At What Age did You Discover that Rides were Fun?

I went on the vampire at chessington when i was 6 before the new trains came in that was when i loved it.

But after the revamp i stopped enjoying coasters after a incredibly bad ride i wacked my head on the back of the chair(Ive still got the lump)That was the year it was revamped then i stopped for a while.

But the next year i went on RNR in DLRP and that brought my love for coasters back.

It was actually last year, when I was 14! :O It was when I found this site, and when I rode Kanonen, that I realized that rides/coasters are really great!

Mmm... when I was a child (like 4-5) I used to be really scared of rides. I went to an amusement park and I was the only one who didn't dare to ride anything. But the thing is that I was completely amazed watching the rides and the people riding them.

 

Later on, when I was 9 years old I went to a Schwarzkopf Wild Cat and I enjoyed so much my first 'little' big ride that I rode the same coaster 25 times in a day.

After riding that coaster I was still afraid of riding big coaster until the age of 12.

 

I went to PortAventura with some friends and they went running straight to Dragon Khan. I didn't mean to ride the coaster but I followed them through the whole line and when we were about to enter the station they grabbed me and told me... "now you're going to ride THE ride"... and since that moment I've loved coasters.

 

What a first major coaster to begin with, hum? Dragon Khan... amazingly intense and 8 fabulous inversions!

I was a REALLY late bloomer to RCs!

 

I started riding only about 3 years ago. I was scared of them as a kid, but always fascinated by the engineering aspect. So one day I just said, "F this, I'm goin' for it!"

 

GASM at SF Great Adventure was my first. Followed by Superman, Medusa, Batman and Nitro! Oh yeah, and the Runaway train. I pretty much got thrown to the lions on my maiden voyage into the coaster world!

 

But I've been hooked on them like a crack addict since then!

I was about 3 when i thought rides were really cool, but it was not until I was about 9 that I learned that rollercoasters were fun, too.
