DATman Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 ^I love Williamsburg. It it such a great town. I went twice last year. Once for a DC trip with my class (I saw a ghost on the tour we did!), and the other on homecoming weekend, as it was my mom's 25 reunion. I went to BGW, and had a blast! Colonial Williamsburg is also a great place, as it has a very unigue atmosphere, and can be very creepy at night (I have always wanted to shoot a horro film there).
doom1001 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 People seem to be comparing BGW to Cedar Point for some reason, I'm from Florida and visited both these parks the last 2 summers and there's really nothing to compare they're two different things!! I love both of these parks, I'm a theme park goer who appreciates a good park and both these parks are awesome at what they offer, Cedar Point is all about ride, ride, ride in a more amusement park enviroment although it's location being surrounded by water makes it pretty unique. BGW has a couple of great coasters but offers other things like shows, great theming, a couple of dark rides(Darkcastle and Corkscrew Hill), good eats and in my opinion one of the nicest parks in the country, the woody. hilly terrain is awesome. Before BGT opened Sheikra I preferred BGW over BGT but Tampa has 8 coasters to BGW's 4 so now I prefer BGT and do feel that BGW needs another coaster, I'm sure it's in the works and will make a great addition to an already good park!
Jon Sabo Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Here is a link to some photo's being posted. Look for construction to begin by June! (Announcement around Mid-July). http://www.buschadventure.com/Forums/index.php?showtopic=259
pkdcoaster Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 ^I live in Williamsburg, and on some summer days, you can smell it all over town. Sigh--if only they were brewing something good . . . Thats funny cause I HATE Beer..juste taste like piss to me..but I LOVE the smell of the Brewery (barely) maybe cause it reminds me of coasters JEFF
cfc Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 ^When it comes to most Busch products, I prefer to neither drink nor smell them. But, like you said, Jeff, the smell does bring coasters to mind.
Jon Sabo Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 I'm quite curious how you can compare beer to piss?..loooool!!! I never tasted urine, but love beer (goes well with pizza, hooters chicks, and buffalo wings).
Joe Cool Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 ^I guess you would go crazy if you where in St. Louis smelling the brewery.
Jon Sabo Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 I used to live (past exit 3) from BGE and the Brewery smell never really bothered me. I just couldn't stand those damn coal trains going by at 2 am..lol The smell coming from the brewery is more noticable (to me) in the summer time rather than winter months. Maybe the St. Louis one is more stingent because of the wind patterns there, but if I recall, that is the #1 production brewery so the smell may be more prevelant.
CoasterExpert13 Posted May 16, 2006 Posted May 16, 2006 Personally, I'd like to see a B&M Floorless coaster intertwined within BGE's (or BGW, whatever) plush scenery. With 7 inversions of course, but away from B&M's standard layout of: Loop, Dive Loop, Zero-G-Roll, Cobra Roll, Interlocking-Corkscrews. I'd like to see B&M utilize the "Sea Serpent" again. Or, a B&M Sit-Down Looper, with a major layout. Maybe add to the terrain, build a few underground tunnels and trenches. Possibly inventing a new "world's first" inversion. I wish B&M would make a comeback with the Stand-Up coaster, but so many people complain about the seating..even though i've been on all B&M stand-ups and haven't had a problem but I guess it depends on the person. If they did, I think it would be neat if they designed one for BGE. A B&M flyer would be awesome, because it can fly through all the scenery BGE has, and theres just so much you could do with a flyer. A Intamin Giga would be great also, and it doesn't necessarily have to be the tallest or fastest. Just as long it is not a replica of Millennium force.
