I think Tussauds will have too work harder and harder over the coming years because the others are showing all the signs of catching up!

Alton will carry on getting a major facelift, i think they have realised that families are not well catered for and they are loosing out. Alton is such a dump in places and it is a shame that the gardens are in such a poor state of repair. My mother would not approve

I agree with the comments about Flamingo land and BPB and they do have alot to do but I think they are going for it!

Thorpe Park has come such a long way since Space Station Zero! My first ever coaster if you could call it that!). I've always worried about it being so close to Chessington, but they both pack them in in the summer and I guess that Chessington has a more family approach whereas Thorpe park is becoming a thrill seeker park.

On the other hand, Alton Towers has a lot of land space. I'd like to see them build a huge woodie or hypercoaster. But Tussards always seem to me to build benchmark rides which are then bettered or made bigger by other parks. They must lose quite a bit of revenue with the parks shut for 5 months of the year. The hotels being built might balance that out a bit.

And Tussaud is interested in buy part of Terra Mítica theme park in Benidorm, Spain. They would buy a participation for 15 million Euros and they'd invest 30 million Euros in new rides, new shows and improvements during four years.

I hope Tussaud will buy Terra Mítica. I have visited Alton Towers and Thorpe Park and I think they are great parks, although Thorpe Park it's... different. I prefer Alton Towers, but parks in UK are so much different than ours Spanish theme parks.

Well Id just like to confirm, that the Hotel is already being built, and will open in may 2007!

And in regards to Flamingoland, if there going for the theme park aproach, they seriously need to do some work.

Chessington didn't become a Theme Park over night, it took 6 years to get that up to scratch. From what I've seen of Flamingoland, they do seem to making a huge effort with Kumali.

So why are their new rides a Charlie And The Chocolate Factory boat ride an a Driving School (for 2007). I don't think they're getting a face lift. They're trying to appeal to the family market. Familys are the people most likely to wanna stay in the hotels, and seeing as the park is so hard to get to via public transport i doubt that marketing everything towards teenages is gonna be the best move.

So you agree with me?

The family market can be massive. I went to Light Water Valley on a Sunday once in about may last year and I was expecting it to be dead, but it was full of family's and young adults and they had to open the overflow car park. I was really surprised.

Let's hope in the next couple of years they install a world class woodie from S&S Power/Custom Coasters or the Gravity Group as these parks urgently need a woodie.

It has to have loads of "Airtime on every hill and not the relaxed attituide UK parks normally have, as the UK are not allowed "to come out of your seat" unlike you lucky US guys and gals.

Have something like "Hades/Sivering Timbers/Tremors or Mr Twister layout/design. 4,000ft long with loads of tunnels and camel hills

Well theres a pretty strong rumor going about claiming that Chessington will be installing a Huss Topple Tower for 2007, apparantly it will be in the Mexicana area of the park, I hink this is a perfect ride for Chessington and I hope these rumors are true!

Also Thorpe Park have applied for planning to re-locate the Flying Fish coaster in the Neptunes kindom area of the park for 2007! WOO HOO!

*Thank you for flying the fish*
