Just wondering if there where any rock climbers on this site. I dont rock climb big walls but i do like to go bouldering alot. I usually go bouldering outside at this nice little place called, Boat Rock. The cool thing about boat rock is that its about 5 mins from SFOG, so after a long session of bouldering i go relax on some coasters.

On Rainy or extremely cold days or just whenever we(my friends and I) go to this amazing climbing gym called escalade in Kennesaw, GA. Its always a blast. Thats about all i do except for a few other places that ive been climbing at.

Rock climb no, hike and backpack yes.

My greatest accomplishment is making it up Mt. Dana in Yosemite National Park. It's just a hike, although a very tough one. Start out at just below 10,000 feet. Hike about a quarter mile on level ground, then have 2 1/2 miles to climb up to the summit of 13,057 feet. And what a view you have. Mt. Gibbs directly south, a view of the Minarets and the Ritter/Banner Massif, Lyell, Cathedral Range, Hoffman, north Yosemite with it's bright granite, the Saddlebag Lake basin, and Mono lake round out the views around you. Amazing view. If anyone goes up to Yosemite and Tuoulmne Meadows (and is in good shape as well), try the hike, start out from the Tioga Pass entrance station, early.

Hey Yankee, I hate people like you who make walls look effortless. Being talls sucks for small tight climbs and under clings.

This is funny but, I love climbing trees! My tallest was in Mississippi. 70 feet high! I like the view and it's "usually" safe. You just really have to watch your footing.

I remember when i use to climb trees back when i lived in hawaii. It was alot of fun. The highest ive ever been was probalbly 40-50ft off the ground. After that height my fear of heights starts to kick in.

I do a fair amount of Mountain walking, but we don't have too many interesting ones over here.

Next year I'm climbing Kilimanjaro though, which will be awesome.

Used to go hiking/camping, but haven't done it in years. Mary is afraid of camping!

White water rafting rules. Haven't done that in awhile either, but I think we'll go on a short trip this year. At least that's in the plans...

I guess I'm outdoors a lot. I go Mountain biking, Geocaching etc. I had a really cool science teacher who would take us to the Delaware water gap to go climbing and repel down. Now that was cool. Now basically it's just easy Hikes with no climbing.

I used to climb a little when I was younger. My brother was the big climber in the family. We have spent a lot of time in Yosemite hiking and climbing. Two years ago I hiked to the top of Half Dome and I plan on doing it again this Summer. It's a 17 mile round. When you scale the dome itself there are a couple of steel cables to help you make it to the top.
