So if my dream is to be a Disney imagineer, do they have to make that come true?

This sounds like a pretty cool promotion as it makes it seem like every time you go to the park you are possibly winning something, and if one of those things is to go to every Disney park in the world then holy crap I need to go buy a season pass now.

I think it's a pretty silly idea, and it will never be able to work out as planned. Due to disputes with lawyers that say the CM's will be discriminatory in giving out prizes, the whole "gift-giving" idea has been abolished, and it will be a very mechanical process, in which the computer tells the CM's exactly when and where a prize is to be given out.

It was a good concept, but a concept that wasn't possible to execute realistically.

I disagree...I dont think it is silly at all, The dreams gift giving, is going to be, like all other Disney projects, well thought-out and planned. At some level it will be a random gift give away, and will remain something that is a "surprise", something "unexpected" which is what the campaign is all about.

Disney has done a random prize giveaway promtion in the past which was very successful. In October of 1986, Walt Disney World was celebrating it's 15th anniversary by randomly giving away prizes every 15 seconds. Yes, every 15 seconds!! For the life of me, I can't recall what the prize structure was, or even the overall grand prize, but I know that every guest who walked through the turnstiles would receive a ticket which told you if you had won or not.

Every 15 seconds, someone in line was bound to receive a prize. I remember winning several collectible pins, and then being able to wear an "I'm A Winner" sticker around all day. I don't see why this same system coudn't achieve the same success with different prizes. It sounds like a great promotion to me.

Or the sad and pathetic version of the ticket:
