Stitch Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Well now that I have had my computer back up for quite a while I decided to install No Limits agian. My last project Tava's Fury was lost in the computer crash, so it is canceled. Any way, here is my new project ... Kodiak Rampage is a new coaster from Great Coasters International. Another medium sized coaster like Kentucky Rumbler and Ozark Wildcat. So, far it is still a baby but make sure to come back when I post new updates. Without further adieu, here are the pictures. Stitch Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 You all have no clue what a nightmare it was to make this POV video ... . So, please excuse the low quality ... I retook the video on it's own and posted the Hi Def POV Kodiak Rampage POV with music (Low Quality) Kodiak Rampage POV without music (High Quality)
Guest Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 wow, good coaster, how did you do the video, was it using fraps??? is there any free software that does the same job? I know on rct3 you can press left ctrl, shift and F11 to make a video
DeliriumTrigger Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 ^Its only free if you need under 30 seconds of video...
Stitch Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 I used Fraps to take the video, just use the old version .. no sound but unlimited video capture. Fraps 1.9D Now, for the next step you will need to use VirtualDub to take it's file size from 500MB+ to a respectable size of 15MB+. You can also edit the movie with the most basic of functions. You press delete to delete the frames you don't need. Pretty much for deleting the NL screen as you start and stop. VirtualDub After you have the file down to a small size you can edit in a Movie editing program. Windows XP users can use Windows Movie Maker, for those of us that have Windows 98/98SE, you have to have a movie editor of your own. I have been unable to find any good free movie editors for Win98/SE. If you know of one please let me know .
DeliriumTrigger Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 ^Awesome, thanks! I had no idea there was an older copy still online. Lack of sound's no problem, if I really want it I can just record another way and splice it in via premiere. And for people using XP there's no need to resize it *before* opening the video in Movie Maker (as I'm sure anyone who uses it regularly knows), as it resizes it for you when you save the completed file.
Stitch Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 Since Kodiak Rampage was more or less my getting back into NL coaster I will release it . Have fun riding Kodiak Rampage.rar Kodiak Rampage
kennywood!007 Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Great coaster Eric! Even though I don't have NL I watched both videos (twice!) and loved them! It was such a fun ride. Good work, and thanks a lot for sharing!
Blue0ctane Posted June 14, 2006 Posted June 14, 2006 NINETY DEGREES! OK, not quite... Awesome POV, though. I'd love to ride that.
