Supermanu88 Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Hi, I'm Manuele, an Italian boy. I don't speak English very well and so I hope you will understand me. I would ask you if you have ever visited an italian park, and what country do you comes from. I've seen all your videos and i can say you are the best. ohhhh I was forgetting to ask you how often you organised your travel hi
viking86 Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 I visited a few parks in Italy this summer with the European Coaster Club. Canevaworld, Gardaland and Mirabilandia. The movie part of Canevaworld was pretty cool, but very small. The X-area was also really crappy. It wasnt hard to see where they ran out of money. The waterpark part was huge with many cool slides, but it was a bit too crowded for my taste. Gardaland was probably the best overall park with fantastic theming and atmosphere, but unfortunately the rollercoasters there were very average. Still I really enjoyed the entire day in the park as well as a few hours the evening before. It looked amazing at night. That park also has the best kiddie-area ever Mirabilandia was also a pretty good park. Katun was amazing! The park also had a great stunt show and some water rides that really made you soaked!
The Riddler Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 I visited in 2005 3 italian parks and really enjoyed it. I come from the netherlands and traveled to Italy with 21 people (Themeparkvision). First we dit Gardaland which was verry nice! Second was Mirabilandia with ERT on Katun, a verry great coaster. Last was Canevaworld, that was a big suprise how good the park was.
Jew Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Gardaland had potential, but when a hurricane was released upon the park...it was all downhill from there. Both of the credits we got sucked, for some strange reason we could order dessert but not drink refills at one of their sitdown restaurants, and we were unable to turn our one day ticket into a two day ticket (despite the fact we were staying in their hotel and had no problem paying the difference...). Mirabilianda has Kutun. And a strange way of letting guests into the station. But it was like 50000000000000000 degrees with nasty humidity, so that made the day less than enjoyable. Canevaworld ws actually my favorite park in Italy. Bummed out we didn't get to hit the waterpark, but the attractions in the Movie Park were great for "low budget" attractions! Their haunted house was on par with a Haunt or HHN maze, the T2 show was kind of cool (psycho floor of death=awesome), the Rambo stunt show was on par with other park stunt show (but I thought it was awesome they take guests "hostage" and use them in the show!), and their tram ride thing was nothing spectacular but still fun and not crappy by any means.
PhishyBrewer Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Any place that has Chicken Parm is a friend of mine.
Shockwave Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 I went to Gardaland back in 2004 and had a really good day out! It was pretty busy but I got on all the rides a heck of a lot, and stayed till about midnight.
Meteornotes Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Gardaland - Some of the worst customer service I have ever seen at a park. No great rides, really bad operations (hey this line is out into the midway, let's remove a train!), the park cannot handle a rainstorm, and woe to anyone daring to want more than one drink with dinner when it's 90+ degrees outside. I doubt I will ever visit again. Mirabilianda - Katun rules. One of the best B&Ms ever. The park has a really odd way to load rides, though (red/green light system that requires people to pay attention, which means it doesn't work). Nothing else really great there. Nice enough place, but the 110 degree day was just brutal. Canevaworld - One of the surprises of the trip. I don't think anyone expected to enjoy this place as much as we did. You could tell that the people running this place really cared about it and wanted their guests to have a great experience. All of the attractions are well done, and it's a really nice park. The water park next door is really nice too. dt
rollermonkey Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Any place that has Chicken Parm is a friend of mine. Then you'd be pretty bummed if someone told you that is an Americanized creation. I was able to get a restaraunt to create that for me, but they thought I was pretty strange. The other REAL italian food is generally so much better, I never felt the need to ask for it again! For Manuele: I lived in Gaeta in southern Lazio for more than two years. I visited Gardaland, Mirabilandia, Fiabilandia, Zoosafari Fasanolandia, Playplace (but it had recently closed), Magic World, and Fantasy World Minitalia during my stay. I'm from America, but I currently live in Japan. Lastly, I plan every trip before I go, but I am especially careful for trips outside the US. I would hate to get lost or stranded somewhere!
sfmmFREAK Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 i have been to italy, but unfortunately, i didn't visit any parks. i am italian too, just living in america.
