Gutterflower
Turkey has been a hot bed for new parks and coasters recently and it doesnt show any sign of showing down. There are new plans for a theme park called Tema Park in Istanbul. The park appears to be part of a wider development including flats and a shopping center. The flats and shops are already under construction although the park shows no ground work yet. Official Site http://www.temaistanbul.com/en/tema-world Here's some concept imagery from the proposed park. Looks like a Mack water coaster. Coaster contained within the concept art. Entrance plaza Log flume This piece of concept art has a Togo in it... This came out a long time before Shockwave was announced to be closing for those who like to connect things Location in Istanbul. Taken in May. This is by far and away the most gorgeous image. perhaps one of the nicest concept arts I've ever seen. Just look at the launched coaster! Fullsize The concept art is a bit inconclusive at the moment. But I'm looking forwards to following the park, if it ever get's built of course. Gutterflower
It looks like land clearance for the site of the park is moving forwards now. We could see this park start to go up next year.
jedimaster1227
I'm surprised to see development like this spring up in Turkey, but perhaps that is an emerging market. It will be interesting to see just how close to the concept art this turns out, if it actually gets built.
Rill'o'beily
It just makes sense. Turkey is a popular tourist destination and really the only thing they were missing were major parks.
coasterer
I'm not too surprised either. I'd say it's about time. 80 million people, a booming economy and a growing world presence. I love seeing more and more high-level parks emerge out of the developing world.
Nrthwnd
It looks like a very nicer setup for the park. Everything appears to be evenly distributed around it, including that great looking "performance stage and meadow" on the lower left. I am looking forward to seeing how everything goes in it's creation. Never thought I might be interested, in getting to a park in Turkey!
Gutterflower
Some more recent Concept Art for the park has appeared. With an opening date set for mid 2018 The launched coaster will be a Vekoma LSM coaster similar to Formula One at Energylandia but bigger. The Junior coaster is a Vekoma too and theres also an indoor coaster but no manufacturer known yet. It can be seen in the art below though. 805Andrew
This looks like it will be a really nice park when it opens, assuming everything goes as planned. I've always wanted to go to Turkey to see Istanbul, and if this is open when I finally visit then I may need to add one more thing to see.
RyanTPM
Good to see some more concept art on this one, the original artwork looked nice. If it turns out to look this way at opening then it'll be a really good park!
