coasters 4 me Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 (edited) Once again, I am starting to work on a Flying Coaster called Taboo. I have just started on it and would like all you guys to comment on what you think of the layout. Thanks. P.S Could you please tell me what you think about the supports for the lift hill? The station. The brake run then into a lie to fly element and a small helix and hill. Most of the layout. The lift hill. Edited November 11, 2010 by mcjaco
RctInfinity Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 I think that the supports look unique! Good job on it! P.S. Maybe you can make scenery around it to make it look cool!
coasters 4 me Posted November 28, 2005 Author Posted November 28, 2005 I havent finished yet. I would never put a coaster for download without the custom supports not finished and no theming. I am working on it right now. It should hopefully be finished by next week. Because from wednesday, I am pretty busy at nights.
kenshinmac Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I think a diagonal lift is kinda a waste of space... Also custom supports mean that most people can't use the file...
RCT3Freak Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 That's really cool! If you can... the supports would look better if you put them on both sides. Just an opinion, you don't have to do it. That's really good work Coasters 4 Me! Also... DATman, what is hangar scenery? -~* RCT3Freak *~-

Just an opinion, you don't have to do it. That's really good work Coasters 4 Me! Also... DATman, what is hangar scenery? -~* RCT3Freak *~- It is the scenary that I have used for the station and also it contains other things aswell. I think a diagonal lift is kinda a waste of space... Also custom supports mean that most people can't use the file... I am using them because it adds more realistic detail to the coasters. But if you dont want me to use them, thats ok, because I like people to be happy with my creations and I like people to beable to download them. But saying that, I always give the site you can download the scenary that is required at the end of the update. Or else, do you think I should include the scenary items in the Zip. file contain the park? Anyway, I will have more updates later.
coasters 4 me Posted December 1, 2005 Author Posted December 1, 2005 Right. Since I havent had much time on my hands, I have only been able to finish the customs supports and queue and station. So here are some pics. Please tell me what you think of the supports, If there are too many or its OK. Thanks. Pretzel Loop, Overbank etc. Overbank. Station, Brake Run etc. Part of the Coaster away from the station.
kennywood!007 Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 Good job, this coaster is turning out great! !

coasters 4 me Posted December 3, 2005 Author Posted December 3, 2005 Ok, another very small update. I havent had time to play the game because I have really busy playing hockey. But, I will have an update in about 2hrs. I think I might be able to finish it today if I am not distracted. But I was thinking, do you think I should make a small park out of this? Like add thrill rides and water rides and a waterpark? Anyway, here is the update. I have added a small mountain range to make it interesting. It took me a while to get it right. So, hopefully you guys enjoy it. The mountain range.
coasterfreak101 Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 That looks really mnice, it gives it some "character", you know? I think that a small park could be sweet, it would give more of an atmosphere to the coaster!!!
coasters 4 me Posted December 3, 2005 Author Posted December 3, 2005 Ok, I have finished the coaster. I have trees all around it etc. I really like it. I have decided to turn the coaster into a small park. I have added a SkyCoaster and I want to know what you think of it. If it is out of place or anything. But the good thing about it is that it provides outstanding veiws of Taboo. Here are more picks. The veiw of Skycoaster. ...And the last one from Skycoaster. Another. And another. Another Veiw from Skycoaster. Veiw from Skycoaster. Overveiw of Taboo.
RCT3Freak Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 That looks so cool! For a while there I forgot what a skycoaster was... I wish I had Soaked! and/or Wild!
Waterpark101 Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 RCT3 Freak im pretty sure you need soaked to play wild and you obviously need RCT3 to play em both
coasters 4 me Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 I have finally finished the park. I was adding a waterpark in the park but it was taking ages to load. I thought there was no point. But anyway, here it is, I hope you like it. Also, please comment. These Scenery packs are needed: Pumper Steel Worx: http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=477830&perpage=30&highlight=&pagenumber=1 Hangar51: http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=485835&perpage=30&highlight=&pagenumber=1 If you dont know where to place these packs, Just go to C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3\Style\Themed and paste the Folder into this folder. Also, Soaked is Required! Taboo.dat.zip The coaster file. Picture I edited. Overveiw of the Park. Another... Overveiw... Veiw from Skycoaster. The Giant Flume ride. Coaster over veiw.
coasters 4 me Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 ^ Not that many. Only about 2G's. Well, it comes up something like that in the Stats and the Stats are pretty good.
CoasterPeep7 Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 How did you come up with Taboo? What does it mean?
niiicolaaah Posted December 16, 2005 Posted December 16, 2005 I really like your coaster. good job! I just have a couple suggestions. The supports kind of remind me of suspended coaster more than flying coaster. Maybe you could try making them more like an A on the lift hill: http://www.rcdb.com/ig1977.htm?picture=8 and have the supports, instead of coming straight down, have two segments: one that goes straight down, and one that goes off to an angle, like an A leaning over: http://www.rcdb.com/ig1977.htm?picture=3 The way they are just kind of remind me of a suspended coaster. http://www.rcdb.com/ig65.htm?picture=9 These are just suggestions! Kudos for doing it all yourself... I know I couldn't! Good job! 8)
coasters 4 me Posted December 17, 2005 Author Posted December 17, 2005 How did you come up with Taboo? What does it mean? I am not sure, I just sit and think of names, and also, I thought it was cool and it is the name of a Hockey Stick, and so is my other coaster, Voodoo, it is named after a Hockey Brand. I think it means: An inhibition or ban resulting from social custom or emotional aversion Or A prejudice (especially in Polynesia and other South Pacific islands) that prohibits the use or mention of something because of its sacred nature. Good job! Thanks for the tips, but unfortunately, you cannot get an A Frame supports to go Diagonal to the squares in RCT3. But, I could try and make one up and use it! And also, for not coming straight down, I will have to change that for my next coasters. Thanks for the comments. This really helps me know what to do and what not to do in my next coaster.
CoasterPeep7 Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 When you install the Soaked! Expansion, do you need to download something in order to get the supports?
coaster_type_of_person Posted December 18, 2005 Posted December 18, 2005 The supports don't come with the game it's custom scenery You can get them from http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=501186
