report, Erik. I've only been to the Halloween party event, myself. Heh heh heh, I have to admit that footage was shot during another visit, but it needed to be seen since it came out really well. Space Mountain was running fine and dandy the evening of the event. Both sides in 20 minutes, you can not beat that!
cfc
^You mean they don't light up Space Mountain like that every Christmas? My dreams have been shattered!
silvercrew1
Awesome video. On one of my WDW forums people have been complaining constantly about MVMCP but it looked great from your video! They all said it was crappy hot chocolate and cookies and it was crowded!? I don't know which party they were at but certainly couldn't have been at the Magic Kingdom! The castle lighting gave me chills and Holiday Wishes looks great and so does the parade. Hopefully I can hit this up someday but my family hates crowds so I doubt we would ever take a trip during the Holidays. Thanks for sharing! Roachman
Awesome trip report Erik! I'm glad I got to see the Million Dollar Rabbit in the video. It wasn't working when I was there in October. The space mountain with the lights on footage was really cool too!

nay
I love WDW Christmas pictures! I also attended a sold out party this year and still found the crowds to be manageable. Only near the castle did things get to be kind of jammed.

justanother2
That's Scrooge McDuck in that Christmas parade! I went to Disneyland in hopes of seeing him there, but they said they never see him. I guess I will just have to wait and go there to see him.
