Shockwave Posted February 18, 2006 Posted February 18, 2006 Darnit!!! Just our luck we won't be in town for St. Patricks Day this year. You better have another party soon!!! That just occured to me - I'll be in Disney World for St. Pat's day. Do they have any special events? Or does any park have any special events?Wouldn't mind leaving the car at the hotel and having a few beers.
PhishyBrewer Posted February 18, 2006 Author Posted February 18, 2006 ^^Wait, I'm confused...what did I do!?!?! The topic was about the event that the second set is holding, and when you mentioned the TPR BBQ Don changed the subject of the topic. You started it, so... it's your fault.
Guy T. Koepp Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Although I don't think there are too many mouth-breathing neckbeards on the list so far Speak for yourself! I am laughing so hard right now! I hate you Don, I hate you so very much. Guy "Neckbeard." Koepp
Guy T. Koepp Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 So! Will my Extreme Playpass get me in to this event? If not then I will have to back out. I now may be flying in and out on the 17 as I am booked to work on the 18th. This is gonna be a great Schindig! I can't wait. Guy "I got nothing after that neckbeard thingy." Koepp
dougr Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 So that private event greyed out is this thing? If we get our passes that day, can we get in? Our spring break is March 11-19 and you guys are only 2 days drive away, so it is possible...

Maybe you should check out EPCOT that day, especially around the World Showcase... um, United Kingdom Pavillion.....pub? (EDIT: there will also probably be special St.Pats Day pins you may want to look out for, to 'commemorate' your visit there, lol.)
Jeezus Juice Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 OK, let's get this steam donkey back on track! As long as you have a valid 2006 Six Flags season pass you're good to go. Yes, that day that is blacked out on the SFMW site is for this event. What I'm not sure about is if there will be onsite pass sales on that day or not. Also, I need to check to see if a SFMW season pass voucher will be valid. I really don't see why not, but I'll check on this. ALSO VERY IMPORTANT: If you have picked up your ticket book on a day prior to the event there is a free 'bring a friend' ticket good for this day only. So you don't nessisarily need a pass at all, provided you know someone who has picked up his/her ticket book already. I'm not sure, but you may not actually have to be friends at all! I can't see how they would enforce that. Now, wether or not someone would be able to enter the park, process a pass, get the coupon, and meet you outside of the park is unknown, but may be within the realm of possibilities. So come join us! Even if you're like ol' neckbeard and have to leave right away! And Tom, I'm with Bill on this. If not the UK section of Epcot, definately by the dumpsters out back at around 5 o'clock. BYOPB (Bring your own paper bag). -Don

Now, wether or not someone would be able to enter the park, process a pass, get the coupon, and meet you outside of the park is unknown, but may be within the realm of possibilities. The only requirement for your "friend" is that he or she go through the gate the same time you do. And maybe you'd be able to process, get the book, and go back out to bring your friend in. (6F having apparently dropped the rumored "no ins and outs" idea.) Only thing is that you'd have to come back through the return gate, not a regular entrance gate, right? And could "friend" enter there too? Dunno. Also, on a passholders-only day a couple of years back, the pass-processing line was a couple of hours long at one point, especially in the afternoon, when some employees were still in school. And it was pissing down rain. SFMW has improved things since then, but said friend still might have a longish wait outside the gate. I seem to remember that one year if you showed up with a processed pass, you could exchange the coupon book voucher outside the gate, maybe at Guest Services, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

Koepp Just to confirm as I got this information on Friday, your Xtreme PlayPass will get you into the event. The Season Pass Party is open to all Six Flags Season Passholders. As for the "Bring-A-Friend" free voucher, the Season Passholder needs to accompany their guest through the turnstiles. If you do not have your Season Pass purchased or processed, or simply did not receive your coupon book before the event, those can be picked up at Guest Services. Trust me, I looked into all this fun stuff.
PhishyBrewer Posted February 19, 2006 Author Posted February 19, 2006 ^^^Thanks for getting the skivey on that Don. I still have not heard back from Six Flags. I've been leaving messages all week with no return calls. It's actually pissing me off. But what can you expect, it is after all Six Flags. Just an FYI for those folks under 18 years of age... even the we would like to keep the tour and lunch limited to those folks that are 18 years on age and older, doesn't mean you can't meet up with everyone at the park. It's not my park, I don't own it. Come on down and meet some folks and see if Shapiro can get that third train on Medusa.
memphish Posted February 19, 2006 Posted February 19, 2006 Bought my ticket yesterday! I can't wait to meet up with you all, and check out the ghetto V2. iz spinnin'
