coastered Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 I'm going to california for my holidays next september. I'm doing a tour through california and nevada. But i'm only staying in the LA area for 3 days. My question is, that I want to visit 4 themeparks in those 3 days. But I don't want to pay for a full day ticket when i'm only visiting the park for half a day. I want to visit SFMM, Disneyland, Disney California Adventure and maybe Knotts Berry Farm. So I want to know do they sell tickets for half a day?
What Now Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I don't know of ANY park that sells half day tickets. You might, however, get SFMM or Knott's tickets for half price. Check the parks' respective websites for discounts.
BarryH Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Knott's has an after 4 pm ticket option for $22.50: http://www.knotts.com/park/guest/ticket.shtml SFMM doesn't have a half day ticket option, but they have a current offer of $29.99 admission through March 2006. That probably won't help you if you're going in September.
cfc Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Hmm--seems to me that it would awfully hard to police half-day tickets sold in advance. I suppose they could attach an ankle bracelet with a tracking device to your leg and find you when the half-day is up. All kidding aside, Water Country USA in Williamsburg does discount their tickets after 3:00 (BGW used to, as well, but I'm not sure if this is still their policy).
BarryH Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Half day tickets generally go from a certain time to close, like 4 pm to close or 5 pm to close.
UberBeavis Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 When in September? You might not be able to visit SFMM during the week.

Because Water County USA is SO in California, and open in sept.
cfc Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 ^Just usin' it as an example, dude. Other parks elsewhere may have similar policies.

The new one has a Disney 3 day flexpass, Universal 1 day, San Diego Zoo OR WAP 1 day, and Seaworld 1 day-all for $199. I think Costco may sell them for $169. This may be an option if you find more days-I know the old pass which they don't sell past March 31 this year had Knott's instead of USH.
cfc Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 When I was in California over Christmas, I noticed that they sell DLR, two-day park-hopper cards at Safeway. Don't know what the restrictions are, though.
socalMAN123 Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I don't know of any park in Socal that lets you buy half-day tickets besides the KBF After 4 PM offer. If you're going to DLR, drop me a PM and maybe we could meet up! ---Brent
coastered Posted January 13, 2006 Author Posted January 13, 2006 Thanks for the info you all gave till now, Especially the info for KBF.
