TopThrill1125
In case you didn't know, on January 20, 1865 the first roller coaster patent was issued for a roller coaster by LaMarcus Adna Thompson. So, Happy 141st Roller Coaster Anniversary!!!

DATman
are we gonna do this every year? I could understand 150, but even Disneyland doesn't celebrate any anniversary that can't be divided by 5.

Au contraire mon ami - meaning I have Birthday Pins from Dizzyland's 35th, 44th, 46th, 47th, 48th, and 50th..... The place may not do the big major publicly advertised birthday events every year, but they have their ways... especially around July 17th, hmmm? And Happy Birthday to - I was planning to post it last Sunday, before 'the TPR accident' here - the Original Space Mountain, which opened in WDW on January 15, 1975! 31 years and the real 'birth' of those many, many indoor coasters we love/hate to ride on. tngdiablo
Party in my pants, huh? Yay, roller coasters! It's amazing how much the technology has progressed in recent times, it seemed to be at a steady pace for most of the 1900s but only in the past few decades after steel coasters were introduced have the creative minds really put forth some exceptional rides.
