Yeah, and pluck some weeds while you're at it! BTW...does any one else pattern their holes strategically around each stone (when you can), so you can keep hitting the stones without pushing back? Let me know if you don't understand (assuming you play/ed the game before).

Oooh, I've had AC:WW since Tuesday, but have to go to McDonalds (blech!) for Wi-Fi access sicne I don't have a wireless router and don't have the money right now to purchase Nintendo's nifty adapter thing.

 

I really want to experience other peoples towns though, and would like people to come to mine!

 

I'll go to a McD's today to get a friend code and I'll post it here when I get one.

So when is everyone from here online? I think you all know that Erik and I pretty much play all the time, or at least have our gates open all the time.

I am online quite a bit, mainly morning and late at night. I have also started leaving my gates open, so anyone can feel free to visit if they would like to.

I think a TPR meet would be great if a time and day can be decided on. I would try to make sure that I would be there.

Yeah that would be fun to have a TPR "swap" meet sometime. Nook's is expanding again today so it is closed. I can't believe how quickly he is expanding the shop. I think it took around 6-8 months in the original game for him to expand twice.

Actually, what I really need is a Nooks that is selling a Shovel today. I have had the game for a week, and not once (including today) has my Nooks stocked a shovel. I've got the axe, fishing pole, watering can, bug net, slingshot, and the timer, but no shovel!

 

Please help me out! Thanks (I know i sound desperate, but I just really want to start digging up fossils!)

Hey, I was flipping through the strategy guide for AC DS the other day...anyone catch a shark by any chance and does the museum have a tank that is devoted to these huge denizens of the deep?

I haven't caught a shark yet, maybe they're only around during the warmer months. I beleive I have caught most of the winter fish.

 

Will anybody be "online" sometime alter today? I still need a shovel!

And remember, if you haven't had anybody buy anything from your Nooks, having a visitor buy an item is one of the prerequisites for the final Nooks upgrade (with hair salon!)

I would be extra careful at leaving your town gates open and walk away for several hours. When I got back from work I noticed that about 10 of my trees (including my new coconut tree) were cut down. They did not even remove the stumps. Lucky for me another really nice player allowed me to pick up some fruit to replace these trees. So I am sorry to say all, I will not be leaving my gates open again unless I am playing or am beside my DS.

Eric, man, that sucks! I was always wondering what kept people from coming and doing that, as some people online suck like that.

That does suck! Erik, is there anyway you can tell visited your town, or are you just out of luck?

 

So anyway, I got sick of eating McDonalds on an almost daily basis and going just to discover there are no towns for me to enter.

 

So, I decided to buy a wireless router.

 

Now, I'm pretty stupid when it comes to tehcnology but I can't get the router to hook up to my comp and my modem so I can surf the internet, I tried a few things, but can't get it to work. So, I decided to try my DS anyway, and I got it to work, so I can access AC:WW at home, woohoo! I just can't play and surf at the same time.

 

Is there anyway I can visit someones town so I can buy a shovel? I'm not one of those to vandalize, that ruins it for all, I just wanna talk to townspeople and go shopping. Plus, I haven't been able to experience the online portion of this game and would like to. Thanks!

I think I'm still going to leave my gates open, but I've deleted everyone on my friend list except for people I know personally and a few TPR members.

Well I planted the replacement trees and they are growing great, so everything should be back to normal in about 2 days.

A couple improvements that I am enjoying with the DS game:

 

1- I love the accessories! Nice to change up your look a bit.

 

2- I am so glad we don't have to mail fossils away and that Blathers can identify them right away.

Well, I just got my DS, and Animal Crossing is DAMN AWESOME
