martinb Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 Thats one occasion, I've been to Disneyland Paris loads of times, and not once have I ever known any of the coasters to break down whilst I was there, so IMO Disney are the best at maintaining their rides.
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 The tophat looks deformed! Acoording to the site that is not a top hat it is "an almost upside dow 140* banked turn"
thunder001 Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Why is it that I can see this ride being built within an Aussie Park within the next 5 years.....
Paul_Hollibone Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Well I can see this happening somewhere (in a country which most of the prototype vekoma's go, IE Australia, Japan, and so on) and you will never see much of it again. Same idea like what happened to the Tilt Coaster.
Hurricane Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Wasn't our SLC a prototype??? I think it may have been.
Nick-Mac Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Looks like RnRC with more inversions and without the goofy guitar building. Who cares if RnRC is smooth, take away the theming (building, on-board music, preshow, etc) and the ride is mediocre. I don't see any park ordering a launch coaster from Vekoma (unless it's Disney, but they would they theme it beyond comprehension)
martinb Posted May 2, 2006 Author Posted May 2, 2006 I don't see any park ordering a launch coaster from Vekoma unless it's Disney Um....... http://www.rcdb.com/id769.htm
Nick-Mac Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 ^^^^ Maybe I'm wrong, but that dosen't look very themed to me. RnRC is comlpetely enclosed with several theming elements throughout the ride. Unless Im wrong , is there some sort of elaborate enclosed station? other than that, the ride looks very "un-themed"
martinb Posted May 3, 2006 Author Posted May 3, 2006 Your correct, I always said that the RNRC was made better by the fast beating music, well the one at Paris also has strobe lights, millions of coloured flashing lights etc so that makes it great, so I imagined that one without themeing it would be dull!
Worm Posted May 3, 2006 Posted May 3, 2006 I've never bee to a disney park, and i'm interested to see the layout of RnRC. Can't anyone make a quick recreation on NL?
martinb Posted May 3, 2006 Author Posted May 3, 2006 ^^Here you go, this coaster layout is identicle to the RNRC: http://www.rcdb.com/ig769.htm?picture=2 IMO the RNRC is a brilliant coaster but if it weren't for the music and theming it would be a bit average as it slows down alot towards the end but the fast paced music keeps it feeling faster, so I imagine this coaster (Xpress, below) must be abit dull towards the end
