Erik Johnson
Yes we celebrated Thanksgiving today as well as millions of other people in the United States. Though our's was probably a lot smaller in scale. Anyways here are some pictures. Happy Turkey Day. Two miles from my house is this church from Devil's Advocate (Keanu Reeves). You can see it in the first 10 minutes of the movie. Here is our evil Subway. I wonder what the Oaks Mall parking lot is going to look like at 6:00 AM tomorrow. It was not too bad. I got the turkey. Leanne got the ham. Look at all those selections. I wonder if macaroni and cheese is considered pilgram food. They only were serving the Thanksgiving special today...though they were out of apple and pumpkin pie. As well as stuffing. It looks like we are not the only lazy people in Gainesville. Yes, they are open today. At around 4:00, we finally made it to Boston Market to celebrate Thanksgiving. Leanne decided to sleep in until 2:30 this afternoon. Louise
Looks like you guys had a chilled out day! Glad to see I'm not the only person who'll stay in bed until 2.30pm given half a chance!! Maybe it was just hard to tell from the photograph but it almost looks like your meal was a UK sized portion... I always struggled in Florida because every restaurant we went to gave me a plate three times the size what I would have in England...!
andrea
Hmm,that didn't look like enough food for 7.29 plus yall couldn't get the pie,I would hope that they charged less since they were out of dessert but the food did look good.Wait a minute, how come you guys weren't with your family
Erik Johnson
Yeah I agree, it was kind of a rip off for $7.29, what can you do? While both our families live in Gainesville, they decided to spend Thanksgiving away from us...
BelizeIt
I love Boston Market! I wish they had more Locations! The Nearest one to me is about 10 miles away! Let's face it, not Everyone wants to Cook up BirdZilla in their oven! So why not have your ThanksGiving Dinner Elsewhere. Personally, I had A Great ThanksGiving Dinner in Huntington Beach Today at a Restaurant called Chimayo!!!! Fantastic! It's Located right on the Beach! This Place was Packed! Great Food! Great Service! Overall, An Excellent Thanksgiving! Also, I played My Dvd Copy of the Devils Advocate (A Movie I Thought Was Great) and Yes Your Right That is The Church Featured in the Film! Excellent Movie!!!
DerekRx
Thats great, Erik! When I lived in Gainesville, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years was always celebrated at that exact Boston Market. All the goodness of turkey, ham, and meatloaf, none of the work in preparing or cleaning up afterwards!
Hattuchili
LOL, has Leanne seen this photo TR (first picture)? However, it looks like you had a relaxed day! --Sören
Scaparri
That TR really makes me miss Gainesville. I never realized how many movies have been filmed there either. I remember on my college tour they talked about how the bell tower has been in quite a few. Anyway, I'm going to have to try that sometime. You know, the whole going to Boston Market on Thanksgiving. Does anybody else remember when they were just called Boston Rotisserie?
