Reon Posted February 25, 2006 Posted February 25, 2006 I already sent these via email a few days ago, but everyone else is posting theirs this way so... Quite possibly the best coaster at the park. You get so much air going down that drop Look everyone! Its the Premier that looks like an Intamin! The manditory "RAWRG IM GONNA EAT YOU AND THIS BILLBOARD!" shot. From this angle, it almost looks like you get wet on the ride... Oooh..verticl-RUN ITS WORSE THAN A VEKOMA! ..and yet people actually get in line for it...suckers Another angle of everyone's favorite arrow. This thing was constructed on the year I was born. Coincidence? OMG WERE GONNA CRASH INTO THE BILLBOARD! Mmm. Intamin-look alike overbank Look its MaxAir! Once the location of America's(and my) first(and greatest) stand up coaster. RIP Cobra. New for 2006: DIRT! Great Wolf construction, yo. An overview at PKI's newest coaster. Its a good ride when the effects work... Have I mentioned I love this ride? I leave you with this picture of the beast. Who knew he was really a teddy bear?
FlyingScooter Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 Good pics! This summer I plan on going to PKI. Can't to ride the Beast and SOB.
verticalzero Posted February 27, 2006 Posted February 27, 2006 The SOB is amazing, great ride You can't beat riding The beast at night,
Reon Posted February 27, 2006 Author Posted February 27, 2006 Son of Beast is okay speed and thrillwise, but ridable...NO!!!!! THis thing bangs worse than 12 SLC's combined. Only ride it once. As for beast itself, still a great ride. The trims TOTALLY kill the air on the second hill, but the overall ride make up for it. Plus you cant beat the tunnels on it...AND WHY ISNT ANYONE TALKING ABOUT VORTEX???? Ride the back rows....one of the best classic steels around.
Darien Laker Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Vortex looks like it would be great. It looks like SFDL's Viper on steroids. I've heard Top Gun is one of the better suspended coasters, too. The Beast also seems like it would be completely awesome. The older rides at this park seem so nostalgic.
benzo41190 Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 I find it funny that there is a line for the back seat SUCKERS Also, i always thought that the Italian Job looks like a older, more ghetto ride.
Carnage Posted February 28, 2006 Posted February 28, 2006 Vortex is a fine ride as long as you don't mind getting your head bashed in. PKI has some of the most painful coasters around. I'd consider Beast,SoB,and Vortex as one time rides only. I wouldn't really be rushing to get back into line. But to each his own I guess.
Reon Posted February 28, 2006 Author Posted February 28, 2006 Sonny I'll have to agree with. Vortex can be a bit rough due to aging, but I have ways around it (Im still skinny enought to stick my head out of the restraint.) Beast all depends where you sit... Racer though...dont ride forewards toward the back. It kills babies and eats them.
