coasterbuzz36763
Im going this summer, can anyone (like Robb) give me the best places what to do and where to go first at BGT?
Blue0ctane
Believe it or not, I actually went to *Montu* first. It's amazing. We took the train over, rode Kumba, Scorpion, and Cheetah Chase. We then walked over to Sheikra and hit it while my mother and a friend did Stanley Falls. Having done this in about *four hours* (this was a Friday in May!!!) I went around hitting Montu again, Sheikra again, and Kumba twice again.
Homey G.
Ride Kumba. I hear it's fun.
ECZenith
Hey Coasterbuzz, I think I can be of some help. The most recent time I went was a Friday last October and I didn't really have any long waits to deal with. The one ride that did have a line was "Rhino Rally" and it was only about 15 minutes. I suppose if you're going on a weekend you'll need a strategy, but otherwise I doubt it will be insanely crowded. When I went, almost everyone made the long trek right to SheiKra which still ate up the crowds with its awesome capacity. The WATER RIDES get very busy on hot days. If you are planning on riding the flume, rapids, and tidal wave (which are pretty close to eachother) get to them early!! The B&Ms usually run a good number of trains but I suppose Montu, being at the front of the park could get crowded early so hit that early just in case. Remember they have excellent transportation to get to the major areas of the park, both rail and skyride, be sure to utilize both to make the most of your time. Enjoy one of the best parks out there...
Blue0ctane
Brian, that's exactly what Kumba is. It's not intense, but it's thrilling and fun. Mountu on the other hand is intense.
TheStig
Ride Kumba. I hear it's fun. Dont worry, it is. As far as BGT(A) goes, this is usially how we mak our rounds at the park. First, head STRAIGHT to SheiKra, you shouldent have to wait very long to ride, but thats the starting point. From there walk over to Kumba and hit Python on the way if you need the credit. Next, walk over to Timbukto and ride Cheetah Chase and Python, there are like 2 flats there (Pheonix and Sand Storm) but thats pretty much it. Then walk back toward the front of the park using the path that takes you by Rhino Rally, ride that if the lines are short, otherwise I wouldent reccomend it. Then it should put you in a good place to walk over to Montu. After Montu, head towards the entrance of the park, see Katonga if you wish. Gwazi is pretty much right as you walk in, so ride that last before you leave. Hope that helps! Colin C
Blue0ctane
Gwazi's lines are always short but operations are poor. I don't recommend you ride both sides for anything but the credit; they're extremey rough and not too fun.
ECZenith
If both sides are even running... They only had Tiger going when I went and I wanted that other credit. ::sob::
Blue0ctane
When I went, both Lion and Tiger were running. We were the only people waiting for the back row, and Gwazi took two cycles before we could get on due to horriby slow operation. Lion and Tiger never duel anymore either. Lion will get released, and when it gets to the brake run they'll release Tiger.

coasterbuzz36763
How is Sheikra? Is it smooth? What seat do I sit in?
ECZenith
It was very smooth when I rode it last year, about as smooth as a brand new B&M can be. You'll definately have the chance to ride all the rows. My favorite was the very edge (either side) of the front row but there's more floater air in the back. Blue0ctane
I rode the back both times. I've heard the front is awesome but the back was amazing. There are only three rows, and each one is higher than the next, so you won't have any vision problems.
Golfie
I went in April and it was a moderately packed day. If you've never been to the park before, I'd suggest going on the train at Nairobi to see everything in the park. Also, make sure that when you're in a certain section, tackle all of the rides in that section. BGA is so big that we didn't get a chance to ride Kumba because we weren't doing this. Don't take too much time taking pictures of rides or you'll run out of time. umm... Usually the wait times for rides in BGA (BGT) are shorter than what they say. For Python, they said a 45-minute wait when it only took about 30 minutes. Last, print out a park map ahead of time and sketch out a path that you'll take. This saves a lot of time since the park has so many paths going in different ways. I hope you have fun! BGA is a great park.
ParkTrips
Brian, that's exactly what Kumba is. It's not intense, but it's thrilling and fun. Mountu on the other hand is intense. Kumba is the most intense coaster in the park, a few years ago Montu would have given it a run for the title, but now is third in the park in terms of intensity. Kumba rocks, its a top 10 coaster in my book 8)
dragsterfan420
i have been to Busch Gardens Tampa about 4 times in my whole life, but I still love it. If you are looking to do everything get there right when the park opens. When you get in head for Montu(my favorite ride in the park). Go and look at all the animals. To me it is really interesiting. Then you start getting towards what looks like an old African Plantaion house. Keep going that way and eventually you will hit Montu. Also around their is a really good show called Katonga. After, Montu take the sky ride over to the Congo area. First, go on Kumba. Then go on the river rapids right next to Kumba. This is one of the best river rapids I've been on. After that get on Python(nto the best coaster) and sit on the left side trust me ok! Just do it! Then after that go to SHEIKRA! Then the last good ride is Gwazi. Im going their very soon and I intend to follow this plan too. Also don't even try to get onto Rhino Rally the line is always or at least most of the time a hour and a half or more. Definately skip it if the water portion of the ride is not working at the time.
dragsterfan420
By the way SheiKra is a really good coaster it is very smooth has a very big Immelman and it's fly over the water part is really awesome. The view for the top is amazing. Since Florida's landscape is mostly flat you can see all the way to the horizon, focal point, just like when your in the ocean. it is awesome.
