ChrisFL Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 I received your email update today and thought this was funny: Spelling and grammar - I've had to disable posting privileges to a couple of people because it seemed that no matter how many times I asked them, they just could create legible posts. A couple of typos here and there are acceptable, but when you can't read what someone is trying to say, it's just not acceptable. Remeber, typos happen to the best of us
Nemmy Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 LOL! I didn't notice that...hell, I never got the email!
SharkTums Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 That's exactly the point...typos are FINE! Misspelling a word is FINE! if ure riting a post like this, not fine! Elissa "doesn't like English...but likes to be able to read!" Alvey
ChrisFL Posted March 28, 2005 Author Posted March 28, 2005 I agree with that too, I may be new here, but Ive been a member of some automobile related message boards for a long time and most of them operate very well and don't tolerate that either. I just thought I'd point out something ironic and hoped it wouldn't upset anyone. I don't know you all, but seeing a lot of your site, you seem like really cool people
robbalvey Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 ^ You just made the list, pal. --Robb "Typos here adn there are acceptable, incoherent posts are not." Alvey

kenshinmac Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Uh Oh... Ban coming... Amazingly effective though rotflol...
CoasterFanatic Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 ^^ OK. Now I think that everybody in the world has seen that damn thing about 10 times. // Always trying to come off as coherent as possible.
Angry_Gumball Posted March 28, 2005 Posted March 28, 2005 Yea. I've seen that in class a year ago. One of the most annoying things for me to see are Run-on sentences. It makes it really hard to understand what they're saying. Throw in some short-hand Text Messenger language and it makes it worse.
Movieguy Posted April 16, 2005 Posted April 16, 2005 Yeah, I'm glad people here are at least making an effort to promote good typing here. I've been to other forums where everything's gone completely to hell, with all the netspeak and such.
