robbalvey Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Hey everyone! With Joe's help I was able to finish a couple more photo gallery pages today: SFOG: http://www.themeparkreview.com/photos/sfog/sfgeorgia.htm SFOT: http://www.themeparkreview.com/photos/sfot/sftexas.htm Please have a look through some of the pages and if you see some rides or coasters that we lack some photos or videos on (like SFOG's Viper or SFOT's Titain for example) please post them here and I'll add the best ones to the photo gallery! If you have any decent photos of any defunct coasters, please post those! Thanks again to everyone for their contributions. I really think once we've got these pages for all the parks it will really make the photo galleries so much easier to browse! --Robb
pkdcoaster Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 here are some pics of Viper....I have a couple cycles on video..I will try to upload when I find it. JEFF
robbalvey Posted March 25, 2006 Author Posted March 25, 2006 Sweet. Thanks Jeff. I've already added them to the gallery. --Robb
DeliriumTrigger Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I don't know if it's just my computer...but the links on the SFOG page aren't exactly showing up right.
pkdcoaster Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Well I had a minute and a half of Viper Video I threw together for the Video forum Robb. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=23612 Enjoy, JEFF
CoasterCrazy Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Robb you can look through these pictures of SFoG, if you want any of the pictures just let me know!
robbalvey Posted March 25, 2006 Author Posted March 25, 2006 ^ Thanks! I've added your Canyon Blaster pics along with a bunch of your others. Any SFOT pics out there? --Robb
memphish Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 I don't know if it's just my computer...but the links on the SFOG page aren't exactly showing up right. It doesn't seem to display properly in Firefox. I've got some good pics of SFoG, but it looks like they're all really similar to CoasterCrazy's. I haven't been to SFOT since I got a decent camera.
robbalvey Posted March 25, 2006 Author Posted March 25, 2006 See if this works any better: http://www.themeparkreview.com/photos/sfog/sfgeorgia.htm I have no idea why it would be doing that. It's the exact same format as all the other pages. --Robb "Yet another reason we stick with IE." Alvey
memphish Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 No change. Thats actually the only page I've seen on TPR that didn't render properly. Congrats on that because its no small feat to get pages to display the same across multiple browsers. Maybe one day IE will consider conforming to a standard or two so designers don't have to code their pages twice. Such a headache when I design a site that works in every other browser, but IE mangles it completly. -Mike "ignores the hiccups to enjoy an adfree internet" Moore
pkdcoaster Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 OK found all my "unique" SFOG pics Robb (2 new viper pics) and only 2 SFOT pics that are good (1992) JEFF
rcoasters Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 See if this works any better:http://www.themeparkreview.com/photos/sfog/sfgeorgia.htm I have no idea why it would be doing that. It's the exact same format as all the other pages. --Robb "Yet another reason we stick with IE." Alvey Doesn't work with Firefox but works with IE, that's weird... Anyways, nice updates and nice pics on there !
nannerdw Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I took these pictures the first time I went to the park. Edit: Pics got put in reverse order Oh well, just look through them backwards! Batman's 0-g roll from the exit ramp. I'm glad I got this fountain credit before it was demolished! Yes! Another fountain credit! (Eww, this fountain must have been made by Vekoma.)

Alvey Now to start a flame wars/browser thread- It's a browser thing-instead of building for IE and patching for other browsers, us Mozilla geeks believe web pages should be built to W3C standards, which all compliant browsers can read. If the page is built that way, it ends up being less work, because you don't have to keep patching it for each browser quirk. I checked with the W3C validator, and I got: W3C QA Markup Validation Service v0.7.2 * Skip Navigation | Home * About... * News * Docs * Help & FAQ * Feedback Jump To: * Results Result: Failed validation, 70 errors Address: Encoding: windows-1252 Doctype: HTML 4.0 Transitional Revalidate With Options : Show Source Show Outline Show Parse Tree ...no attributes Validate error pages Verbose Output Help on the options is available. This page is not Valid HTML 4.0 Transitional! The validator is at: http://validator.w3.org/
